01/07/2026: Simple and traditional meal. The fish was excellent, and the axoa was too. Thank you very much. The service was great 😊 It was just very, very hot. No air conditioning or ventilation. As a result, the meal was less enjoyable.

27/06/2026: Outstanding merlu, wonderful tapas and terrific ice cream, but also great selection of local wines and excellent and very friendly service. Can get a bit warm on a hot day, but don't miss this amazing place!

14/07/2026: A lovely mother-daughter meal that started off well until dessert time when a very, very long blonde hair landed right in the middle of my ice cream 🤮 No reaction from management, nor any gesture of goodwill on the bill. I'm really very disappointed with this first visit, which will be my last.

12/07/2026: While on holiday in Oloron, we had dinner with the famous owners of Onigourmand, Marie-Jo and Domi (see my post about their restaurant). The welcome at Le Loft was fantastic and the meal was very well prepared. Everything is homemade and it shows (for example, the steak tartare). The terrace is lovely, right above the Gave d'Aspe river. A great place.

07/03/2026: Excellent, superb, sophisticated cuisine. Working nearby, I stop by from time to time to buy wine and have always received great advice. But what a truly delightful experience it is to come and enjoy a menu where the food is simply delicious and to receive such wonderful guidance on the wine pairing. Hats off! 👌

17/05/2026: After the Euskal Trail, I needed to EAT, and this place perfectly satisfied that need. We had a wait of about 30 minutes, which is very reasonable for a group of 9 people who hadn't made a reservation. I recommend the XXL burger and the chocolate fondant, which are delicious! 🍔🍫 As for the staff, we were greeted by a VERY FRIENDLY waiter, while our server and the cashier were EXTREMELY rude. Furthermore, the place is very well located, with a very cute atmosphere. 🌄 In conclusion, I recommend it! ✅

12/06/2026: Welcome to Morocco! The restaurant is a little removed from the hustle and bustle of the city. Music, colors, scents, decor, furniture—you're immediately transported to another world. The meals are served quickly and are generous. The couscous and vegetables are melt-in-your-mouth tender. Truly excellent!

04/07/2026: The welcome was quite pleasant, the place was very nicely decorated, and the open-faced sandwiches were delicious. I had a lovely, relaxing time. Constructive criticisms: the granola bowl could have been spicier, in my opinion. And the elderflower black tea could have been diluted a bit more; it was a little too strong. 23/06/2026: Excellent place! The atmosphere is lovely, the staff are very attentive, and the pizzas are truly delicious. My partner ordered a Bolognese pizza, and honestly, I've never had one so good. A truly authentic homemade Bolognese that's well worth the trip!

17/05/2026: The place is friendly and charming, and the welcome is exceptionally warm. It's a typical, authentic house with a large dining room and antique decor, featuring stone floors typical of the region. The food is absolutely delicious, with wonderful culinary discoveries. The €47 set menu is particularly delightful. The à la carte menu also offers some excellent options. Remember to book ahead, and we'll definitely be back.

16/05/2026: What can I say about this restaurant in the setting of a traditional country inn, which I believe deserves to be better known and should not be missed under any circumstances if you are in the area? First, the welcome: reservation 15 minutes in advance. Then, the thoughtful touches: for the ladies, a handbag with a small step stool provided; coloring books for the little nieces; a waitress with a Spanish accent who transports you just by speaking to you; a waiter who is attentive to your requests; and an approachable chef who comes out of the kitchen to chat with the customers. And then, what can I say about the cuisine, which is highly refined and meticulously crafted from the amuse-bouche to the dessert? In short, a truly wonderful culinary experience. A thousand thanks! If you’re looking for a good, reliable, reasonably priced, family-friendly restaurant in Biarritz, this is one of our top recommendations. The pizza is consistently delicious and offers great value for families. Our children love the bunny-shaped kids’ cheese pizza and the spaghetti bolognese. 31/05/2026: It's like traveling back in time, from the moment you see the building, to when you enter and immerse yourself in a world of chocolate, handcrafted, rich, fine and exquisite.

21/05/2026: A long-established chocolate shop in Bayonne. I had hot chocolate at the café on the second floor. They poured the chocolate from a magnificent pot, and refills were available. The opulent interior, the music playing from what seemed like an antique radio—it was like stepping back in time.

18/06/2026: Fantastic meal. I rediscovered the taste of my grandfather Henri's garbure, who passed away 20 years ago. The same taste, what a joy! It was also wonderful to still find, in 2026, a daily special for €16.50 including: Garbure Charcuterie Dish of the day (it was fish with sauce and eggplant gratin) Homemade dessert: a fabulous homemade Basque cake with cream The owners were incredibly welcoming, and the service was quick, friendly, and efficient. I loved it! I'll be back, thank you!
