17/05/2026: Very disappointed with the order I just placed. The children's menu with the nuggets and fries was barely cooked; we had to refry them. They forgot to add a merguez sausage to the pizza; there were three ham slices, and for the Mega pizzas, there were six chorizo sausages crammed onto the pizza and four potato pieces. For a €50 order, I'm very disappointed. It's a shame I can't post a photo to show my disappointment.

02/05/2026: The waiter judged us based on our food choices and how we cooked our meat. He didn't bring us what we ordered, and when we asked him to recook it, he brought us the same thing. I've never seen or experienced anything like it. There was absolutely no attempt at customer service, just blatant incompetence.
30/04/2026: I ordered a 3 Brasseurs flammekueche, which was good in itself, but a bit dry, and frankly, €2 for an extra salad is extremely expensive, especially considering how little salad there was in the bowl.
I was very disappointed, especially since I find it unreasonable to pay the same price for a bowl of salad and a bowl of fries.

It's far from fresh.
I ordered a steak tartare... I got a steak tartare instead.....
The service was very slow....not very pleasant...and a steak tartare instead of a steak tartare....
I'll go to the chip shop....if I have to go back.
Probably busy....given the location....but the food....yeah, yeah....
The chip shop doesn't look as good....
03/03/2026: Hello, my wife and I went there yesterday at lunchtime... a super friendly welcome, very welcoming and attentive staff, refined dishes, wine at the perfect temperature... truly fantastic, we will definitely return. The setting overlooking the racetrack is also superb... we'll be back soon...

07/04/2026: This small cafe next to the park serves a small menu of local and french national food.
The plat de hour was finished by 13:30 and was a reasonable 14.50e.
Service appeared slow at first as the two man team appeared very busy, however we ordered after 10 minutes (not slow) and the food arrived soon after (allowing for cooking time).
Service was friendly, helpful and involved lots of rushing around.

30/04/2026: I used to be a regular at my local Thai restaurant, often getting takeout.
Tonight, the unfriendly waiter didn't redeem the food, which is declining in quality.
€6 for a not-so-great coconut juice, and a soup with lots of tiny pieces of lemongrass that ruined it.
In short, I have no desire to go back. I'm going to look for a new Thai restaurant in Lille.

18/03/2026: Good location, pleasant place, but a major drawback is the cleanliness of the rooms... cobwebs, unwashed floor, towel rack near the toilet full of splashes, impossible to put your towel on...
17/03/2026: A bit shabby! For the price, you'd expect a higher standard! Plus, the reception is appalling when you arrive with a Wonderbox voucher. Everything is a bit worn and in poor condition. The restaurant is very average and expensive. In short, for a comparable price, you'd be better off staying in a hotel in Lille.

The sushi master takes care of your order right in front of you, using high-quality salmon, rice, and seaweed—you'll understand their commitment. Thank you for keeping this excellent Japanese restaurant alive in Douai for 20 years!

28/05/2026: I'm currently at this bar. I agree with some of the reviews: the service is lukewarm and the cocktails are poorly mixed. For €10 a cocktail, you're better off going to Quai des Bananes on Rue Royale ❤ at least you get your money's worth and the service is better ❤
24/05/2026: Very pleasant place, lovely view of Notre Dame de la Treille, but a major drawback: it took over 40 minutes for a server to finally take our order, and another 40 minutes for a grumpy server to slam our glasses down at our table (for two beers and two basic cocktails). In short, if you have time to waste having a drink (1 hour 20 minutes), this bar is for you 😉😁
