10/06/2025: I stayed, but in hindsight, I probably should have left the establishment as soon as our order was taken. When the waitress came back to us (without us calling her), I simply said I was hesitant and asked if she could offer me advice. A banal and perfectly legitimate question in a restaurant. Her curt and expeditious response—"Well, I don't know, madam, whatever you wish"—immediately made me feel uncomfortable. She persisted in the same urgent tone, making me feel like I was intruding, even ridiculed in front of my partner, who himself sensed my discomfort. I work in an ice cream parlor and have experience in the restaurant industry. Even with a limited selection, I believe it's normal to assist customers, answer their questions, and show a minimum of listening. In any professional context, this attitude would have been criticized as a clear lack of consideration. The rest of the staff seemed pleasant, but this first interaction was enough to ruin my entire experience. A warm welcome is an integral part of the meal, and here, it was sorely lacking. [added after the restaurant's response] Thank you for your response, but I'm surprised to see that instead of listening to what I'm saying, you're trying to shift the blame and minimize my feelings. Your rhetorical question—"Are you sure the disdain came from me?"—says it all: rather than acknowledge my discomfort, you're turning it into doubt. I wasn't rude; I simply asked for advice, which is perfectly legitimate in a restaurant. You answered "As you wish, madam," several times, without ever offering a single option. When I said "I'd rather have pasta," your tone remained insistent, without direction. This isn't service; it's evasion. As for the fact that you call me "Miss" here when it was "Madame" there, and that you refer to me as "my friend" instead of "my companion," these may be small details, but taken together, they reinforce the impression of a mocking tone and a certain contempt. And yet, I'm well aware of the context of the rush: I work in the restaurant business myself. I stand by my opinion, hoping it can help us rethink the quality of the welcome—because no, it wasn't a simple misunderstanding.

05/08/2026: These days, paying for a terrace on top of your coffee for a spot that's basically a parking lot seems pretty bad to me. A quick morning coffee turns into a 30-minute ordeal...

26/08/2026: The exterior is uninviting, but the dining room is decent and the staff attentive. The daily special is very well prepared and very good for a reasonable price.

23/08/2026: The feast was good… alas, two companions paid dearly for their banquet. The setting was rather unusual, the service a bit slow and very curt. Two pizzas were served: two fell ill, one of whom was bedridden the next day. On the other hand, a very good pasta dish and a superb steak tartare! Mondello will remain a one-off, with no return.

24/08/2026: Very good on the GR20. Good facilities but a somewhat neutral welcome. Pizza available 😉... at least during peak season. Arrive early as it gets very busy.

02/08/2026: A private gîte (hostel) on the GR20 (Capannelle stage). We received a warm welcome and were shown to our tent. We slept well despite the tent zipper being broken. The place is clean, both the dormitories and the showers (warm to hot water). There's a washhouse and a drinking fountain next to the reception area. The half-board option is good, but we preferred the pizzas (not very generously topped, but comforting). There's a spacious terrace where it's nice to meet up with other hikers from the day! Breakfast is standard (bread, butter, and jam). The grocery store is also very well-stocked. You can find plenty of food for less than the half-board option 😉. ⚠️ There's a small cabin with two fires, but no colanders!

13/09/2025: I had a wonderful time at this Italian restaurant! The welcome was warm and the service impeccable, with a smiling and attentive team. The dishes were simply delicious: perfectly cooked fresh pasta and flavorful pizzas. The portions are generous and the value for money is excellent. The atmosphere is friendly, ideal for a meal with friends or family. I highly recommend it and I will definitely be back! Thank you, Tony! 🇮🇹🍝🍕

15/06/2026: I don't think I've ever been so disappointed, practically insulted because "there's a football match on" and I needed to talk to the boss when "his hands are covered in flour." It's always easy to be rude to people on the phone! UNACCEPTABLE!!
