30/08/2026: DISAPPOINTMENT While the service during the day is adequate at this restaurant, the evening is a completely different story. We had reserved a table for 9:00 PM on Saturday. Upon being seated, our order was taken very (too) quickly. Throughout the meal, we felt pressured by the waitresses to make us understand that the restaurant would be closing around 10:00 PM! This feeling of being a nuisance was extremely unpleasant! Only one hour for dinner with friends on a Saturday night is unacceptable in such an establishment! The staff's behavior was neither friendly nor professional. We will definitely be avoiding this place and will forget it very quickly!

14/08/2026: After several years away, we returned to Mongelli (a brand we've known since it opened in Tournefeuille) for its reputation and the assurance of authentic, handcrafted takeaway pizza. Unfortunately, a huge disappointment! The toppings were practically nonexistent, the cheese was rubbery and the portion small, the tomato sauce was industrial and acidic, and the herbs were insignificant. The value for money was frankly disappointing. Mongelli's excellence has morphed into a business brand that prioritizes profitability over taste! We won't be returning after two disappointing takeaway orders, especially since we took the trouble to verbally share our observations about our order in May (Diavola) when placing the second order (Bufalina), seemingly to no avail! Trust is broken. Arrivederci!

02/08/2026: After a temporary closure, Da Sergio is back in full force! Delighted to see it again with this brand and institute that has since become part of La Ciotat... a conviction of good and traditional Neapolitan cuisine...🥰

27/08/2026: You love Marseille and its traditional cuisine. Discover La Mamma, a place where time seems to stand still, with grilled meats and wood-fired pizzas. Stéphane and Bruno are on top form for the start of the new season: bouride, daube, sardines, pieds-paquets, foie gras with garlic... In short, you get the idea: authentic, good, local fare.

01/08/2026: This is an authentic restaurant where you'll find regulars from Marseille and where the owner welcomes you with typical Provençal warmth. Excellent value for money, and the portions are generous.

No effort was made to present it; it looked like a school cafeteria, to put it politely... and when I asked if it was possible to have a dish without mushrooms, I received them anyway. I mentioned it, and to my surprise, they brought me back the same plate after roughly picking through it to remove a few mushrooms (there were still some left on my plate, and it was presented even more poorly; I couldn't believe it). Unacceptable.

13/08/2026: What a wonderful discovery on Rue Pleney! We had a delightful time at this restaurant. The food is simply excellent and the portions are generous. The pasta was cooked to perfection, and the pizza, with its mushrooms and cured meats, was a real treat. Everything was very tasty and served with a smile. We will definitely be back.
