12/12/2025: We usually come to this restaurant, but tonight we were very disappointed. For our takeaway pizzas, there was a long wait. We ordered two different calzones, and there were no markings to distinguish them. On top of that, I've never seen so much water in a calzone or so much ham (strange). The sizes of the pizzas served in the restaurant and the takeaway pizzas are different; is that normal? We won't be back.

03/12/2025: Gargantua is a good restaurant in Guichen. The food is good, and the dishes are well-prepared and very tasty. The major problem with Gargantua is the service, which is very inconsistent. The wait can quickly become interminable, and the quality of the food doesn't compensate for the slow service.

10/09/2024: Locale gestito da italiani, tanti pianti italiani all'interno del menù. Abbiamo mangiato una buona pizza margherita, ho apprezzato soprattutto l'impasto, soffice e saporito. Anche la pasta non male, lo consiglio.

22/08/2024: Very good meal! In charming company. I opted for focaccia, this one is served with salad which makes it a hearty plate. We recommend this small, very well located restaurant.

03/09/2024: Don't go wrong with an Italian restaurant in the area which is full of tourist traps! Here, at “L’isolotto”, you have come to the right address! 🍽️ First of all, the cuisine is of high quality and worthy of a real restaurant! 🖼️ The places then, which offer a modern space downstairs with a bar and, above all, upstairs, a refined setting where you will enjoy coming with work colleagues or your loved one 🥰. It’s beautiful, cozy, and the prices are reasonable, what more could you ask for? The service was a bit below par, but the summer period can explain it with a young waitress disinterested in her job and a bit nonchalant. This was quickly forgotten with the digo offered by the boss 😉. 📍An address nestled in an authentic alley in the very center of Paris, St Michel district, and therefore without difficulty of access. The Seine is very close.

08/12/2024: Good morning, We were extremely disappointed by our visit to the "Station Cité" restaurant on November 15, 2024. First of all, we made a reservation directly at the restaurant around 7 p.m., and the employees assigned us a table for 8:30 p.m. Although surprised, we were nevertheless happy because the restaurant had been highly recommended to us. Arriving at 8:30 p.m., we had to wait around ten minutes before someone brought us a tablet with the menu, without any presentation. We were just left to fend for ourselves. Then, 10, 20, then 45 minutes passed, and finally, after an hour of waiting, they took our order, claiming that there were too many people. This prolonged wait has already made us cold, but being a family, we decided to stay calm. Finally, we were served after a wait of 1 hour 45 minutes: we arrived at 8:30 p.m. and were served at 10:15 p.m., which is simply UNACCEPTABLE. In addition, half of the dishes were cold, and the portions served were far from those shown in the photos on the menu but also that of the other people present in the store. This was not yet the end of our misadventures. As we finished our dishes, we were left unattended, while a waiter chatted with customers upstairs while arguing with his boss (a scene we would have preferred to avoid). After a long wait of about an hour we decided to leave, knowing no one came to see us, we didn't even have the opportunity to order desserts or coffee. (Some people had arrived well after us, around 10 p.m., and yet had desserts, unlike us). Finally, when paying, we noticed that a bottle of wine, displayed at €12.50 at the counter, was billed to us at €24.50, which created a total misunderstanding. So I decided to go back to the staff to ask the question, and there, the lack of respect was blatant. It seemed that, given my young age, the owner wanted to minimize me. This was the final straw, and an argument broke out, with no apology from the owner or the young waiter. But that's not all: when I took the ticket, I discovered that the owner had rounded the price upwards, which is A SHAME (photo in support). We are deeply disappointed with this experience and will definitely not return. Finally, I can only strongly recommend this establishment. Despite the length of my message (and thank you to those who read it to the end), there are inevitably details that I have forgotten... Like this remark from the boss who told us that we should not come on a Saturday evening if we wanted to be served more quickly. The problem, sir, is that we were there on a Friday evening.. And there are many other details that I forget...

15/10/2024: Very nice hearty plate with a delicious Italian wine I find the atmosphere a little too subdued for my taste But it was very good.

01/12/2025: A small, simple restaurant, no frills. Tasty food. Old-fashioned, very attentive waitstaff. I recommend it. I sometimes stay in a hotel nearby, and I've been to La Gondola several times. Never disappointed.

08/09/2024: Meals with friends, I absolutely didn't know. The staff is really pleasant, smiling and attentive. The environment really pretty and simple. The menu is small which indicates the freshness of the products, the quality is there. The dishes are well presented, everything is homemade, even the ketchup and mayonnaise. On the other hand, it is a meat restaurant, few vegetarian dishes (a burger or a risotto). The meat is succulent, dishes prepared to order so it's normal to wait and between us, it wasn't long. The only downside is parking on the road so sometimes you have to park quite far from the restaurant entrance.

03/09/2024: All our CONGRATULATIONS to the chef and his entire team because we had a pleasant time in terms of the setting (the terrace), the welcome, the service and the cuisine. The aperitifs are perfect, the cooking is 100% homemade and even the bread is homemade, and the meats are delicious. I'm starting this restaurant again with my eyes closed for the whole thing. A huge THANK YOU to everyone for this wonderful time spent in your establishment worthy of a star.

26/07/2024: A very nice discovery! No false note: limited choice guarantee of fresh products, very good cuisine, beautiful presentation, efficient and very friendly service. The terrace is very pleasant. Excellent value for money as there are unfortunately few in Lyon! Well done!
