03/09/2026: Completely rude. Yes, they are busy as the good is very good but that does not excuse rudeness. I was trying to stay out of the busyness and quickly took the menu while thanking the waiter. He snatched it from my hand and then put it back while telling me to calm down. Maybe a bit of a misunderstanding if my quickness was mistaken for impatience but why was he telling me to calm down when he obviously was not. You don’t get to act like this when you are in the business of customer service.

26/08/2026: A very good restaurant with very tasty and quite original dishes. The presentation was impeccable. However, I regret the lack of attention paid to my comfort. In a nearly empty restaurant, while I was alone along the main wall, they surrounded me with two families with children, concentrating three of the four occupied tables in the same area. While the restaurant isn't responsible for the lack of manners of the children seated around me, a more balanced distribution of seating throughout the space would have been appreciated. This is also something one looks for in a Michelin-recommended restaurant.

23/08/2026: The set menu was €49, the dining room was warm, and the decor was nice. The tuna was stringy with a lot of white meat, and the tomato wasn't ripe, which was a shame. The green herbs on two of my dishes left an earthy taste in my mouth. (Watercress? Maybe.) The sole and the desserts were perfect, and the service was really good and quick.

15/09/2026: Oh dear... unable to properly serve a simple hamburger and fries... the waitress, unwavering, said, "No need to make a fuss, we'll just reheat it"... when it came back from the kitchen, there were black bits of fried food... when we went to pay the bill, we mentioned the inconvenience of not being able to eat together because my dish had been sent back to the kitchen... the response: "It's not a big deal"... what shameful nonchalance from the entire staff of this establishment...

02/07/2026: A memorable stop at Briketenia, a one-Michelin-star restaurant in the beautiful Basque village of Guéthary, France. Once again, I was pleasantly surprised by how accommodating they were. Even though I called only that morning, they happily prepared a vegan tasting menu and found me a table for the afternoon. This was also my first experience at a Michelin-starred restaurant where the service was noticeably slower than expected. It was clear they were dealing with a staff shortage, which extended the dinner by about an hour. These things happen - even at the best restaurants - and the team sincerely apologised at the end of the meal. The cuisine focuses on local, seasonal ingredients, and during my visit it was asparagus and fresh pea season. Both featured prominently throughout the menu, showcasing just how incredible simple, fresh produce can be when treated with care and creativity. The seven-course tasting menu was €134 per person.

13/06/2026: A fantastic spot, facing the Three Crowns and La Rhune mountain. Excellent service and delicious dishes that will tantalize your taste buds. The Basque Country on your plate in a dreamlike setting. So go for it.
