01/03/2026: On a Saturday evening at 6 pm, we received a warm welcome on the phone and were given a table at our preferred time (8:30 pm) for two couples with two children, a total of six people. The reviews I'd read on various platforms made me hesitate, but oh well, let's give them a chance. The staff was very welcoming upon our arrival. The restaurant was full, but the overall atmosphere was quite noisy, making conversation difficult. We ordered aperitifs. The cocktails (Spritz and mojito) were good, decent but nothing special. Our main courses were: two scallops for €28, two pasta dishes for €18 and €19, and two children's menus (drink, main course, and ice cream) for €13 (veal escalope with cream sauce and spaghetti, overcooked but with a rather pleasant sauce). The drinks arrived, and we asked that the children (ages 6 and 2) be served first, which they did. Without exaggeration, three minutes later, all the dishes arrived at once. We barely had time to finish our drinks before they rushed to finish them. Outrageous... first mistake. The two bottles of wine arrived without proper service, opened and placed on the table without being presented or tasted... second mistake. The dishes we chose were tasty, but could have been a bit more generous. The scallops were fresh and perfectly pearly, but the "rosemary potato mille-feuille," for example, was ridiculously small. We had to ask several times for a child's drink and dessert... third mistake. And the highlight of the show: the moment to pay the bill. I paid by credit card without checking the details, out of habit and blind trust, but the total of €321 raised my suspicions; it seemed significant. Two minutes later, I realized, in two stages, that all the adult dishes had been doubled: €112 for the scallops, and the two pasta dishes were also doubled at €36 and €38, for a total overcharge of €93. This was refunded in cash with a half-hearted verbal apology, but no gesture of goodwill for the error (no complimentary digestif, for example). Game, set, and match. Disappointing. This confirms what I had read: avoid this place.

29/10/2025: We ordered the house specialty: pasta with foie gras served in a Parmesan wheel. For a relaxed start to the day, we opted for an aperitif, but just a few minutes after receiving our drinks, the waiter brought us our main course. We pointed out that we hadn't finished our aperitifs, but he didn't seem to mind. The portion of pasta served was rather small; in short, what was supposed to be a wonderful experience turned out to be a disappointment.

08/03/2026: Beautiful interior and lovely terrace! The pizzas and pasta we chose were good, but I have doubts about the homemade desserts as stated on the menu. They seemed more like mass-produced items. A shame!

02/03/2026: The cocktails at Café Foresta are truly delicious, well-balanced, and beautifully presented. You can tell there's real expertise behind the bar. Unfortunately, a dispute over payment spoiled the entire experience. The situation was poorly handled and left a negative impression that overshadowed everything else. It's a shame, because the place has potential, but this kind of incident severely tarnishes the memory of the evening.

08/02/2026: I've been to a lot of brasseries, but this one is the worst 🤣 I attended a meeting there, and it was a disaster. First of all, let's talk about the food: it's ridiculously expensive for what it is. When you order a salmon galette for €13 with Emmental cheese and salmon (really, just those ingredients), we're not talking about price in Paris anymore, it's just a rip-off. I ordered a mushroom risotto, and I'll let you imagine what the risotto looked like, but what I got was more like vomit. Seriously though, I tasted the dish, and unsurprisingly, all you could taste was cream. It was really bad. A friend of mine also ordered an egg and Emmental galette... and his was missing the egg. Absolutely nothing was right, from the food to the service. Go somewhere else or just go to McDonald's, there will be much more variety there.

08/02/2026: The place is perfect for an evening with family and friends; the couscous makes you want to go back, and the karaoke night is definitely not to be missed... great atmosphere... We had a wonderful evening there.

14/01/2026: The pizzas used to be very good, but last night was a huge disappointment... 3 pizzas with grease dripping from them... really not good... the goat cheese was cheap, it tasted like plastic, it didn't even melt... no flavor at all... by cutting costs too much, you're going to lose your customers, what a shame! I won't be going back. And regarding your response, I'm 38 years old, I know what a pizza looks like, we always order the same ones! And your pizzas have become low-quality, sorry if you can't accept the truth, and many of us are expressing the same disappointment. Take a good look at yourselves. Yes, things have changed, I've been ordering from you for years. 4 customers lost, and judging by the comments, many more. It's a shame to doubt the customer's word, it really makes a bad impression.

01/04/2026: Superb! After a terrible experience at Carmelo's, we went to Casa Nobile without a reservation. We were welcomed promptly, despite the restaurant being nearly full, with big smiles and great professionalism from the entire team. A small but warm and very typical restaurant, a true "trattoria." Quality ingredients, authentic Italian dishes, always very well prepared. This time, we ordered a four-seasons pizza and leg of lamb with new potatoes—a real treat! A wonderful Italian interlude in the heart of Lyon! We will definitely return.
