02/06/2026: Charming little hotel, welcoming staff and a great location!

01/06/2026: Stay in suite 6, it's worth every penny. The room was huge, with two queen beds and a large, modern bathroom with tub. It also had the most charming and beautiful ceiling with huge wooden beams and a view of the water and nearby beach. And it was quiet at night (except for the random 4am fireworks display). We initially went to Cassis as an afterthought on our tour of the South of France (Aix-en-Provence, Nice, Cannes, Cassis, Arles) but it ended up being our favourite stay. Largely because of this amazing hotel, with incredible breakfast and also parking on site. Also check out Balthazar for dinner at the harbour.

18/07/2026: A restaurant where the steak tartare is prepared right in front of you with care and attention to the ingredients. It was excellent; I thoroughly enjoyed it. The atmosphere was pleasant, with a lovely fabric tablecloth and matching napkins. Thank you.

11/07/2026: A lovely terrace in a pleasant pedestrian square provides the perfect setting for a delicious meal. The menu offers a wide selection of dishes, salads, and pizzas. Those we tried were generous and delicious. Be aware that it gets busy in the evenings, and you may have to wait for a table. The service was attentive and quick.

22/07/2026: A huge disappointment. The dishes were bland (the melon and watermelon soup was tasteless, and the prawn risotto was like baby food). The previous team at Laïa produced much better food. Finally, there are more closely packed tables than before, making it noisy. The value for money is simply not there.

22/07/2026: The food was very good and the setting pleasant. However, the service left much to be desired: long waits, forgotten orders, and errors when the bill was presented.

11/07/2026: A very well-located restaurant in the old streets of Porto-Vecchio. The food is quite good, even if it's nothing particularly elaborate. However, the service is deplorable. The waitress treated us haughtily and disdainfully throughout the meal. We felt like we were bothering her every time we asked for something (water, sauces for the fries, etc.). It's a real shame, as it completely ruined our experience.

02/06/2026: As always, perfect. The chef and his wife are just lovely. The food is very good and the place is super cute.

12/05/2026: We were spending a weekend with our family in Niederbronn and decided to eat at La Romaine on a whim, as we didn't know the town at all. We had a wonderful time with our children: the portions were generous and delicious, the prices quite reasonable, and above all, the welcome was warm. We were immediately made to feel at ease and served with good cheer all evening. If we ever come back for another holiday, we'll definitely eat there again.

09/06/2026: A good meal worthy of a good Italian restaurant. Delicious dishes 😋. Friendly service (you'd think you were in Parma, Italy). The only problem (which I think is important!) was the small portions. The aperitifs and cocktails were served in glasses that were too small. It's a shame, guys, you're great, but be careful, you'll ruin your portions. The prices are reasonable, and the waiter gives good advice and doesn't push you to order more. Very good. Just a little more generous portions, guys, and you'll attract more customers. I'm just saying, for your own good. I'll definitely come back to try your very, very good dishes and see if the plates are fuller. Otherwise, it's a shame. Thank you and see you next time.

06/06/2026: I came with my mother for Mother's Day. The waiter gave me a rose to give to her (the owners really organized it!), and he was funny too—what more could you ask for? For my meal, I had a delicious prawn risotto, and my mother had a pizza that I didn't get to try because she devoured it! 😋😋

07/06/2026: Simply the best pizzas you'll find in Aquitaine. The dough is excellent, and so are the other ingredients. And of course, the pizzeria owner is incredibly welcoming and friendly. I highly recommend it.

13/07/2026: Very disappointed. I had already been to this restaurant about ten years ago and had very fond memories of it. That's precisely why I decided to return on Saturday evening, July 11th. When it came time to pay the bill, I was charged €151. Yet, we had simply ordered a shared appetizer for €28, two pasta dishes, a bottle of wine for €39, and a carafe of water. Having taken the time to check the prices of the dishes and wines before ordering, I recalculated the bill with a clear head. Using the prices listed on the menu, it's impossible to arrive at a total of €151. The difference is so significant that it practically corresponds to the price of an additional course. Therefore, I don't consider this a simple calculation error. I should add that I found the situation surprising when it came time to pay: the person who was initially going to take the payment was replaced by Mr. Fulvio, who insisted on handling it himself. At the time, this struck me as odd. I didn't dispute the bill immediately so as not to spoil the evening, but after recalculating, I'm certain that the amount charged didn't match the prices listed on the menu. Looking at the reviews afterward, I realized that I wasn't the only customer to report problems with the bills. This is extremely regrettable. I won't be returning.

It's very rare in Saint-Quentin to find a traditional Italian restaurant with truly authentic staff, excellent quality ingredients, and a young and lively atmosphere that isn't too noisy. In short, the very essence of the Italian way of life. A must-try, and a must-try again and again.
