10/03/2026: Deceptive business practices. Promotions advertised on pastries not applied. Regarding the owner's response: I couldn't tell you, as there was no additional information on the board displaying the promotions when I passed by at 7:30 am (promotions of 10 chocolate croissants or croissants for €6). I made the mistake of coming back to your establishment; lesson learned. Fake promotions, not applied, are displayed to attract customers or encourage consumption; it's simply fraud. Go look at the reviews of your establishment; it's clearly a very common practice...

01/05/2026: The welcome was disappointing. They started talking to us, then left us standing there. Another server came to seat us, and we had to wait at least 15 minutes before we finally got up and were taken care of. The meal was served very quickly, perhaps too quickly, as the Welsh rarebit was tasteless and dry. The person behind the bar preparing the eggs was eating them while licking their fingers—not very hygienic. The fries weren't fresh; they were frozen. And when it came time to pay, the cashier and the waitress were unfriendly. They didn't accept feedback and were condescending.

03/06/2026: Visited today, Wednesday, June 3rd. I was served by a man who wasn't very pleasant. I thought I was getting a box of cream puffs, but instead I received a bag. Given that it was raining, the food was soggy. The service needs improvement. I won't be returning to this establishment in Grande-Synthe, but to another one with better service and a warm welcome.

18/05/2026: I arrived this Monday, May 18th, before 9 am and asked for a chicken sandwich. The cashier looked at me and said, "I only have tuna or ham." I told her I wanted chicken, and the answer was no. So I explained that they usually make one for me when I ask, and then she told me they were out of chicken, as if by chance? Either the stock management isn't done properly, or the employees are lazy. Furthermore, one of the two cashiers was unpleasant—no greeting, no eye contact, just the feeling that I was bothering them—so I left without buying anything. Never again.

24/09/2025: Good bakery, pleasant and cheerful salesperson. I ordered a sandwich deal for €8.40, which was a bit pricey...

20/04/2026: We ordered a large order of fries for €4.50 on a Monday evening. The fries were tasteless, dry, even hard; they felt like they'd been cooked multiple times. Was it simply improper cooking or the product itself? In any case, it's not a new, high-performance fryer, as you claim, that makes a good fry! It's the person who cooks it! It's a shame to invest so much in fries that could be compared to poorly cooked oven fries. And to top it all off, they cooled down incredibly quickly, even though we live right next door. The result: disgusting. We wanted to try it; based on the reviews, it was a fifty-fifty chance, but we won't be back.

25/04/2026: It smells strongly of Provençal herbs after closing time, with the door wide open and three of us sitting on the worktops.

30/05/2026: The best chip shop ever! Finally, good, fresh fries served in generous portions at an attractive price, unlike other chip shops, especially in Tourcoing city center where they're neither fresh nor very expensive. I often go back to Gaiguette's on weekends; it's a real treat for my taste buds... And for those who say they're disappointed with the cooking or that it's expensive, you're finding problems where there aren't any; you can't expect to have your cake and eat it too!

18/06/2026: A lovely time on the terrace, near the pool, overlooking a large park. Soothing. The meat needs to be cooked properly. We were able to recharge the car at the parking lot charging station. We'll be back on our return trip :)!
