23/11/2024: Hamburger et bavette au top ! Une viande d'excellente qualité et idem pour la sauce au poivre et le gouda ! Le pain du hamburger et le pain en accompagnement sont de très bonnes qualités. Très beau décor en bois massif avec saoon de Noël bien décoré ! Serveur sympathique avec les enfants.Dessert île flottante au top également. Seul bémol, le temps d'attente un samedi 14h pour avoir de la place et les frites qui pourraient être faites maison plutôt que industrielle mais l'ensemble est d'un haut niveau, nous reviendrons !

02/11/2024: Les plats sont arrivés 7mn avant la garniture. Pour la garniture, une portion de frites et portion de salade pour 4. Nous avons dû redemander à 3 reprises pour que la garniture arrive enfin 1/2 après. Bref, peut être un incident isolé mais je ne recommande pas ce restaurant un samedi au déjeuner.

15/12/2024: First of all, I have been to this restaurant several times. However, today's problem: the mojito was a complete failure, I asked to see the bosses and neither father nor son were present. As soon as they understood that I knew the big boss who took care of us. Another thing was that the waiters were not dressed properly for such a restaurant, which was not the case before. Knowing all the same that the aperitifs were offered. I hope this comment will be taken into account by management. In order to no longer have negative comments

03/12/2025: The IPA on draught was dirt. Also, the racist Irish "jokes" on the walls were fairly shocking. Honestly, the only Irish thing about this place was my wife and myself when we were there. We left after one drink. Response to the pub: Not a Galway man, but Irish. So that's good of you to go stalking through my account. Also, I never said the pub itself was racist, merely it's attempt at humor. If those remarks were written by "Irish" people, then they are the exact sort of "Irish" the majority of us try to avoid... When are these jokes from, the 1940s?!? Anyone with half a brain could see the serious lack of humor in them.

03/12/2025: I was craving a Guinness and I found one. Made my day. Good service. Great atmosphere. Dan was a great bartender.

13/10/2024: Le cadre de la salle à manger est superbe. La carte est décevante avec un seul menu à 6 plats.Nous n’en prenons que 3.Le foie gras poêlé est bon, mais à chaque plat, il y a un surplus d’ingrédients qui n’apportent rien et au contraire masque l’arôme de l’aliment principal. Le vin « Château de Mercues » est excellent.

14/09/2024: Il y a quelques jours, nous avons vécu une expérience gustative exceptionnelle dans un décor non moins exceptionnel. En effet nous avions réservé la Table du Chef, cette expérience proposée par le Château de Mercues est une immersion dans la cuisine de la brigade du restaurant menée par le nouveau chef qui a mis en place sa carte depuis le 1er septembre. Quelles émotions !!! Malheureusement, nous ne connaissons pas le nom du nouvel artiste culinaire de cet établissement, et c’est bien dommage car nul doute qu’il mérite une excellente renommée. Sa cuisine créative utilise des produits locaux dans une approche différente de ce que l’on a l’habitude de déguster. La fraîcheur, la légèreté et l’équilibre des saveurs vous transportent totalement. Bravo à toute la brigade, dont nous avons pu constater l’implication mais aussi merci à tout le personnel du service, du Maître d’hôtel, de la Sommelière et des serveuses. Tous de grands professionnels, dans un esprit très convivial.

10/12/2024: Perfect organization of an aperitif for around thirty people, after a funeral ceremony. Good value for money. Provision of the bar much appreciated by all. Sufficient quantities. Very welcoming staff. Recommended!

07/07/2025: This was my first experience at this restaurant. The mussels were very good and consistent. The fries were good. The crème brûlée, on the other hand, resembled a flan. Friendly staff.

13/12/2024: Small Inn as we like them! Delicious and hearty meal over two days! Kind owner and top waiter, nothing to say! Responsive, friendly and does everything to satisfy customers! Super good value for money. I ate there for two lunches during two days of on-site training and I recommend it without hesitation!

23/11/2025: I sat down quietly at a café. I received a very warm welcome from a lovely and attentive woman. I enjoyed this relaxing moment and would gladly try a meal next time.

30/06/2025: We ate lunch here on a six day cycle tour of Cherbourg peninsula. Best lunch spot of the trip. Great, limited menu covering all the bases. Home cooked food with a real rural French feel. We would DEFINITELY include this stop if we pass again. Either for lunch, dinner or an overnight stop. We did not see the rooms. Suspect charming and clean if anything like the restaurant. ☺️

21/06/2025: Great family hotel 100m from the abbey. Excellent welcome, very clean room, very good restaurant for a moderate price. The owner is very attentive to ensure a very pleasant stay. Highly recommended.

26/08/2024: Our dishes were excellent, and the desserts too. Fast, impeccable service. The setting of the restaurant and the decor are superb.

24/08/2024: Their signature pork chop is immaculate. Mixed together with some Domaine San Micheli - Corse Sartene Rouge… can’t go wrong. Pork chop is prepared medium to well done with a bit of juice. Don’t forget to get their recommended desert.

07/12/2024: Friendly service and good food. I paid the bill, then the waiter told me that he forgot to charge the coffees and asked me to make another credit card for €20. A colleague went to lunch the next day and the same thing, he had to pay €20 extra because the waiter had forgotten the coffees. On my bank statement the wording of the meal bill and the wording of the coffee bill is not the same. Quite unpleasant feeling of having been obliged under a false pretext to leave a tip of €20.... Waiting for the response from the manager of the establishment.

13/12/2024: A great lunch. I really enjoyed the food and the service. The manager takes the time to chat with each of her customers and that is very appreciated.
