04/08/2026: Very tasty food for a good price. We had poutine here and it was delicious. The portions are quite large, especially the classic, which is a whopping 1200 grams. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is good too.

04/08/2026: A cozy, atmospheric little restaurant with very friendly service. There were five of us. Three of us had the classic Canadian poutine and two of us had the small Canadian poutine. The portions were very large, so brace yourself. It tasted delicious. We were pleasantly surprised. The lady who served us was a very sweet, cheerful person who did her best to speak English with us. In short, everything was great!

11/07/2026: A friendly spot in the heart of Roubaix that's definitely worth a visit. We appreciated the warm welcome from the waiter yesterday afternoon; my visually impaired wife thanks him for his kindness and helpfulness. The beers, a Kwak and a Kamerliet in 33cl bottles, were served chilled for €8.10, unlike in Lille where we usually pay €14.90 for the same quantity.

17/08/2026: First experience at Meert was a disaster! We were passing through Lille and wanted to buy some waffles at the wonderful Meert, a must-visit Lille institution. Imagine our surprise at the reception in the shop!! A disgrace for products of this quality and at this price! We were polite, but the saleswoman was extremely unpleasant and clearly doesn't understand that a smile is essential in retail. I hope you have a better experience than we did.

31/05/2026: Very pleasantly surprised. We were looking for a last-minute hotel in the afternoon. The very attractive price might have made us doubt the quality. The welcome was very professional and cheerful. The room and bathroom were very clean and functional. We expected to find very outdated facilities based on some reviews and photos, but that wasn't the case at all. 🙂 The bedding and linens were very satisfactory. The breakfast is more than adequate for 10 euros (basic sweet and savory buffet, fresh products, good quality coffee). You get a real "family-friendly" atmosphere if you take the time to chat with the staff.

26/06/2026: What a pleasure to have discovered this restaurant in Dechy! We had a wonderful time enjoying delicious and generous cuisine. Each dish was prepared with care, especially the smoked salmon with shrimp and a touch of Président butter—a classic that's always appreciated. The meat with its rich sauce, served with crispy fries, was a real treat for food lovers. We particularly appreciated the attention to detail in the presentation. Everything was perfect, from the main course to the glass of wine. A place to remember for those who enjoy convivial meals.

16/05/2026: Received a very friendly welcome and served quickly. We took the set menu and it was superb and not expensive: 31 euros for 3 courses. Half a liter of house wine for 8 euros. We saw others ordering a huge paella platter. Apparently, you can sometimes get pizza too. Highly recommended. It's a shame we don't live nearby; otherwise, we would be regulars.

26/07/2026: Last time I'll eat at this restaurant! I usually go there with my two children and my partner, but this time I also went with my little sister. She's 11 years old, and since I didn't have proof of age, I had to pay for an adult meal. Of course, I don't carry my parents' family record book around with me 🙄 The waitress wouldn't listen to anything I said—shameful, avoid at all costs!

The tables are well-spaced, creating a convivial atmosphere. The welcome is warm, with professional, attentive, and helpful staff. The timing between courses is excellent, allowing diners to fully appreciate each dish. The cuisine is generous, featuring fresh, seasonal ingredients. We thoroughly enjoyed everything. The portions are very generous and the dishes are exquisite. The wine list is excellent, with some lovely, carefully selected bottles that are sure to please.

17/08/2026: Extremely slow service: we waited almost an hour before being served. Furthermore, the meats we ordered were not cooked to our liking. When we told the waiter we had been waiting an hour for our food, his response was: "You should have told us you were in a hurry." We weren't asking for express service, just a reasonable wait and for our orders to be respected. An hour's wait without explanation, with incorrectly cooked food, is unacceptable.

06/08/2026: We just wanted to grab a quick coffee, but the owner first made a fuss because we weren't ordering food and removed the tablecloth. Then we ordered two cappuccinos for €12. The nastiest coffee I have ever had. Definitely not recommended!

Paired beautifully with a 3 Monts Beer de Garde Blonde it was a perfect way to end a Sunday night and they were very friendly and welcoming even though I did t speak French and they didn’t speak English. 😍😍😊 highly recommend. Great place. Great quality food.

27/01/2026: This was our first visit to this restaurant. At first glance, it doesn't look like much. We didn't find the concept of a "couscous bar," but rather service directly from the pot to the plate. We ordered takeout. The owner was very pleasant and chatted with us while we waited. Verdict: excellent couscous, generously served. We thoroughly enjoyed it! We will gladly return.
