21/09/2026: We had a wonderful meal. The tuna and smoked trout were delicious. The tapas were excellent. The hake was very good, and the squid in ink was a real treat... The gourmet coffee and Basque cake were the perfect ending to this delightful meal... The owner is fantastic, and the servers are pleasant and efficient. A big thank you, we'll be back. I highly recommend it.

15/06/2026: A very pleasant stay. The staff were extremely attentive. The establishment was very clean. If I had to mention one small drawback, it would be the breakfast. It was a shame we had to make the pancakes and/or eggs ourselves. Otherwise, everything was perfect.

04/08/2026: Passing through Mourenx for the Terraventura theme park, we stopped at Crazy Canard and we're so glad we did. The dishes are homemade with fresh ingredients and the service is fantastic. I highly recommend it.

29/07/2026: We discovered this restaurant during a previous stay in Pau three years ago. We were happy to stop by again on a Saturday at lunchtime. Prices have increased considerably in three years, but so has everything else (thanks to inflation!). We had the set menu (starter/main/dessert) for €22. Individual dishes are around €20 (€19 for a homemade burger and fries). The children's menu is €12 and includes crispy chicken and fries, and a scoop of ice cream or panna cotta. The servers were pleasant, although the service seemed a little slow. However, the quality of the food is still excellent; the dishes are delicious and beautifully presented. We had a lovely time.

10/07/2026: One of only 2 vegan restaurants in Pau. Nice relaxing atmosphere. The starter was interesting raw veg, hummus and strawberries. The tabbule main had quinoa,peaches and tiny little cubes of tofu. Really tasty. Had a walnut cake for dessert. Beautiful. Highly recommended if you don't like eating where dead animals are served.

04/07/2026: I don't come often... But whenever I can choose a restaurant, it's Grignote! We love its discreet location, the lovely natural decor, and Eva's friendly and discreet service. The dishes are as much a feast for the eyes as for the palate, and the unique monthly menu is always a hit! I'm a big fan of the "open-faced sandwiches of the moment" in every season, and I'm never disappointed, always delighted! And you can go for the desserts without hesitation; they're all to die for! So yes, it won't suit every palate... Forget superficial flavors and excessive sugar. Here, it's about rediscovering more natural food, without unnecessary flavor enhancers, and vegan to boot. It's not easy to achieve, and yet, Grignote does it brilliantly with seasonal ingredients! So, for those who enjoy culinary innovation, simplicity, and a warm, Nordic atmosphere, I highly recommend it! In any case, we'll be back, and more than once!

22/07/2026: Truly a hidden gem in Pontacq, discovered quite by chance, and sometimes things work out for the best! A very warm and friendly welcome, a beautiful setting with a wine cellar atmosphere, impeccable and very friendly service, and a surprising menu featuring fresh, seasonal produce, expertly prepared by a chef who loves what he does and comes to check on the results at your table! Add to that an immense passion for wine, with an exceptional wine list, and you're guaranteed a truly delightful experience that your taste buds will remember... 11/08/2026: We ordered two takeaway pizzas, ocean and four cheese, both very good and generously sized. The contact on the phone was very friendly and pleasant. Preparation was quick, despite a high volume of orders. The service at checkout was just as friendly as on the phone, with good advice on local bottled beers (also very good). Highly recommended!

10/08/2026: This candy shop is beautifully organized and has various candies and chocolates, which you can select from in bulk, or from pre-packaged items and mixes. My favorites were the candied rose petals, and the almonds covered with chocolate and cherry marzipan (I think), and the hard candy mixed bag. The person helping us was kind, patient and able to explain items to us in english (as well as how they have been coping through the heat waves). A lovely visit for a taste of unique French sweets. This was a great place to get some gifts for friends at home, too!

24/08/2026: Discovered during a visit to the region. We booked to celebrate our 15th anniversary on August 16th. A cozy atmosphere, discreet service, and a very tasty meal. We had a lovely time and will definitely be back. Thank you again! Dylan and Ludivine

The quality of the ingredients was impeccable, and the presentation was truly exquisite. I particularly appreciated the attention to detail on the plate, especially the pomegranate seeds, which added a touch of freshness and a beautiful splash of color to the dessert. We loved the ambiance and the refined flavors. It's an excellent place to treat yourself. We will definitely be back.
