28/05/2026: It's always a pleasure to stop there during a motorcycle ride. I hadn't booked and the restaurant was full, but they kindly offered me a nice plate of charcuterie which I was able to enjoy in the garden and leave satisfied!

There are themed evenings every month with fantastic hosts and delicious homemade food. There's also a huge selection of games for a relaxing afternoon at Le Menteur ☺️ In short, a good time is guaranteed at any hour!

23/06/2026: Le Menteur in Bayonne is a real gem. The place is simply incredible, with a unique atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease. The prices are very reasonable, almost a steal for the quality offered. The food is delicious, and the drinks are incredibly creative—a special mention for the ginger beer, probably the best I've ever tasted. I've played several games of Werewolf there, and the atmosphere is always fantastic: immersive, fun, and incredibly well-run. The game master is truly excellent and knows exactly how to create the right energy. And a major highlight: Mélissa, who runs everything with talent and good humor. You can feel the real passion behind the project. In short, a place you want to come back to again and again.

08/07/2026: We went without a reservation and were warmly welcomed and given a good table by the water. However, I think we were lucky because the restaurant is very popular. And for good reason: everything was delicious, and the entire menu looked tempting. The dishes are excellent, and the wood-fired pizzas are too! You can also try some local specialties. The decor of the dining room and restrooms is very typical of the region.

08/06/2026: While exploring the village, I stumbled upon this café, and what a find! Here, you don't need an enchanted pickaxe to find quality. The employee is incredibly friendly, always ready to share her tips for finding the perfect coffee for you. You can relax and enjoy an excellent cup of coffee, savor a slice of cake, and replenish your health. Bonus: you can buy coffee to continue the adventure at home. I highly recommend this place to all travelers, whether they come from the Overworld or elsewhere!

26/04/2026: We couldn't even get in for a drink because of the bouncer's attitude. He was arrogant and unpleasant; did the guy think he was a bouncer in Saint-Tropez? And the best part is, he's not even from the area… for a bar frequented only by locals, it's quite funny… I only advise against going there because of the bouncer's attitude.

10/07/2026: One of only 2 vegan restaurants in Pau. Nice relaxing atmosphere. The starter was interesting raw veg, hummus and strawberries. The tabbule main had quinoa,peaches and tiny little cubes of tofu. Really tasty. Had a walnut cake for dessert. Beautiful. Highly recommended if you don't like eating where dead animals are served.

04/07/2026: I don't come often... But whenever I can choose a restaurant, it's Grignote! We love its discreet location, the lovely natural decor, and Eva's friendly and discreet service. The dishes are as much a feast for the eyes as for the palate, and the unique monthly menu is always a hit! I'm a big fan of the "open-faced sandwiches of the moment" in every season, and I'm never disappointed, always delighted! And you can go for the desserts without hesitation; they're all to die for! So yes, it won't suit every palate... Forget superficial flavors and excessive sugar. Here, it's about rediscovering more natural food, without unnecessary flavor enhancers, and vegan to boot. It's not easy to achieve, and yet, Grignote does it brilliantly with seasonal ingredients! So, for those who enjoy culinary innovation, simplicity, and a warm, Nordic atmosphere, I highly recommend it! In any case, we'll be back, and more than once!

20/05/2026: A very good experience. I've known them for years and they're always an excellent choice. In addition to the à la carte menu, they have a set menu that's very convenient and the quality is superb.

20/04/2026: I love having lunch at this organic and local restaurant right next to the Melies cinema! It's original, delicious, and cooked fresh... and for film buffs, at lunchtime you can add a Melies cinema ticket for €4 to the daily menu. Fantastic!
