08/09/2024: We had a (superb) 5-night stay at the Brikéténia hotel. The room (great comfort) was spacious, very well equipped, with very good bedding. We had reserved the chef's Basque cake for our arrival which is very delicate. Great welcome from Léa at reception on the first day who was also very available throughout our stay as were her colleagues at reception. Breakfast offers local and fresh products (daily pastries from the chef) of very good quality. We also appreciated the professionalism and kindness of Maika who took care of the breakfast room during our stay. The dishes served at Briket-Bistro were excellent and the service provided by Miguel and his friendly and professional colleague. Finally, special mention to the gourmet restaurant and its team. We (again) had a superb meal there with a delicious, well-balanced menu and a magnificent apricot dessert. The food and wine pairing offered was also perfect. A very beautiful house, whether on the hotel side or the restaurant(s) side, with truly adorable staff and a warm, family atmosphere. Thanks again! G. Moreau and G. Mione

28/08/2024: I can't speak for the hotel, as we only had dinner at the restaurant. But everything was wonderful. I highly recommend it.

15/10/2024: Passing through Pau. It's been a long time since I ate duck. So I stopped there, duck being the specialty. I chose half a duck breast with honey. Very well balanced dish, the duck breast cooked as requested, all accompanied by a good glass of wine. Enough to spend a good evening. Fair price. The chef goes around the tables, which has become rare.

11/10/2024: Very good meal: duck confit, new potatoes, excellent salad and French toast dessert with shards of “suede” yoghurt ice cream, killer.....!!!! Very friendly welcome. I recommend...

29/09/2024: We discovered the restaurant by chance while passing by on the road and it fascinated us. Beautiful and well-kept, easy parking. All the staff were lovely, in particular Carolina who was super friendly and attentive. They gave us a high chair for the baby. Everything we ordered was delicious, the artichokes with clams and serrano chips, the spectacular crab casserole and the squid in its ink. The dessert is also delicious. We want to return to the area and we plan to go again, since we are looking forward to trying some grilled dishes!!!

28/09/2024: If you are looking for a typical local restaurant, don't hesitate, you will be well received. Charming place, copious dishes, welcoming staff and owners. I can only recommend.

30/08/2024: Un petit restaurant qui ne paie pas de mine, mais ce qui est dans les assiettes est délicieux, et c’est bien le plus important. Des plats et des desserts très bien travaillés pour des prix tout à fait raisonnables. Nous avons adoré.

24/08/2024: Accueil sympa et convivial confirmé lors du service. Carte simple mais de qualité très bon produits faux filet excellent avec une excellente cuisson bref l'excellence !!!!

19/09/2024: Nous étions 6 amis a venir diner à ce restaurant et nous avons tous été enchantés par nos plats qui étaient tous différents! Je ne laisse jamais d'avis d’ordinaire mais là cela vaut vraiment le coup de prendre le temps; J'ai été surprise de constater a quel point le plat Vegan proposé était délicieux, très travaillé et réalisé avec beaucoup de soin. Beaucoup de saveurs parfaitement assemblées, une réalisation d'une grande finesse! Bravo. Si vous connaissez la serie tv "The Bear" je pourrais sans problème comparer la qualité des plats servis avec ceux du Venta Gaxuxa. L'endroit est très agréable, la musique choisie est juste parfaite est n'est ni trop forte, ni pas assez. Tout est très propre ainsi que la cuisine (gage de grand professionnalisme pour moi est assez rare). Ah oui.. si vous aimez les Olives faites maison en apéritif, vous ne voudrez plus jamais en gouter d'autres après!! 24/09/2024: Very nice culinary experience with food and wine pairings. The chef and his brigade are on the job, very gently and the result is there. A downside on the tuna belly and the lamb which for my taste are a little too nervous. The 2 sweet dishes are to die for.

12/09/2024: Un accueil des plus souriant pour un dîner de qualité. La cuisine y est excellente avec des produits de qualité et cuisinés à l’instant. Les poissons sont frais et les plats copieux, et le conseil est lá pour nous éviter de surconsommer au vu des tentations de la carte proposée. Bref ! Nous y reviendrons c’est certain !

09/09/2024: Si vous recherchez un restaurant de poissons et crustacés courrez y !! Les cuissons parfaites, le produit très frais est respecté. Un délice ! Rapport qualité prix au top. La parrillada avec des supions délicieux, des gambas gouteuses et un poisson parfait. En entrée des couteaux très tendres... J en ai rarement mangés d'aussi bons. Les desserts ; je recommande la glace au pamplemousse. Nous reviendrons.

16/12/2024: La cuisine est bonne.... mais les patrons antipathiques, expéditifs. Heureusement que leur serveuse est agréable et efficace. Attention, s'ils peuvent vous faire payer 2 fois la même conso, ils le tenteront. Ils ont essayé 2 fois dans la même soirée.
