19/08/2026: I came for lunch with three friends during a shopping trip in early July. Everything went well: friendly service, good food... until two days later I realized I'd been overcharged, having failed to check the amount displayed on the card reader by the waiter. Since then, it's been a nightmare trying to get a refund for the overpayment!

18/08/2026: I really loved this place when I lived in Lille a few years ago. Back on vacation, I took some foreign friends there. The waiter, who was incredibly pushy, insisted that my friends, who didn't drink wine or coffee, order some. He didn't just translate for them; he went ahead with gestures and his somewhat awkward English, being very insistent. It was uncomfortable for everyone. Pushing people to buy things like that... I've experienced much better here. I'll keep my good memories and go somewhere else.

21/07/2026: It's a real shame and unfair to pay as much for the vegetarian dish as for the meat dish. It doesn't make sense. The portions are small. The food is average. The dessert is uninteresting. I was still very hungry when I left. Otherwise, the place is original, especially the convivial "terrace." I didn't see any cooperative aspect to the place, just the trendy, hipster vibe. This will be my one and only time.

16/07/2026: Baraka at lunchtime is always a good idea :-) And don't forget that you can use their services and take advantage of the venue for special occasions :-) Fresh cuisine and a menu that changes every day.

28/06/2026: The waitresses were very attentive. I had a beef tartare with fries and salad, which was quite generous, and the mandarin ice cream was delicious. Thanks also to the cooks. However, my cousin mentioned that the bar area where you pay the bill was a bit dark, and I noticed the rum bottles at the bar should be in a glass cabinet. This isn't a criticism, just a comment I forgot to mention to the waitresses. When you leave a tip, the bell rings and the cooks thank you. A little tip to finish: if you have a great meal, please leave a tip. Thank you to the whole team!

06/08/2026: We were eating peacefully when a waiter came up to us with a QR code, asking us to vote and give 5 stars in exchange for a free ice cream... well, I admit, being the silly person I am, I did it. I went to the till two minutes later, after giving 5 stars, and the cashier told me, "Sorry, no ice cream today!" 🤣🤣

24/05/2026: This hotel is a wonderful experience, an exceptional setting, a haven of peace, with simple but very comfortable rooms. The breakfast is excellent, with plenty of choice and delicious local products. The owner's cooking is exceptional; we enjoyed a stopover while cycling the Scandinavian Way and had a truly outstanding meal. The staff, servers, and owner all offer a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend it.

06/04/2026: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A fantastic Easter weekend at Château de la Motte in Liessies! The Easter menu was simply exceptional: generous, flavorful cuisine with excellent value for money. Special mention goes to the rack of lamb, perfectly paired with a very good red wine. The children's menu is also very well thought out: our daughter loved it! We also spent the night there in a very comfortable family room, with two separate areas and a lovely bathroom. A hearty breakfast was the perfect way to start the day. A warm welcome, impeccable service, and the kind of family atmosphere we love. We completely understand why the establishment is celebrating its 90th anniversary! A must-visit in the Avesnois region — we will definitely be back! 👍

10/08/2026: A warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff is incredibly attentive. The dishes are refined and beautifully presented. We tried the oysters, which were excellent, as were the anchovies and the octopus. The creamy egg was a delight. There's a wide selection of meat and fish, all high-quality products. The place is authentic and clean. A wonderful discovery; we'll gladly return on our next trip to the north.
