05/08/2026: We are regulars at this café. Every time we're in Lyon, we're always delighted to come here for breakfast, and until now we'd never been disappointed. Unfortunately, this time, the experience was quite different. As indicated online and on the café's window, opening time is 8:00 a.m. So we arrived at that time. Two young women were there: one barely glanced at us before walking past, without any real welcome. We were then told that the café wouldn't actually open until 9:30 a.m. because "nothing was ready," even though the terrace was set up, the doors were wide open, and everything suggested that the establishment was open. It's a real shame, because we had such a great impression of this place. For our last visit to Lyon before leaving, we unfortunately left with a big disappointment. We hope that the posted opening hours will be updated and that the reception will regain the quality that made us want to return on each visit…

03/08/2026: Very disappointed. We simply asked to replace the scrambled eggs with an omelet for our two two-and-a-half-year-old daughters. The waitress went to ask the chef, who was smoking right in front of us. Without even coming to see us, he curtly replied, "No." I asked the waitress if it was really impossible, specifying that they were two two-and-a-half-year-olds. The answer: "No." It was a Monday at 9:45 a.m., and the restaurant was empty. It wasn't a complicated request, nor was it a busy time. This complete lack of flexibility and customer service is hard to understand. Such a curt response to such a simple request, especially concerning young children, is frankly disappointing.

08/08/2026: If you enjoy waiting over an hour for your food only to have it thrown at you on the counter as you're leaving, with threats if you refuse to pay, I highly recommend La Palmeraie (that's sarcasm). Appalling service and mediocre food served in small portions for an exorbitant price. Almost €30 for a Poké Ball with practically nothing in it. My advice: avoid this place!

14/04/2026: The kebabs are decent, sometimes even good (especially the kebab and maxi kebab sandwiches), but ask for them well-cooked, grilled, or otherwise—it all depends...it's a gamble. Most of the time, the bread is soaked in grease, and the meat is cooked to the kebab maker's liking. In short, it's worth the price...not great at all, too unpredictable. (8/10: not great, undercooked, or burnt...when they actually deliver the right order...) I won't be ordering again...a shame...sometimes they're really good.

20/02/2026: A great place with affordable prices, I highly recommend it. And the staff are top-notch, 10/10.

22/05/2026: Upon arrival, the bathroom hadn't been cleaned... Immediate room change! No discount, not even a gesture of goodwill, no complimentary drinks or aperitif! We ordered at the bar, waited patiently because no one was there, and even had to clear our own table while they found a waitress... Furthermore, we had booked two rooms but only one was upgraded, which was nice, but not mine. Two upgrades would have been better than none at all...

19/04/2026: Visited hotel with a tourist group from Slovenia and we were satisfied with everything - rooms are big, modern, clean and cosy, breakfast is very diverse (...it would be nice if they had more of fresh vegetables) and good (loved the bread and cheese selection), parking space was enough for 55 seater. I highly recommend.

02/08/2026: We were very disappointed with our visit to the Red Garter Saloon. We were guests at the Disney Hotel Cheyenne and expected a much higher level of service. At 4:45 PM, even though the bar was open, it was impossible to order a cocktail, alcoholic or non-alcoholic. Only beers were available... well, not all of them, since the bartender told us he didn't know how to change a keg. This is quite surprising for a hotel bar. I also asked for a carafe of water while eating in. It was refused, with the only explanation being that I would have to buy a bottle of water. However, refusing to serve free drinking water to customers eating in is against French regulations. Finally, I asked for a beer with a slice of lemon for flavoring. The response: they simply didn't have any lemons. Between the lack of cocktails in the middle of the afternoon, unavailable beers due to a keg replacement, the refusal to serve tap water, and the absence of even a simple lemon, the experience was very disappointing. For a Disney hotel, one has the right to expect much more professional service.

26/07/2026: The setting is nice in the summer with the terrace, and it's quiet during the day. However, as soon as we entered the bar (counter service), we could tell the cast members were annoyed that we were there. They gave us dirty looks and smirked amongst themselves. Once we ordered at the counter, we waited ages because neither of the cast members thought it necessary to let us know our drinks were ready (we were chatting amongst ourselves near the counter without constantly checking on the preparation). Once we got our drinks, the employees were very uncomfortable and clearly judging us, raising their eyebrows and looking at each other. A very poor experience in terms of service; it was hard to know if we were actually at Disney.

15/08/2026: The restaurant is well located with both an outdoor and indoor seating area (which is lovely!). The staff was very pleasant and the food arrived in a reasonable time.

14/08/2026: Completely overcooked and inedible salads, duck that was duck in name only. A children's menu of ham and fries that was unheard of. Over a 45-minute wait even though the restaurant was practically empty at lunchtime. Avoid at all costs

17/07/2026: The welcome was "Portuguese style," meaning generous and warm. The staff were incredibly kind, the dishes were plentiful and fresh, the tableware and facilities were spotless, and the restrooms were immaculate, plus the price was incredibly competitive. I fell in love with this restaurant. I honestly think that €15 including tax for a starter, main course, dessert, and wine hasn't existed since 1987 😂. Thank you to this team who make me want to visit Portugal. Obrigada!

13/08/2026: Incredible! When asked if he makes trellises, he gets offended and angry, telling me he's not a pastry chef, he's useless.

06/08/2026: Where to begin... The advertised meat was cooked over a wood fire, which was the reason we came to this restaurant. After ordering, I saw the wood-fired oven was off, so I mentioned it to the owner, who told me he hadn't lit it... The least they could do is inform their customers upon arrival. Then there's the hygiene, which is deplorable, from the toilets to the dining area. It's a real dump. Very disappointed. Never again!

11/08/2026: I can't comment on the service and atmosphere since I ordered delivery. The delivery driver was very pleasant and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The prices are very reasonable. I recommend it.

12/07/2026: I do not recommend this restaurant. Today, July 12, 2026, it was 34°C (93°F). I asked to be seated in a cooler room, but the owner told me that the room might be used later and that I would then have to move. In the end, I finished my entire meal in a very hot room, while no one else came to sit in the other room. Furthermore, the owner doesn't know how to speak properly to customers. Her tone was neither pleasant nor respectful. It's a shame, because a little politeness and consideration would have made the experience much more enjoyable.

13/09/2025: A pleasant surprise! A warm welcome, and on the plate: delicious local flavors, especially if you enjoy meat. The setting and garden are lovely. The bill was more than reasonable. We will gladly return.

07/09/2025: The welcome was not very warm, it's not ideal for large families. We didn't even have time to settle in before we already wanted to leave.

30/12/2025: A loyal customer since the beginning, since the change of ownership the quality of the catering has really gone downhill. I bought a very dry chicken with a bad smell, and the rice and carrots were full of oil, smelly, and inedible—I threw everything in the bin. Avoid at all costs.

14/12/2025: Great shop, lots of traditional dishes to choose from. Top-quality products. Delicious food. I highly recommend it! 👍
