08/11/2025: It’s all about the simple things in life: the short hike up the mountain, the beautiful setting and sweeping views, our dog running across the hills with the kids, and the crunch of warm potato beignets with eggs and Beaufort.

18/09/2025: We loved eating at the Herney mountain pasture. Everything was magnificent: the walk to get there, the environment, the quality of the food as well as the breathtaking view of Mont Blanc! We would do it again!

08/09/2026: We couldn't have dreamed of a better venue for our wedding. From the very beginning, Stéphane and Marylou were welcoming and highly professional. 07/09/2026: What a magical place! We chose to rent it for three days for our wedding, and it was undoubtedly one of the best decisions we made. There's something truly special about this place. Leaving was much harder than we expected! Our wedding clearly wouldn't have been the same anywhere else. This place will forever be inextricably linked to these wonderful memories.

24/07/2026: Very comfortable, friendly and cosy hotel. The garden and pool are beautiful, with views on the Mont Blanc that are breathtaking. We loved our 7 days stay with our kids.

07/10/2026: We celebrated our wedding at Château de Saint-Sixt, and the experience was exceptional from beginning to end. The setting is simply stunning. For our preparations, the château area (both the bedrooms and the living room) was perfect: spacious, bright, and so pleasant for getting into the zone before the big day. A huge thank you to Marylou, the owner, for her fantastic welcome and kindness. We immediately felt in good hands. For the reception, the barn's facilities were a real asset for the organizers and vendors: a superbly equipped professional kitchen, numerous refrigerators, a top-notch sound system, and a video projector perfect for showing the presentations prepared by the wedding party. Finally, the terrace and garden were a hit with our guests for the cocktail hour, while also providing a sumptuous backdrop for our couple's photos. An incredible venue that we wholeheartedly recommend!

01/10/2026: Thank you for making our wedding day so magical. The Château de Saint Sixt is simply incredible; the spaces are magnificent, both inside and out, allowing for true personalization to suit our tastes. We decided to celebrate our union in the romantic dovecote, have the aperitifs outside, and then the meal and dancing inside. Everything was perfect. The food is simply delicious, the duck breast is to die for, and even the children loved it. The entire staff is incredibly attentive. Everything is perfect; don't change a thing! We had a wonderful evening celebrating our daughter's birthday.

16/03/2026: You can't miss the iconic Bacchus: the chef and his pink uniform. And when I say pink… I'm not talking pale pink or baby pink. No, I'm talking a vibrant fuchsia, the kind that will make your eyes pop before you even taste the appetizer. The chef sees life through rose-colored glasses, and it shows: a big smile, a warm welcome, and a team—partly family—that truly goes the extra mile. The food is a delight: delicious, generous, and full of flavor. The atmosphere is friendly, and there's even a playroom to keep the kids entertained while their parents enjoy their meal in peace. In short, a place where you eat very well and have a truly wonderful time. Needless to say, I can't wait to go back!

06/04/2026: Fantastic location for skiers with easy access to the slopes. We usually book self catering but as we were in Les Gets for a sneaky final week’s skiing we decided to take the 1/2 board option at John and Nicola’s family owned and managed slope-side hotel. Great food with plenty of choice and an extensive cheese board every evening. Excellent wine list and convivial bar - we had a brilliant week catching up with old friends. And the snow was good too so a fine end to the ski season. See you next year.

29/08/2026: We stopped there during a hike for a beer and apple juice, which were very good. Beautiful setting, stunning views, and very peaceful. Cash only, but they accept instant bank transfers, which is a plus :)

18/08/2026: The Tinderets refuge is magnificent, a wonderful discovery starting from Lac des Plagnes. Allow 45 minutes through the alpine pastures, with stunning views along scenic trails. The staff is really friendly; the cheese omelet and Tinderets salad with blueberry vinaigrette are delicious! The spiced apple juice is also excellent. You can also stay overnight; there are 13 places available, but reservations are required. A very beautiful setting for lunch.
