29/07/2024: I had a wonderful evening as usual at M.Jacques’s. Arthur our favorite bartender server was superb as usual. We will come back with pleasure!

13/07/2024: Monsieur Jacques is a real Lille institution. The service is great and the wines are good. I removed one star because we ordered a mixed board (price: 21 euros) which, in fact, arrived on a normal plate and not very well stocked with cheese and cold meats. There was a lot of salad in the middle. In short, I found it a bit outrageous to see such a small plate for 21 euros. This is for me a point to improve.

28/08/2024: Placing food on dough without a glove for me is a lack of hygiene dsl for the young man of color but wearing gloves is important

07/12/2023: Pas de choix lors du menu soirée étape avec l'hôtel, l'entrée, le plat et le dessert sont imposés et aucune alternative si on ne désire pas l'un des 3, du coup le 3 plats c'est transformer en 2 plats, le poisson n'était pas cuit donc pas mangé grand chose dans l'assiette et là, pareil, juste des excuses mais pas de testé commercial, même pas de proposition de refaire le plat. Et bien évidemment, tout ça pour le même prix . Très déçu. Je déconseille.

21/09/2024: Wine bar in old Lille with a good reputation. The wines are very good. The problem is more in terms of service, where, for the price offered, it was not necessarily up to par. No explanations offered on the wine we chose, for the place it’s still a shame. We are served without looking at our glasses and we repeat what the waitress at the next table says… We did not find it very professional.

17/09/2024: One of my must-see addresses in Lille and which I recommend with my eyes closed to anyone who wants to have a great time. An impressive selection of wines, delicious charcuterie/cheese or seafood platters and service that matches the setting!

09/05/2024: Swung by for lunch passing by Dunquerke. The atmosphere was very nice. The presentation of our dishes was quite austere but the quality and taste were there for sure! Service could improve too but overall a positive experience.

03/06/2024: Deplorable waitress. Gives me back a fake 1 euro coin (it's blatant), I go back to the cash register to report it and exchange it, she doesn't even apologize and dryly assures me that the coin is real. RESTAURANT TO AVOID!!!

06/10/2024: J’ai pris une terrine qui semble faite maison puis du saumon cuit à point avec bonne sauce , purée de céleri bonne et du riz. En dessert un fondant au chocolat excellent, fondant à cœur , pas trop sucré et de goût chocolat profond. Pour mes amis , la salade de gésiers était bien servie. Le plat de porc était moyen , en particulier les endives « braisées » étaient trop peu cuites ( et au four ??) et la tarte au sucre contient de la crème ? 😕 Excellent vin blanc fruité Cote de Gascogne. Bouteille d’eau locale de l’Avesnois très bonne
