04/09/2024: During a weekend in the Basque country, we stopped for lunch at the inn and we had a great time! The dishes are tasty and the service attentive and efficient. This address is worth the detour, you can go there with your eyes closed.

20/08/2024: We had a great time in this restaurant. The managers are lovely, although we arrived at 2pm as a family of 5 and 1 child, they were very welcoming and the meal was excellent. We felt like home there. Thanks again for the welcome!

29/09/2024: Very friendly welcome, comfortable bed, shame though, our room had a balcony but we couldn't open the window! As a result, the shutter remained open and for the night, without a blackout curtain, it was a bit average. But I think it's a temporary problem, the other rooms had access to the balcony and frankly, we slept really well if we omit this little inconvenience! Thanks for the welcome :)

20/09/2024: For our 10th wedding anniversary, my husband gave me the pleasant surprise of taking me to dinner in a gourmet restaurant. A very pleasant experience full of discoveries. We opted for the tasting menu. A choice that turned out to be excellent in terms of flavors and textures. The service staff were very pleasant and very professional, a young and dynamic team. We were a little disconcerted by the number of different staff who served us during our meal (3 sommeliers and 4 different waiters) animated like automatons with very theatrical speeches showing little spontaneity. This gives a perhaps a little too impersonal side to the culinary experience. The atmosphere of the place is warm but the interior design and architecture of the place does not resemble the cuisine offered and lacks more youthful and refined energy. However, I always admire the choice of tableware to brighten up the dishes. This in no way changes the quality of the plate and the flavors that we discovered. The textures, colors and designs of the dishes transported us! Favorite for the hot cold chocolate dessert, a surprising moment. Thank you again for this culinary trip to the Basque country that I will not soon forget.

17/09/2024: Second visit one year apart. Tasting menu, and of the six dishes offered, three were almost identical to the previous year in taste and presentation. Renewal and creativity seem necessary to me to maintain the star!

Le dressage des assiettes rapides , mais il manque la touche pour faire vraiment quelque chose de gastronomique La carte des vins est décevante dans les appellations loco- régionales , par exemple en blanc un seul Irouleguy , sans mention de domaine ! Simply excellent, crispy black pudding and squids, braised octopus salicornia caprons and small vegetables, local cheeses, plus the discovery of a white wine aged underwater in Socoa. And all this for a very reasonable price of €49 without wine and coffee. Add to that a perfect welcome and service. Well done, I will come back to enjoy other dishes like the duck roasted with Japanese Bb and garnished with summer truffle. Hmm!!!

26/08/2024: Ladies and gentlemen, let's get straight to the point, you MUST stop and enjoy some wonderful food at this restaurant. Words will certainly be difficult to express our satisfaction with this establishment, but I will still try to convey it. We have already returned there 4 times in one week, which is already a good sign, even a very good one. Let's take it step by step, first you will land in a bucolic, almost magical setting in the heart of the mountain, in a small village typical of the Basque country, with its quiet little streets and its beautiful red and white houses. From the terrace, a reassuring, soothing view, the impression of being in the heart of nature, breathing the fresh air of a delicious moment of relaxation and calm. Secondly, the welcome… well… the word Perfect will I think be used a lot in this comment. A welcome as we like them, a smile, a joie de vivre, a sense of service and “to please” which almost makes you want to work with the team. Always the right word, a clear and clear explanation of the menu, a sharing of the restaurant's values ​​such as the proximity of the products, a cheese that comes from barely 5 minutes away, like the jam, a sharing of Basque culture and typical products highlighted. Let’s get to the heart of the matter with what we tasted. Once again, I have no words other than perfect to write. We literally had a blast every time we went there. Our special mentions go to the hake dish and polenta, the Tahitian vanilla crème brûlée and finally, the famous tiramisu with cherry jam. Everything is delicious, homemade, quality, I told you… perfect! I had to take the time to carefully write this well-deserved comment, I do not regret it and would even like to say even more. We would therefore like to thank you very sincerely for contributing to a perfect vacation with these little moments of happiness and pleasure. A truly excellent meal, thanks to his wife Solange who prepared a delicious meal for us. When we come back to the area, that's for sure we will come back to eat in this exceptional place.👍🏼

03/09/2024: Habitación para dos adultos y dos niños muy confortable, comida típica muy buena y gran atención. En el menú acertaréis con la trucha, más sabrosa la que se sirve completa con mantequilla que la de salsa vasca. Jamón típico de la zona excelente, aunque se me hizo raro que lo adornarán con una guindilla.

We came to take possession of the keys thinking of going for a walk afterwards...but the kindness of the welcome and the beauty, good taste and comfort of the accommodation led us to stay to fully enjoy the place.
