06/05/2026: Our experience was very mixed. Positive: - Comfortable bedding and a lovely view - The staff was very pleasant - The wine was very good (perfectly paired) - The view was beautiful, especially at sunset - Very quiet Negative: - For a seven-course dinner, we expected fresh bread, but it was dry. - The service was very slow; two and a half hours to eat is far too slow, especially since it wasn't really seven courses. The amuse-bouches aren't supposed to count as a course (we're used to Michelin-starred restaurants), and the rest of the meal should have been served quickly. - The room was shabby: peeling paint, noisy shower (when all they needed was a new faucet), and a bandage was used to repair the hairdryer... - There was a room with lots of board games, which was great! Except that the games are incomplete; we tested about ten of them, and there's always something missing...

05/05/2026: A haven of serenity (and delicious food) overlooking the mountains! An absolutely perfect stay at this aptly named establishment. From the moment you arrive, you're struck by the tranquility and the breathtaking view of the valley, but it's the welcome that truly makes the difference: warm, professional, and genuine. Spa: A pure moment of relaxation. The facilities are impeccable, and the view from the relaxation areas is simply magical. It's the ideal remedy after a day on the trails (or slopes!). I'll just mention the absence of a jacuzzi. There's a hammam, sauna, massage shower, and hanging chairs with a tea area. But no jacuzzi. Dining: Special mention for the restaurant! You can feel the genuine attention to local products, which are enhanced with finesse. It's top-notch, both for the palate and the service. The hotel's eco-responsible commitment (the first bioclimatic hotel in the region, if I'm not mistaken!) allows you to enjoy luxury guilt-free. In short, whether it's the attentive staff or the quality of the services, La Croix de Savoie is a rare find in Les Carroz. You come for the view, you stay for the experience. 29/03/2026: Sunday, March 29th. No heating in the tea room: welcome to the fridge! I see the management has decided to take care of its customers by turning off the heating. If you're planning on having a good time, bring your down jackets and blankets… or better yet, choose another establishment.

17/06/2026: An excellent restaurant that I frequent regularly. The Savoyard cuisine is authentic, generous, and always delicious. The dishes change with the seasons, using high-quality ingredients. Warm welcome and friendly atmosphere. I highly recommend it!

27/05/2026: You're far too rude to be seated facing the cable car 🚠. You, the blonde, bespectacled, and unpleasant owner, should really review your customer service standards. And for the locals who dare to give 5/5 ratings, I imagine you're entitled to a free coffee, with or without a jump… I have a coffee shop in La Clusaz myself, so I know what I'm talking about!

The welcome was warm and attentive from the moment we walked in, the meal was delicious from start to finish, and the staff were incredibly attentive! Thank you to the whole team for this wonderful experience. We will definitely be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed the delicious pâté en croûte and the superb grilled andouillette with homemade fries – absolutely divine! 14/08/2025: We stayed at this hotel with our children and grandchildren. We had apartment number 2. This apartment is supposed to accommodate up to 10 people. There's really only one bedroom upstairs. There are two not-quite-separated areas, each with a sofa bed. Downstairs, behind the living area, there's an alcove. It's incredibly stuffy. There's another sofa bed in this living area. The skylights in the bedrooms don't have built-in blinds. This is extremely annoying in the mornings during the peak of summer. It's also annoying because blinds prevent the sun's heat from entering the apartment. There's only one bathroom with a toilet. There's no separate toilet in the bathroom, which is a shame considering the number of people this apartment can accommodate. I don't think that's a good idea. The shower head is completely clogged with limescale. The other taps are too. Our children arrived before us. They told us the cleaning wasn't great. I noticed it immediately upon arrival. The front door handle wasn't properly tightened. The two screws were about to fall out. The cooktop, the cupboard above it, and the microwave are in a deplorable state. There's a dish towel in the cutlery drawer. It's in a shameful state. You have to wonder if it's even clean. The bathroom is just as deplorable. The door is no longer white. It doesn't have a lock. The latch is broken off. The front of what looks like a drawer under the sink is ripped off. In the kitchen/dining area, some of the chairs are in a precarious condition. One table is extremely dangerous. Under the tabletop, there are lag bolts in the corners to reinforce the legs. These bolts protrude dangerously. They've been clumsily disguised with wine bottle corks. We absolutely cannot understand how this type of accommodation can still be rented and called an "aparthotel." We don't understand how this kind of establishment can accommodate guests. There is a real lack of professionalism. No checks are carried out between each tenant. These checks could and should be done during the cleaning process. For us, it's a complete disgrace. We will never return to this place. A place to avoid at all costs.

18/07/2025: The apartment was clean and perfectly tidy upon our arrival, the welcome was warm and friendly, and they were available whenever we had questions. We stayed for two days. No complaints whatsoever. We are very surprised by the numerous negative reviews, which, based on our experience, seem excessive and unjustified. 19/05/2026: The three stars are dedicated to the positivity, energy, and efficiency of the Moroccan waiter. The rest of the team also deserves recognition for their hard work and warm welcome. However, the supermarket-quality food, McDonald's-style fries, and portion sizes need improvement.

18/02/2026: This place has become just another ordinary spot. We used to know it was much better, and during school holidays, they didn't even serve waffles at 4 pm, and that seemed perfectly normal... As a former bartender, I always managed to help customers out. What a shame.

11/01/2026: The setting is great! But only the setting. For the rest, the food selection is very limited, the service is cold, and they charge you directly. What a shame. Such a shame. Instead of making Les Deux Guides a hotspot for nightlife in Le Grand-Bornand... it's a very, very ordinary place!
