29/07/2026: So, we're in a train station, yes, it's a chain, yes, but the coffee is definitely delicious. Don't be put off by the Starbucks window display. This So Coffee is a real treat; the baristas are polite and attentive. The coffee is just right—hot, comforting, and with no aftertaste. It's a real comfort to order from them in the morning, whether you're in a rush or a hurry (always late in train stations, it's a given), awake or half asleep. Go there, you won't regret it. See you soon for an Americano. P.S.: I don't know anything about the quality of their other products.

19/07/2026: A salesman who demands formal address even though he can't smile! Using informal address isn't disrespectful when accompanied by polite words and empathy! I won't be going back to this place!!!

11/07/2026: Bakery that's getting ridiculously expensive... I bought a mini wrap meal for €14.85. I asked them if that was normal, and they said yes. My advice: go to McDonald's.

07/07/2026: I'm very disappointed with the pizzas from this Marie Blachère bakery. They aren't cooked to order but simply reheated, which is immediately noticeable. The crust lacks crispness, the toppings are unevenly lukewarm, and the result is far from a freshly made pizza. For the price, I expected a better quality product. It's a shame, because it feels more like eating a reheated item than a real pizza. I don't think I'll be ordering them again.

17/08/2026: Pevele Istanbul – Review A lovely Turkish restaurant with very reasonable prices and generous portions. The food was enjoyable, fresh and well presented, with a good variety of choices on the menu. The service was friendly, warm and welcoming. A special mention to Duran Abi 🥰 and Sultan Abla 🥰 — they were both so friendly, kind and attentive, and made us feel very welcome. Especially sitting in the back garden was such a lovely experience — a relaxed, pleasant atmosphere that made the meal even more enjoyable. 🌿✨ For the price, I think it offers really good value for money. A lovely place for a relaxed meal with friendly service. I would happily visit again! ❤️

13/07/2026: Ordering and then not getting anything to eat. The order wasn't fulfilled, and on top of that, they had the nerve to speak rudely on the phone. A basic thing like not including raw vegetables or sauce in one of the breads isn't rocket science... There was also a sandwich missing from the order. In short, the service needs improvement, as do their politeness and business acumen.

15/04/2026: Their kebabs were very questionable, with sauces that had been left out too long. The price was good, but if their kebabs were better, the staff would be welcoming, but that's the only positive point.

09/07/2026: I'll never set foot in that place again. It's by far one of the worst experiences I've had at a pizzeria in Douai. Today, Thursday, I first asked an employee if the offer prominently displayed on the front ("buy one pizza, get two free") was still valid. She clearly replied: yes. I then ordered a small pizza for €12.70. The server took my order and told me there would be a 15-minute wait. I came back 15 minutes later and learned that he had simply forgotten to send the order to the kitchen. My pizza hadn't even started to be prepared. Not a single apology. I waited for another 20 minutes. In the end, nearly 40 minutes of waiting for just one small pizza. When I finally received my order, I asked where the two other pizzas promised by the promotion were. I was told I should have specified it when ordering. Are you kidding me?? It's completely absurd since I specifically asked before ordering if the offer was still valid, and I was told it was. As a result, I paid €12.70 for a tiny pizza that's absolutely not worth that price, I waited almost 40 minutes because of a staff mistake, and the advertised offer wasn't even applied. Unfortunately, this isn't the first bad experience. On a previous visit, I simply asked if it was possible to buy a large empty pizza box. I needed to find one for my child's birthday contest. They quoted me… €10 for a simple cardboard box. I felt like they were just trying to take advantage of me because of my accent. Between promotions that aren't applied, order errors, interminable delays, exorbitant prices, and appalling customer service, this pizzeria gives a very bad impression of the business. The value for money is catastrophic. The size of the pizza in no way justifies its price, and the service is simply unacceptable. I strongly advise against this establishment. Fortunately, there are many better pizzerias in Douai where customers are treated with far more respect.

13/07/2026: I went to lunch at this establishment a few days ago with a friend and we ordered a €16 set menu. What a disappointment! There were very few vegetables, very little couscous, and, most importantly, a merguez sausage with a small meatball, accompanied by a very hard dessert and a coffee. We left feeling unsatisfied, and as a result, we won't be going back.

08/07/2026: It's a shame the all-you-can-eat option isn't actually all-you-can-eat... half our order never arrived... an hour later we were still waiting. At €25 for the option, it's a huge disappointment!

02/07/2026: We had chosen this Asian restaurant as our favorite. We would come here to recharge during our work breaks. The welcome is polite but rather cold and curt. You get the feeling you have to be quick to choose, but hey, you come here to be served quickly and eat well. As for the food, we were never disappointed. It's excellent, very refined! We love the daily special. However, we were disappointed on our last visit: the menus have all changed. You have the choice between all-you-can-eat (still €25) or the daily special (€16.50). Alternatively, you can order noodles and rice (chicken, beef, or shrimp for €14.50) as a separate dish. The woman told us that this change was due to difficulties in the kitchen regarding the variety of choices. The daily special has gone up from €15.50 to €16.50, and now if you want dessert, it costs €2, and desserts are unlimited... In short, we enjoyed our meal but were disappointed by the menu change, which used to offer more options. We thanked the waitress who kindly agreed to accommodate us and make a few changes to our daily special, but she was then berated by the chef in front of all the other customers... Quite an embarrassing moment... In summary, delicious food, superb setting, fast service, but a menu change and price increase that give pause for thought, and a welcome that, while polite, was rather cold and curt.
