28/07/2026: We ate there last summer (and were disappointed), but we gave it another chance this year. Verdict: disappointed both times! 2025: - My 4-year-old daughter got 3 wasp stings in ONE meal, the terrace was swarming with them! The staff offered nothing to help my daughter (no ice pack or anything), they didn't even come to check on her even though they saw what was happening (a child screaming 3 times during a meal doesn't go unnoticed). - Very slow service. - But the pizzas were alright. 2026: - The terrace was still swarming with wasps, a nightmare trying to have a peaceful snack. The neighboring tables were struggling just like us. - Extremely slow service even though we only ordered 4 crepes for our snack. - The crepes were awful. I was quite disappointed and upset because, considering the price of the crepes, I don't understand how they could be so badly cooked! They weren't cooked at all. My daughters didn't eat a thing, even though we're talking about 4 and 5-year-olds who are usually very greedy. - The staff isn't very friendly; they respond very curtly when we ask where the restrooms are, etc. The next day we tried the terrace next door: "Le Refuge." We were won over, and I'm going to leave them a review too (wasp traps absolutely everywhere and incredibly effective because we didn't see a single one bother us; they were all caught in the traps. Chez Papaz should take note... The woman who served us (probably the manager) and the servers are super friendly, a very family-oriented atmosphere. The manager takes the time to chat with each customer, making everyone feel valued. She had a lovely chat with my daughters and gave them a small pack of crayons... we were won over!). We won't be trying Chez Papaz a third time.

26/07/2026: We simply had a drink there, the welcome was smiling and warm, the staff were lovely!

29/07/2026: I only come here because Stan is very professional, welcoming, and available; despite the restaurant's heat, he takes care of customers with a smile.

24/07/2026: I come here from time to time, and I have to admit I'm disappointed by the service and the friendliness of the two young people behind the counter. The wait was awful, especially since there weren't many customers. And the way they gave me my order—just plopping it on the bar without a word or a goodbye. It was a young brunette. I much preferred the previous waiters; they were far more friendly!

04/04/2026: I went to eat with my family, hoping to have a nice day at this restaurant. I'm really not happy with the service. The manager practically attacked me because I pointed out that I'd been waiting 20 minutes for my coffee. In short, avoid this place!

04/04/2026: The smell is disgusting, run away! The waiter was unpleasant and cold.

04/08/2026: We were there today, first we walked around Lac Vert and then stopped at La Bergerie. A great location with a fantastic view of Mont Blanc. This won't be our last visit. The drinks selection was excellent. Thank you. Highly recommended.

08/05/2026: I used to love this place, it had such great food, a great vibe and the staff was so fun. Unfortunately not anymore since it changed hands. The food is not horrible, but just average. Choice went down, prices went up. But most of all, the vibe is gone. It used to be a chill place with chill snowboarders, it used to be fun to hang here. Now it’s skiers (nothing against skiers, just a different vibe), or pop music from some random radio station and pretty empty. Nothing special anymore. And yes, they also got my order wrong (which wasn’t anything hard, just a burger and twister fries). I’ll miss the old place and won’t be returning here anymore.

06/04/2026: Despite the very good food, the prices are far too high. €20 for a burger is simply too expensive. Very well located.

12/07/2026: It took 45 minutes to get a hamburger served. Don't go to this restaurant; they don't speak French. I don't recommend it.

09/04/2026: Good value for money. Very good location in relation to the slopes and children's ski lessons. The head waitress is excellent, on par with her counterpart at Brasserie Georges.

09/04/2026: AMAZING! Honestly, this is the second lunchtime we've eaten there, and as a Breton, I can assure you they're the best galettes in the Portes du Soleil region!!! 09/08/2026: This is probably my first fully deserved top rating from the bottom. This place lured us in with the promise of Napoli pizza baked in a wood-fired oven. Unfortunately, we got a greasy, cheesy pizza with an exceptionally hard crust and practically no flavor. On top of that, water cost about 9 euros and a very unpleasant smell in the place, which effectively ruined our appetite. Definitely one of the biggest gastronomic disappointments of the trip.

08/08/2026: Honestly, the restaurant was terrible. First, the pasta was very, very average. The pizza was unsalted and very ordinary. Personally, I would never go back, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. We ordered pizza, pasta, fries, and a drink, and the bill came to 40 euros.

17/07/2026: Avoid this place at all costs; it deserves to be shut down. Everything is wrong: the service, the food, the cleanliness, the premises. Seriously, don't go there.

25/07/2026: Excellent cold brew and a very good and refreshing homemade lemon, ginger, and sparkling water drink. The desserts are delicious and beautiful 🤤🤤! And the service is very friendly and helpful 👍🏻👏🏻🫶🏻.

24/07/2026: I'm used to coming here for a delicious Americano with foam on top, served with respect and friendliness. Today, July 24th, the same order arrived with a lukewarm, watery coffee. I returned my coffee to the waitress, who gave me a very rude reception. I hadn't complained. I wanted my coffee hot. I don't understand her reaction. As a regular customer, I'm disappointed. 12:20 PM. The young woman at the register, on the other hand, was great. I spent €17.30. She made me another coffee, still just hot. Martine
