31/07/2026: We visited this cozy Italian restaurant yesterday, and it’s a bit of a mixed bag. On the culinary side, everything was fantastic. We ordered the lasagna, and a plate for two which were exceptionally generous, delicious, and cooked to perfection. The owner, who managed and served alongside one waiter, was wonderfully polite, efficient, and added a very pleasant, authentic atmosphere by greeting us with a few Italian words while communicating mostly in English. Unfortunately, the overall experience was heavily impacted by the poor service from the waiter. Basic hospitality standards were noticeably missing: * **Water:** When we asked for a bottle of tap water, he tried to push bottled sparkling or still water instead. He also completely forgot our request and brought nothing instead Only when the owner served the dishes we asked again and he brought us water quite fast. * **Wine Service:** When serving our wine, he poured it as fast as possible and rushed away, never checking on us again. * **Attentiveness & Basic Requests:** We needed olive oil and salt, but because the waiter never came back to check on the table, we had to get up and ask him directly. He promised to bring them, but never did. We finally got what we needed only when the owner walked by and brought it immediately after we asked him a second time. * **Atmosphere:** The waiter carried a distinctly unpleasant aura, and at the end of the meal during payment—when it was likely obvious we were dissatisfied—neither of them bothered to ask how everything went. The kitchen and the owner are wonderful, but good food can only go so far when the service falls completely short of what one expects.

31/07/2026: Aggressive service. The food is a jumble of products bought from a supplier with no added value whatsoever. Add to that exorbitant prices and a wine list with only two selections: one at €35 and the other at €130... Avoid at all costs.

11/08/2026: Excellent service! A very kind lady who, despite a busy evening, took the time to quickly prepare my pizza even though I hadn't ordered in advance. Fast service and excellent pizza, I highly recommend it!

30/07/2026: Fab little pizzeria which we used (twice) when staying locally. Fantastic range, great flavours and very good value. You can even pick up a beer or wine too. Mostly takeaway but you can eat in the square outside and enjoy the sun.

12/07/2026: The kitchen is not clean at all. You can see the other comments about the hygiene, despite the owner's denials. I ate a really bad taco. I strongly advise against going there.

06/09/2026: The coffee was very good, the beer was delicious, but the pizza was actually a flatbread dough (fragile and flat) with tomato sauce, herbs de Provence, and 90% of it covered in cheese. It was tasty, but calling it a pizza... is rather misleading. Italian-style flatbread would be a more accurate description. 😁 Don't get me wrong, it was tasty, but it's not a pizza, not in my opinion. The staff is friendly, the location is beautiful and right by the sea. I've attached a photo of my own pizza.

10/09/2026: The mussels were okay, but the lasagne was awful and not cooked at all, just tasted like canned tomato sauce, they won't see me again.

10/09/2026: Nice in September, not too crowded. The set menu included salmon steak, a starter of 4 calamari fritters, 2 accras (cod fritters), a tempura, and 2 mozzarella bites, for around €23. The mussels with Roquefort cheese were a good value at €16.50. The view was next to the fountains in the square, with the sea in the distance. Pleasant, reasonably priced for a lunchtime stroll.

27/08/2026: The staff were very welcoming. We ordered three pizzas. The dough was excellent. The pizzas were really very good for the price. Excellent value for money. We recommend it.

And then there’s SOS Pizza Poulet. No white tablecloths. No sommelier explaining the emotional journey of the grapes. No tiny architectural masterpiece arranged with tweezers on an oversized plate. Just a rotisserie chicken. Hot. Salty. Juicy. Honest. The kind of chicken you tear apart with your hands because cutlery suddenly seems like an unnecessary complication. The kind of food that, after a long day, doesn’t just feed you — it restores some basic faith in the universe. We arrived hungry. We left human again. Sometimes the meal you remember isn’t the Michelin-starred one. Sometimes it’s a rotisserie chicken from a little place in Cannes that, for one glorious evening, saved our souls. Five stars. No notes.
