26/07/2026: Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. The wait between drinks and the meal was appreciated. And the meal... absolutely excellent. If you want to eat good couscous, go nowhere else but Baloua in Douai. We come two or three times a year and it's always a treat. Thank you.

19/07/2026: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An excellent shop on the Grand Place! Ideally located in the heart of Valenciennes, this Nicolas wine shop is a real gem. Although the space isn't huge, the store is impeccably laid out and a real pleasure to browse. You immediately feel at home. The selection is impressive: the whisky section is incredibly comprehensive, and the wine selection is very extensive, perfect for finding the ideal bottle, whether as a gift or a treat for yourself. A very pleasant surprise on the price front as well: I was expecting much higher prices, but they are surprisingly affordable! Finally, a special mention for the service: the staff are incredibly kind, truly attentive to customers, and offer excellent advice without ever being pushy. A neighborhood shop just the way we like them, one that makes you want to return regularly. You can go there with your eyes closed!

11/07/2026: Disappointment. During my last visit, I was eating at the restaurant when I was served a dish in which I noticed two hairs. I pointed this out to the waitress, who took my plate away and then returned, saying, "I've removed them." So she had removed the hairs to serve me the same dish. I asked for a different dish, since my friends were already served. When I went to the register, I was asked, "Did everything go well?" I replied that it didn't and explained why. I received no apology or gesture of goodwill; on the contrary, I felt like my word was being questioned. So that was the last time I went there.

21/06/2026: The website lists prices, but delivery is more expensive. Beware of scams; I got ripped off. Waiting an hour only to get ripped off in the end... pfff. Very disappointed, I'll never order from there again. At least at Domino's, the prices are reliable and not based on how much you think you can get away with it. The pizzas (when they're not burnt) and pasta are still very good.

25/04/2026: For a pizzeria open from 11 am to midnight, not answering the phone around 1 pm and not processing online orders is a shame… So we couldn't try it 🤷‍♂️

24/07/2026: I know this restaurant; the prices have skyrocketed. A pitcher of rosé is €11 for 25cl—too expensive! I won't be going back. People usually think Chinese restaurants are known for their value, but in this case, they've become unaffordable. The menu and dishes are overpriced. I'm a salesperson, and I know the going rates. I was very disappointed.

The setting is lovely, with a pretty flower-filled terrace, and the atmosphere is very family-friendly and unpretentious: you're guaranteed a joyful and festive time here! The food is delicious and well-prepared, offering excellent value for money. The owner is charming and accommodating (I'm vegetarian). In short, the only problem is that once you arrive, it's hard to leave...

14/08/2026: A delightful time spent at La Laiterie restaurant with my mother and godfather for my birthday! A little tip: bring reading glasses before opening the wine list... it's not just a wine list, it's practically an encyclopedia! You'd almost need a sommelier AND a librarian to make sense of it!! 🤣 That said, it's a pleasure to get lost in it. A truly beautiful table, a magnificent setting, and refined cuisine that delights the palate as much as the eyes. A special thanks to Florian, who made this moment even more enjoyable. A place I highly recommend!
