20/04/2026: Since the butcher's cut was flank steak, I ordered a Mont Blanc tartare. Disappointment! There was just a tiny bit of ham on top (see photo). I also ordered a mille-feuille 🤐 Disappointed compared to last year. I no longer eat at Grands Montets; I plan half-day trips and eat in Chamonix. I lose a bit of time, but I prefer it. €45 for a bad meal. The owner's explanation: it's the end of the season 😡

10/08/2026: Excellent restaurant, we go there every time we're in Flaine (for afternoon tea, drinks, or lunch/dinner) and the owners are lovely. The service is often quick (during the Christmas and summer holidays), the food is delicious and plentiful, the prices are very reasonable (compared to other restaurants), and everything is homemade. I highly recommend this place. Of course, there are always some dissatisfied customers, so don't pay attention to the few negative reviews, try it for yourself!

15/08/2026: Very good restaurant, but...beware of your bill!!! The waitress is extremely kind and pleasant, but the owner, the dark-haired woman, is awful, very unpleasant, and doesn't hesitate to charge exorbitant prices for drinks—like €6 for a Coke! I've never seen anything like it!!! The food is delicious, a real treat, but choose your drinks carefully and double-check your bill.

06/08/2026: A wonderful discovery in Évian! Everything was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The cuisine is a true culinary journey: homemade dishes, flavorful, incredibly fresh, and perfectly seasoned. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with an atmosphere that is both elegant and intimate. A huge thank you especially for the quality of service: Carole and Céline are smiling, attentive, and remarkably kind. It's a well-deserved 5-star experience, and we will return with immense pleasure!

03/08/2026: With all the beautiful, clean places around the lake where you can eat well, avoid this one at all costs!!! I used to come to La Seiche with the children for a few years; it was lovely. There was a pool table, darts, a ping-pong table, well-cared-for animals, a ball pit, and a few arcade games. Now everything has been removed, and it's completely run-down. Children have to watch where they walk in sandals because the ground is covered in cigarette butts, broken glass, and dog excrement (see photos). Dogs roam freely, not even on leashes, while people are eating and there are children around. They've closed off the entire upper floor and all the space behind the building, which means it fills up very quickly. A poor pony in the middle of all this is heartbreaking for everyone. The dance floor where we used to play with the kids now costs 5 euros per person... in short, we imagined this place would improve over time given its potential, but in the end, it's quite the opposite. We won't be going back until there's a new owner. The waiter, though a bit older, still makes great cocktails.

31/07/2026: The meal was okay, but the value for money was really poor. The rice wasn't cooked enough, the meat was disappointing, and the dishes arrived cold. Tip: Always ask for a receipt or ticket that matches what you pay. At the end of the evening, I returned the credit card they used to pay for the meals. They told me there was no money left on it. However, after checking, there was still €50 on the card. This situation seemed very suspicious to me, especially since I'm not the first person to report this type of problem.

07/09/2026: We waited at 6 PM on September 2nd at the chalet on Chemin de Sur la Ville to order pizzas. The restaurant was supposed to be open, but no one was there. After calling, we were directed to the Carrefour vending machine, and there, no choice, and the pizzas were disgusting, not fresh. It's a real rip-off; they treat tourists like cash cows.

31/08/2026: Tacos are perfect for emptying your stomach; everything came out almost untouched. Pray you can hear your friends, because the TV volume is probably set so the whole town can hear it.
