19/06/2026: Great neighborhood restaurant, friendly service, inexpensive, very good, and generous portions. The appetizer buffet is excellent, especially the potato and herring salad and the pig's trotter. The grilled fish is superb.

09/01/2026: The cold buffet starter was excellent. And the lunch dish was superbly prepared with homemade fries and a delicious pear and chocolate tart.

03/04/2026: I was quite cautious when booking the refuge because various reviews had been mixed. But it turns out the owner has changed, and the quality and hospitality are back! We had absolutely no complaints, quite the opposite! Just one thing to keep in mind: it's not a typical "CAF" (French Alpine Club) refuge, but rather a hostel-style refuge. So you pay more, but the quality is also superior (showers, pool table, rooms, etc.).

29/03/2026: We stayed at the Refuge du Roc with a group of 12 plus 2 guides for a star-shaped ski touring trip. The refuge was a perfect base camp! The climb from Pralognan is a good warm-up but quite accessible to all levels of skiers. The refuge is perfectly equipped, notably with a games room (pool table, darts, video projector), a sauna, and a Nordic bath, which make après-ski very enjoyable! The cook was super friendly, the service impeccable, and the meals delicious.

18/07/2026: We discovered this brasserie while looking for a suit for my husband. The food is home-style, hearty, and simply excellent, all at an affordable price. The owners and waitresses are welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Note: the kitchen is upstairs, so serving on the terrace is quite a workout, and all this is done with remarkable composure. Well done!

The welcome was very attentive and friendly, and the continental breakfast was very generous… nothing to complain about except for the less-than-perfect soundproofing (from the floors above), but when it comes to noise, it's all a matter of consideration.

10/07/2026: Overall, everyone is very welcoming, but I still had the unpleasant surprise of receiving 1) the wrong glass (and paying more than expected) 2) a cocktail with a base of flat Badoit mineral water (instead of tonic water) 3) being charged twice at €2 more than what was listed on the menu (and I had to fight to get my money back). It's a shame, the pizzas are very good.

The dessert crepe was a caramel and salted butter crepe. Absolutely delicious 😋. The service was quick and the staff were incredibly friendly. I'm so lucky to have found such an authentic place!!

28/05/2026: Everything was perfect, I was really very satisfied, especially for a customer who's quite particular about traditional cuisine (I eat it all my life 🤣). The day before, we had gone to the Jasmin restaurant but were very, very disappointed. We hesitated before going to another traditional restaurant but ended up at "La Baraka" and frankly, it was a completely different experience. A very warm welcome, excellent customer service, and top-notch quality dishes. I highly recommend it and I will definitely be back!

05/08/2026: We went to Pierre's… and his good friend James's (you'll find out who James is when you go!). Much more than a restaurant, Chez Pierre is a true home away from home. We enjoyed generous and authentic home-style cooking, prepared with excellent, perfectly cooked ingredients. But what makes this place truly unique is the welcome. We felt right at home, in a genuine place that embodies the true values ​​of cooking: the pleasure of sharing a good meal, taking the time to relax and chat around a table with a genuine person, passionate about what they do and who shares that passion with each of their guests. For us, it's undoubtedly the best culinary experience in the Èze area. We highly recommend everyone spend an evening at Chez Pierre in the countryside.
