22/01/2026: This restaurant was absolutely terrible.
The foie gras was tasteless with traces of industrial packaging, the ribeye steak had an stale aftertaste, the andouillette sausage was cold, and the crème brûlée (it must have been sitting in the fridge for ages because it wasn't yesterday's date...)
We had a very bad experience.
The waiters were there but not really there, the restaurant had no soul...
Sad...
18/01/2026: The atmosphere was nonexistent, the waitress inexperienced, the owner rushing over with his device to retrieve QR codes, the foie gras starter was terrible (you could even see the packaging residue), the ribeye steak (with a €2 supplement) had an unpleasant aftertaste, my husband ordered an andouillette sausage which was awful and cold, and the crème brûlée for dessert was both visually and in terms of taste, most likely expired.
A bad experience; we won't be going back.

Solange and Audrey were very welcoming. In the kitchen the wait is a little long but the service with a smile helps you wait..

29/10/2025: A ridiculously small individual pizza for €11... More dough than anything else, soggy, like bread dough... you have to search for the ingredients...
The staff were unfriendly and disorganized.
For that price, just 500m away, Pizza du Blanc Four offers a decent pizza, crispy and generous, with fast and quality service. I won't be back.

02/07/2025: The atmosphere in this bar is very pleasant, as are the decor and the terrace.
The prices are relatively high (this is true almost everywhere in Lille, however), and the bar doesn't accept menu items below €6, so it's best to have some cash on you for smaller orders.
The waiters also get a little jaded at the end of the evening, although they remain courteous and efficient.
I would definitely return if the opportunity arose.

31/10/2025: I went to pick up a package at the Royal d'Ascq and was very disappointed with the service. The woman in charge was unpleasant and unprofessional, refusing to admit her mistake despite the facts. This attitude made the experience frustrating and uncomfortable, and does not reflect the level of service expected in this type of establishment. I do not recommend it!! Avoid it

In terms of quantity/price ratio, it's very light. 10 fries on my plate and a mini steak. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this restaurant despite a friendly atmosphere and very pleasant waitresses.

26/11/2025: Very disappointed. The veal stew was cold and had more sauce than meat—I'm still looking for it, and when I finally found it, I thought it was shredded chicken. It took 35 minutes to change a beer keg; that's a long time. Two hours for a weekday lunch is a long time; luckily, there were only six of us in the restaurant. The brasseries next door are far superior. I won't be going back. Avoid it.

11/11/2025: Drove from the UK to Belgium but stopped off in Dunkirk on the way.
Stopped at this place for a drink and a snack.
Lovely location on the promenade with a lovely view of the beach.
We were were a party of 8 and seated straight away.
Immediate service. We ordered coffees, soft drinks, ice cream and chips.
Service was quick and friendly.
Overall a very nice place to stop, have a drink and relax.
Would be lovely in the summer ☀️
29/09/2025: Been here twice already, the food is a good size with lots of flavour. It's a budget friendly place, you won't spend more than 20-25€ per person in food, drinks and desert. The staff is very friendly and the location is perfect next to the beach.
