28/01/2026: After a difficult day, we went to get a little sweet treat (a sundae) for my daughter. Since the "Very Parfait" brand is no longer available, we always ask for an extra caramel (20 cents). Anyway, when we received it, it wasn't appetizing, as usual—there was no caramel on top. I mentioned it to a lovely young woman who took it back and added some more, explaining that we don't order peanuts because she doesn't like them (wasteful). Her colleague, the one who took the order and payment, suddenly appeared, glared at her, and demanded to know what she was doing. Then she rudely snatched it back from me and said, "It's fine, the product is as it should be, you already have the extra!" (which I paid for). Taken aback by her behavior, I told her that was the last time we would ever go there. With a nasty look, she turned on her heel, ignoring us. And this kind, disgusted colleague apologized several times on her behalf... well, dear Madam, times are tough for everyone! But when you're a professional, you leave your nastiness and your dirty looks outside! We're not here to put up with you! And if my daughter wants to have a caramel binge, that's her problem! Once again, a sad example, but a life lesson for my daughter, so for that, THANK YOU!

09/07/2025: Last-minute reservation for the first time at this restaurant. The reservation is made on their website. I request a table for two on the terrace. Request honored. The service is very good. The food is good. The value for money is very reasonable. One small drawback: the owner, who surely wants to do the right thing, lets his stress out, which leads him to make some unpleasant remarks. Example: given the late reservation, call next time. A gratuitous and unconstructive remark. When you're a new customer, you can't tell. Likewise, when it came time to pay, I paid €25 by restaurant card. I asked to pay the rest by credit card. I spoke to my husband for a few seconds, the owner took my credit card, made a contactless payment, and left... Not acceptable to the customer.

09/02/2026: We regularly stay at the IBIS in Dunkirk and have never been disappointed! Very comfortable bedding, spacious rooms... During Carnival season, when the hotel is covered in feathers and the rooms require extra cleaning, the housekeeping staff do a remarkable job to keep everything spotless. The reception staff are always very friendly. A special mention goes to Julien at reception, who, with great kindness, humor, and thoughtfulness, welcomes Carnival-goers returning from their evenings out and makes their stay even more enjoyable. A big thank you to the whole team!
