15/05/2026: Hello everyone, Last night, we decided to try this restaurant in Neuilly-sur-Marne, located along the RN34. We often drive past it, and this place had always intrigued us. What a pleasant surprise! The welcome was warm, and the service, while unpretentious, was equally so. A peaceful atmosphere emanates from this Italian restaurant, where you can chat quietly and comfortably. We were served promptly, and the owner answered all our questions and requests during the meal—what more could you ask for? I've added a few photos of our dinner, and I'd like to take this opportunity to recommend the Sicilian escalope, a real treat with its spaghetti in Neapolitan sauce. The bill of €52 for two starters, main courses, and mint tea was very reasonable. Don't hesitate to stop by for lunch or dinner. You shouldn't judge a book by its cover; you'll be charmed by this rather discreet establishment.

25/03/2026: Ordered by phone on a Monday evening at 7:00 PM to pick up the pizzas at 8:00 PM. For parking, there are spaces available on the street and a parking lot less than 100 meters away. On arrival, a warm welcome and no delays. At 8:00 PM, the last two of the nine pizzas were finishing cooking. A loyalty card and a bottle of rosé were offered. A very nice gesture for buying nine pizzas. Regarding the pizzas, there were eight XXL and one medium. The nine pizzas had eight different toppings. All the pizzas were delicious, the crust was extra thin, and the pizzas were generously topped. For an average eater, half an XXL pizza is enough. For a big eater, the XXL pizza is perfect; you'll be completely satisfied after finishing it. Considering the size of the XXL pizza, the price is unbeatable. A place to return to without hesitation!

16/09/2026: We were already familiar with this restaurant, having visited several times during previous trips to the area, and I particularly remembered their carbonara. So I ordered it again this time, but unfortunately, it was nothing like I remembered. The pasta arrived lukewarm and, more importantly, very dry, lacking the emulsion of egg, cheese, and pasta water that makes up the essence of carbonara. It wasn't bad, but the texture almost gave the impression of a reheated dish where the pasta had absorbed all the sauce. I want to emphasize that this was just an impression, not that it was actually the case. I mentioned it to the waiter, who explained that there's no cream in a real carbonara, which I already knew perfectly well since it was precisely for their authentic carbonara that I had come back. He assured me the sauce was there and suggested there might have been not enough cooking water for the emulsion. He then said he would check with the kitchen… but never got back to us. What I disliked most, however, wasn't the dish itself. Shortly after, the man I believe to be the owner came out onto the terrace, looked at us from a distance, and laughed. I obviously don't know what caused this laughter or if it had anything to do with our comment, but in that context, the scene was quite unpleasant. When it came time to pay, his unusually friendly tone contrasted so sharply with what had just happened that it left me with a rather strange feeling. A dish can be a dud, it happens, and I probably wouldn't have even left a review for that. It was mainly the way our comment was received, and then left unanswered, that disappointed me. Especially since we knew this establishment at a time when we enjoyed returning and the terrace was much more lively. This time, unfortunately, we left with the feeling that something had changed.

23/08/2026: Great pizza, only downside: we took them to go to the lakeside and they weren't cut, what a shame.

18/08/2026: I wanted to eat perch fillets meunière, basic. The butter was full of black specks and looked burnt. The shallots on top were, well, burnt; I ate two and they all went back to the kitchen. More than disappointed... On the other hand, I was offered a glass of wine, but the €34 plate cost me full price even though everything went in the bin. The worst perch fillets I've ever tasted.

02/01/2026: This so-called Black Forest log looks more like a cream-filled sewer grate, packed with cherries with an excessive alcohol content 😵‍💫 It cost us €40 for a mouthful of low-quality cream 😑 Run to Picard instead; you can buy three infinitely better logs for the same price. Furthermore, the service was very unpleasant and nonchalant; I was practically smelling the saleswoman's cigarette smoke as she let it waft into the shop. 🚭

13/08/2026: I just got off the phone with a very unfriendly woman who didn't seem to want to work at all. It's shameful to speak to a customer like that. I definitely do not recommend this restaurant.

04/08/2026: A complete rip-off: it's no longer Pepone, the menu is unacceptable and the service deplorable; they wrapped what they call a "pizza" to take away in aluminum foil! Never again

16/06/2026: My husband and I have been regulars at Pepone's for several years. We've always been happy with our pizzas… until last Sunday! The quality is gone, the pizzas have no flavor. Apart from the typical takeaway cheese… the waiter gives us those takeaway pizza-style hot sauce packets instead, telling us they're the best 😳 We miss the good old days of Pepone! It's a real shame, but we won't be back, and if this poor quality continues, I think we won't be the only ones.

10/09/2026: I went there for a group meal; we were seated on the covered terrace out front. The staff were very friendly, and the service was excellent. The main course and dessert were both delicious (salmon and tiramisu for me) 👍 I don't live nearby, but if I were ever in Morhange again, I would definitely go back.

29/08/2026: The welcome is warm. Everything is homemade. The pizza dough and the flammekueche, cooked in a wood-fired oven, are excellent. My daughter also enjoyed the lasagna. A very good place.
