10/03/2026: We had a meal there for Valentine's Day. There was a set menu for the occasion, but we did have two choices for each starter, main course, and dessert. We were warmly welcomed by the owner, the food was excellent, the presentation lovely, the decor pleasant, the atmosphere cozy, and they even offered us a complimentary digestif. We had a wonderful time, as always... excellent value for money, the prices are very reasonable. A little tip: book in advance, it's always full.

21/02/2026: A regular, though not a regular, I used to stop at this restaurant. Working at the Pau courthouse, I couldn't make a reservation; I knew when I'd be going in, but I never knew when I'd be leaving. Today, or rather yesterday, I stopped in. The very courteous old gentleman told me that the kitchen had told him not to take any more customers. I nodded and was about to leave when I heard an elderly woman, who must have been the owner, say to me from a distance, "Anyway, you have to make a reservation," in an aggressive, fishmonger-like tone. I can't stand gratuitous and idiotic rudeness, or even smugness, but what I can't stand most of all is stupidity. Politeness isn't something you learn at her age. I probably won't be going back. I'd already noticed her lack of friendliness, but this time she crossed the line. After a certain age, especially in the restaurant business, you pass the torch. It's a shame because the other waitress in the back room was very pleasant and polite. One grain of sand that thinks it can do anything and the machine seizes up, and you don't know when the engine will give out.

28/02/2026: Absolutely fantastic! The meal is homemade from start to finish. I had trout with risotto and my partner had beef. Everything was delicious. The prices are more than reasonable and the welcome is very warm and friendly! I think we'll be back at least once this week. (Special mention for the crème brûlée and the chocolate fondant!)

13/03/2026: As always when we go to Walter's for ice cream, crepes, or waffles, the attention to detail in the crepe presentation and the service from everyone is unparalleled; the staff are incredibly friendly. The texture, creaminess, freshness, and flavor of the ice cream are excellent, no question about it. My only complaint is that in the summer it's so crowded that we have to wait in line... a minor inconvenience and not the ice cream shop's fault; there must be a reason it's so popular.
