05/09/2026: What a wonderful discovery! We had a fantastic time at Brasserie Vivat. From the appetizer to the dessert, everything was truly delicious: the bone marrow, the salmon, and then the two hanger steaks, cooked exactly as requested, accompanied by excellent sauces—with a special mention for the Maroilles sauce! The gourmet coffee to finish, the pleasant service, and even a little something extra to end on a high note… Everything was perfect for a wonderful evening. A place we'll definitely remember and return to. Well done to the whole team!

15/09/2026: I love Maison Meert and recommend it to our foreign friends, but this is the second time we've been treated very unpleasantly at the tea room. The first time was because we arrived 20 minutes before closing time; we hadn't paid attention to the time. I don't dispute the fact that we were refused service, but I do dispute the very unpleasant way it was done. And this Monday, September 14th, we were treated badly again. At teatime, there were no tables available! At least 10 tables were empty, supposedly reserved. We had to either wait 20 minutes or come back, but it would be the same and we wouldn't get a table! We chose to come back, and there was space, but I won't be going back. I don't understand how, with the prestige of this establishment, the staff can be so unpleasant and unprofessional. They could take a page from the bookstore staff, who are very professional and pleasant.

The welcome was also excellent, as was the dessert. A delightful place with wonderful flavors. I highly recommend it! ✨

12/07/2026: Hello. Second visit to Balsamic. We were disappointed. Minimalist menu. The servers, although friendly, seemed overwhelmed. No details about the dishes. We had a starter to share. It was okay (burrata) with the aperitif. However, the main course was disappointing: Minion steak and vegetables. The vegetables were waterlogged and covered in sauce. The water and sauce mixture didn't hold its shape on the plate. It wasn't appetizing. The Caesar salad was nothing like a Caesar salad: three baby gem lettuce leaves cut in half, one egg cut in half, and a few cherry tomatoes. €23 for the salad. A bit pricey for salad and an egg. They should really reconsider the name of this salad. This place also needs some tidying up. We were seated on the terrace next to an unkempt area. I think a trip to the dump is in order; the ambiance and appearance clearly warrant some attention. To finish, we had a double espresso. It tasted like a coffee infusion. Served in a tiny bowl. In short, we were disappointed with this meal.

16/08/2026: A busy weekday means quality, and there might be a wait, but that's not a problem if you're aware of it beforehand. The quality/price/quantity ratio is a perfect mix for a satisfying meal, and the salad and pizza combination guarantees a good meal.

18/06/2025: Friendly atmosphere and menu, the problem is that the waitress has no sense of humor and therefore skips the table for service. To tell you the truth, we had the dessert menu and waited for over 10 minutes without seeing anyone: we left to pay and go get coffee and dessert elsewhere.

02/10/2026: So… for this first experience at this new restaurant, which reopened two weeks ago, it was unfortunately a disappointment. While the decor is beautiful and the service friendly, albeit very slow, the dishes were completely tasteless. The beef tartare, which was practically blended, not even chopped or cut, was bland; the sauce for the sirloin steak was flavorless; and the amuse-bouche was worse than anything you'd find at Picard… We tried several starters and main courses, and to be honest, no one at the table had anything remarkable or even exceptional. In short, bland cuisine in a beautiful setting. The chef will have to radically change his cooking style to meet the challenge! But we're hopeful :)
