24/08/2026: We had a fantastic time at this restaurant! The staff were simply amazing: kind, friendly, and very funny, making for a truly enjoyable experience. The food was absolutely delicious, a real treat. A nice, original touch: a little game played at the table where you can win vouchers or desserts. It's fun, though a bit of a shame you have to come back to take advantage of it 😉! The only slight downside was that they were out of salmon linguine that day. We'll definitely be back to try it!

17/08/2026: Excellent food, excellent service, very warm and welcoming. The chef even came to ask if my friends and I had enjoyed our meal. The Lillois pub is also beautifully decorated; everything was exquisite: the beer, the food, the desserts, and the little glass of genever at the end ;)

10/08/2026: We arrived at 8 pm. We ordered aperitifs. Then came the main course order, and what a surprise! After making three choices from the menu displayed on the terrace, there was nothing left... completely sold out... Only the famous chicken with Maroilles cheese or the carbonnade were left. So we decided to stop at just having our aperitifs, and the waiter advised us to go to another restaurant owned by the same person who would have what we had ordered. Wouldn't it have been simpler to cross the street to get the missing ingredients needed to prepare our dishes? There are so many restaurants that do their job properly, so there's no need to maintain tourist traps that will complain in November because there won't be any tourists left to rip off. The worst part was seeing the cook smoking a cigarette at 8 pm, the peak time for a properly run restaurant. In short, a poor example for the restaurant industry...

05/09/2026: I've been going to the Hazebrouck location for a while now, but this was my first time at the Eecke branch. The ham hock with mustard sauce was on the menu. I didn't regret my choice! It was delicious, as were the side dishes. And the portions were incredibly generous. Just like the other dishes! So much for the food. And since the welcome, the service, the smiles, and the attentiveness were also top-notch, you'll understand why I highly recommend it!

25/08/2026: We came last Saturday and had a wonderful time! Delicious Thai dishes; especially the "Tom Yam" soup, which was exceptional! The staff were friendly and attentive. Great atmosphere. We'll be back.

13/12/2025: A real surprise! While passing through to see the Lego exhibition, we stopped at this brasserie. I tasted my family's dishes, and we thoroughly enjoyed them. My husband had the marinated kebab: a real treat. My son had the Texan platter, with flavorful meat, and I had the homemade fish and chips with a very good homemade tartar sauce. Luckily, I didn't check the bill before eating because the 3.9/5 rating is undeserved. I'd say it deserves a 4.5/5. Just to clarify, we ate in the brasserie section, not the takeaway chip shop.

30/11/2025: We celebrated my grandson's 8th birthday with his brothers, aged 6 and 2. The children were warmly welcomed and looked after throughout the meal. The children's menus are generous and offer plenty of choices! And speaking of the adults... we enjoyed our meals, which were delicious, hearty, and beautifully presented. You can tell that all the staff want to make their customers happy. I highly recommend this restaurant, which may not look like much from the outside, but is very welcoming inside. Go check it out, you won't regret it! 💚

26/08/2026: A delightful rediscovery of this restaurant tonight. A most pleasant welcome, a cozy atmosphere, and a lovely, well-arranged terrace. The owners take the time to explain the menu and daily specials thoroughly. We felt very comfortable there, and the dishes and desserts were excellent and more than generous, all at a very reasonable price. A wonderful evening in this charming setting in the heart of Valenciennes.

13/09/2026: Honestly, the pizzas here go beyond the "pizza" dish and it is more a food adventure of some sort.

06/09/2026: The best pizzas in the city, without a doubt. We've been getting our pizzas exclusively from Al Fornello for two years now, and we've introduced it to all our friends and family, and everyone loves it. Always on time, always excellent quality, and the pizzas are always served piping hot. Thank you for existing! 😍
