23/03/2026: I had an exceptional experience here. 7 of us in total. Only one person can speak French. The food was great from the starter to dessert. I got bone marrow for the starter. It was fantastic. The fish dish (whole fish). was tender and well seasoned. Dessert was great. The chef and his mom all came out to chat with us in the end. We even got to meet their dogs!

22/02/2026: We had a wonderful evening in a beautifully appointed setting. The meal was delicious, divine. Generous portions yet exquisitely refined. The cooking was perfectly executed. We will gladly return.

11/03/2026: This restaurant was a pleasant surprise we stumbled upon after wandering around Old Lille looking for a place to eat. The highlight, in my opinion, was the cocktails. The bartender has an incredible knack for them, and it was definitely one of the best cocktails I've had in Lille. I'm not very familiar with Brazilian food, so I didn't know what to expect, but the dishes were quite good. The prices, of course, are higher than average for restaurants not located in Old Lille. The decor is very original and immerses you in the Brazilian atmosphere. The restaurant is also very quiet, making it easy to chat and have a conversation without being disturbed. It's worth noting, however, that the restaurant is relatively small to medium-sized, and it's best to book a table in advance. It's a restaurant I highly recommend.

15/12/2024: We couldn't wait to discover this much-vaunted place. We came for brunch. The plates are not very garnished unlike the photos I saw online... sweet plate with 1/2 teaspoon of granola, 1/2 teaspoon of cottage cheese or yogurt and a slice of chestnut cake and a very small portion of memory compote…. Cold savory plate too bad because the cold fried potatoes are not extraordinary but we nevertheless had a good time. So slight frustration but we will come back for a second attempt because it may have been an end of service or an “off” day….

15/12/2024: A perfect place for a winter brunch. The Christmas atmosphere and all these plants give the room a cozy atmosphere. The food was also excellent!

21/03/2026: I came for dinner one evening and left a tip for one of the waitresses. Unfortunately, thinking I'd forgotten my bag, I noticed the owner asking the waitress to put her tip in some sort of piggy bank. I hope the money was actually given to her! It's unacceptable. If this is still happening, I think a visit from the labor inspectorate is necessary.

15/02/2026: We had a lovely Valentine's Day evening; the welcome was warm and the food was exquisite. One small drawback: a lack of privacy, the tables were too close together.

21/02/2026: I don't know what to say... My girlfriend and I went there for Valentine's Day and we both had a fantastic time. Absolutely nothing was perfect. The welcome, the atmosphere, the service, the food, the preparation of the dishes, the wine... everything was perfect! It's a wonderful experience. Plus, they have a wine shop: I left with two bottles (a red and a white) that we loved. I sincerely recommend going. Thank you for a wonderful evening!

23/03/2026: A good pub under new ownership, certainly. The sharing platter was tasty and well-presented, with some nice changes, like the dry sausage. However, the main courses left much to be desired, from the size to the presentation, not to mention the fries, which were unflattering to Flanders (bland and lukewarm). Finally, being told several times that "no, it's not homemade, it comes from the factory" was a real drawback. For this reason, I will look for an independent pub next time I am in your welcoming region.

25/03/2026: A very typical and original tavern. The establishment is attached to an educational farm. Very large parking lot. A lovely menu and a chalkboard will help you make a choice... even for picky eaters. The prices are very reasonable. The two ladies who were serving on March 24th were friendly. Reservations are recommended, especially for weekends and sunny days. I'll be back! 😉👍

I didn't know that Thomas Pasquier, who studied at the aeronautical school in Merville, could have possibly become the local equivalent of Coin Coin. Courage, and best of luck to your son, with his professional expertise, worthy of a true pro, and above all, his warm and welcoming family manner.
