11/08/2026: I used to come here regularly and really enjoy my food until recently; the fries were cut fresh and were delicious. Unfortunately, those days seem to be over. I went by on Tuesday evening, August 11th, and what a disappointment! I ordered an American-Mexicanos burger, and the result was CATASTROPHIC. There were very few fries, they were as hard as wood, and they seemed either to have been cooked multiple times or in excessively used oil. The bread was awful, like it had been defrosted and was falling apart, and the Mexican-style burger was way overcooked. I think there's been a recent change of ownership because going from a good chip shop to this disgrace in such a short time is almost magical.

19/07/2026: July 18, 2026 A wonderful evening, served by Nadine on the terrace. A very welcoming and smiling person, impeccable service... thank you to her! The meal was excellent and generous. The menu is well-stocked, with very reasonable prices. The lady who had forgotten her credit card PIN... from Beauvais.

12/07/2026: A typical Sunday... An hour's wait for takeout, and they tell us they're no longer taking orders! A disgrace for this usually well-known chip shop!

26/07/2026: The fries are very good, but unfortunately the sandwiches, and especially the bread, are not up to standard.

07/07/2026: The good old days of her lively life are sadly long behind her. She used to make fries in a dilapidated caravan, always smiling, but now she's bitter and unpleasant. Even her fries have gone sour and unpleasant. Avoid her at all costs.

04/04/2026: The service was a disaster; this place is not what it used to be. I was served a flatbread with three pieces of greasy chicken kebab and barely cooked frozen fries. Good luck to the next customer.

17/08/2026: We waited in line for 30 minutes only to be presented with a fait accompli: "We're out of mussels," without this being indicated on the screens. However, the family who went in after us ate mussels. The organization needs improvement. No points were credited because the limit had been reached (I suppose). Thanks to the cashier for not reminding me to use my points. We went to collect our food using the pager, but there was a hiccup in their organization. Apparently, we were only entitled to a rösti burger. We had to prove we weren't cheating by showing our receipt (luckily I'm not an environmentalist and I took it). Five minutes later, a woman who had bought a rösti burger was left out because there were no more rösti burgers. So, to recap: they continue to sell out-of-stock items and remove the in-stock items from sale. This organization was a complete mess on Monday, August 17th. Huge disappointment (exaggeratedly euphemistic)

17/08/2026: Every year I come for my birthday. Today was no exception and I wasn't really expecting the cold shower 💀 computer problems, stock problems, cooking problems, chocolate cake without chocolate... in short, crying in the toilets because of a birthday ruined by a change of manager, never again.

09/08/2026: There's a huge sign on the storefront: buy one pizza, get one free… but actually, the offer is no longer valid; they refuse to honor it. So, two pizzas are €18.90. One pizza is €11.80. I asked to speak to the manager, and they told me he's never there; he has 26 restaurants… great…

30/07/2026: We arrived today with a reservation for five people. Once there, we ordered drinks, and the very kind waitress came to take our food orders. Under the pretext of not having a cook available at lunchtime, they didn't offer any meat, and those eating halal couldn't order pasta with salmon or anything else. I find it quite serious that a restaurant in the center of a major city doesn't have a cook available at lunchtime.

22/07/2026: A few unfair reviews about the services on here which I think isn’t fair or accurate. Great service. Great food. Great price. Would recommend. Based on a very quiet street opposite the canal. Lots of seating outside. Older gentleman serving us was great

19/07/2026: Appalling service. We dealt with the owner who barely looked at us, rolled his eyes when we asked about how we wanted our meat cooked, forgot to bring half of our appetizers, and when we asked for them again after our main courses arrived, he had the nerve to reply: "You should have ordered them earlier!" The food is good and the portions are quite generous, but if this is the kind of service we're going to receive, no thank you.

17/07/2026: Arrived at 1:15 PM and there were no more hot meals available, supposedly because it's summer and you should arrive by noon... The server was only moderately pleasant, the dining area was dirty, and the bins were overflowing! It's only because there was nothing else around...

17/07/2026: From 7 PM onwards, it clearly states -50%, except it doesn't apply to all products and this isn't indicated anywhere. Even worse, if you ask for a pack of 4 croissants, that's not possible either, because I assume packs aren't included in the discount. This is simply unprofessional and unacceptable of you. Ciao

06/03/2026: A mixed experience. The food was good, although our gyros was very dry. The young woman who greeted us was rather casual and uninvolved. No smile, and the welcome was very cold. She was wearing a sweatshirt (I don't mean to sound old-fashioned, but appropriate attire would be preferable, especially in a restaurant), dirty glasses were sitting on the bar, and the coffee maker was in a deplorable state. I think she should take better care of it, especially since it's in direct view of customers. A response would have been the least she could do.

15/02/2026: This was our third visit to this restaurant, which we used to enjoy, and it will be our last... It was cold inside, and we were poorly seated, at one of the two tables blocked by the partition opposite the restrooms. I had to stop eating and get up so the customers at the next table could leave. Okay, there are worse things, but I've had better dining experiences. The waitress was unpleasant and unprofessional ("Have you ordered yet?", "Can I have more drinks?"), I felt like I was bothering her and dealing with a teenager. We wanted dessert, but her priority was clearly clearing empty tables rather than attending to the remaining customers. We left after a 25-minute wait and had dessert elsewhere.

02/06/2026: I booked a night for myself and a contractor for an evening out at a bar near the hotel. My contractor had a terrible night, attacked by bedbugs with two bites, one of which was in his eye. The management's response was, "It's certainly my contractor who brought them in with him..." Putting aside the inappropriate humor, I think this establishment should be avoided at all costs; it has absolutely no respect for its customers or for hygiene.

13/07/2026: A memorable experience… but not for the right reasons. First of all, it's always nice to see products on display that aren't even available in the store. A truly original concept: selling a dream. Then there are the prices… €4 for a simple orange juice? Thanks for this trip into luxury; I didn't realize I'd entered a palace. Let's talk about the queue: a 20-minute wait in a bakery in the morning is impressive. People often come before work, but clearly their schedules are less important than the store's organization. Only one person at the till during peak hours—they had some nerve. And the coffee… €1.90 for the equivalent of a sip. At that price, I thought I'd at least get to take the cup home as a souvenir. But no, just a tiny amount of coffee and a strong feeling of having been ripped off. In short, between missing products, outrageous prices and endless waiting, there are clearly some points to review.

07/07/2026: Very fast service, lovely location surrounded by trees. Had the mocha and apricot pastry which were both delicious, also gave me a little free pastry which was super lovely of them. Definitely recommend!

23/07/2026: Unfortunately closed! We went there several times in previous years and always had a good meal. What a shame.

11/07/2026: After a short stay in Bray-Dunes, it seems that the restaurant Les Coquillages is permanently closed. What a shame, we had many enjoyable times there.
