23/09/2024: Un moment de partage agréable, dans un endroit très chaleureux ! Les pâtes et les pizzas étaient délicieuses y compris le tiramisu nociollata 😍 Un très bon rapport qualité / prix ! J’en ai encore l’eau à la bouche de ces pizzas napolitaine d’exceptions 😍

14/09/2024: Nous avons réservé via leur site et nous sommes rendus à Obermama à l'heure. Nous avons du attendre une heure dans une queue où tout le monde attendait leur réservation aussi. Personne ne nous expliquait rien. Nous avons fini par partir, en demandant à l'hôtesse de bien vouloir annuler la taxe qui s'applique lorsqu'on ne se présente pas pour une réservation. Elle nous a confirmé qu'il n'y aurait aucun problème, aujourd'hui je vois que j'ai néanmoins été débité de 50 euros. Expérience très frustrante.

A member of the group came in to let us know we were there, and heard the staff talking behind our backs. "Who do they think they are? Not even a hello." They obviously thought we were deaf. Apparently, we had to file in one by one, then form a guard of honor to greet them? A member of the group had actually taken the time to warn them, but apparently, it wasn't enough. And then, "This isn't a kebab shop," not subtle, but very telling. Denigrating other restaurateurs to feel on top, when there's neither the welcome, nor the level, nor even the customers to keep up the frenzy... given the number of empty tables on a Friday night when everything around is full, it's easy to understand. We could tell that the gentleman clearly didn't think he was indifferent, denigrating "kebabs," as if he were running a Michelin-starred restaurant... in an empty restaurant. So, naturally, when we pointed out to him that his restaurant wasn't a palace, as he might have thought, he took it badly. He stormed off, his tone rising, using the informal "you," and I quote, "stay calm." I'm not sure what he was trying to prove, but it's true that it was becoming ridiculous. Then the waitress shouted, "Leave if you're not happy," as if we were going to stay with such an atmosphere; it was quite ironic. A Friday night, an empty restaurant when everything around it was full... no surprise, really. Everything was clear from the moment we walked in. Updated review following the owner's response: Thank you for your response, even if it doesn't address anything I raised. Rather than acknowledge this lack, you prefer to go off on an off-topic rant about your personal journey (which I don't question). You say you saw "reality, ignorance, and monopoly"? What I saw was an empty restaurant, two people behind a counter, and no one to greet customers with reservations. Nothing more, nothing less. And no, we didn't "ignore" anyone; there simply wasn't anyone to be seen. So we sat down. That's what you do in any restaurant when no one comes to you, especially when the waitress is quietly behind the counter, without a single customer to serve. In the restaurant business, greeting a customer, especially with a reservation, is the basics, not a luxury. But hey, obviously, for you, it's become optional. You talk about respect, very well. So, according to you, not going around saying "hello" one by one is disrespectful. But on the other hand, talking about customers behind their backs, using informal "you," "stay calm," and sending them away while shouting "go away"—is all that respect? Interesting. But the real gem is your phrase "remember, as a veiled woman." I imagine you're talking about my mother, or my aunt, but I don't wear a veil. It's surprising how quickly certain words come up: "kebab, veiled women..." But no, of course not, no preconceived notions here... Anyway, that said, what's fascinating is your logic. According to you, a veiled woman should necessarily embody a form of absolute respect. But you forget the essential point: respect depends neither on the headscarf nor on appearance. It depends on attitude. And that day, the problematic attitude didn't come from us. Accusing someone of manipulation simply because they write clearly is curious. But it's true, when you don't know how to respond on the substance, you attack the form. Classic. But if we want to talk psychology, let's go ahead: when someone feels put in difficulty by calm and precise words, it's not because the other person is manipulative, it's because they are touched. 12/12/2024: We went to eat in this restaurant after hearing praise on tiktok we went there without conviction but we do not regret our choice at all the staff is very pleasant always attentive the setting is friendly and the meal is succulent and real food of quality I took the lamb shank with its fabulous sauce served with sliced ​​potatoes with a good taste of parsley it was a pure delight an explosion of flavors in the mouth my friend took an incredibly good Caesar salad formula steak fries and dessert were all delicious. Special mention for the pepper sauce which is by far the best I have ever eaten in my life. I finish with my pistachio tart dessert and I have only one complaint to make, it is the cake which was not pleasant in taste and texture otherwise the cream I really liked. I just want to go back quickly, my mouth is watering 🤗

11/09/2024: Thank you to the man in the checked shirt who came to the hall during the evening of 9/11 for being so kind! Even though they couldn't communicate well in English, they tried their best, and even when I asked if they could prepare the menu quickly because I had a schedule ahead of them, they answered very readily! Thanks to this, I had a good meal, and the price seems to be good value for money compared to other restaurants. I ate steak!

07/12/2024: Very good atmosphere in this restaurant and a warm welcome to boot. We ordered the Regina pizza and the seafood pasta, decent and generous dishes. But for me, the real star of the dinner was the tiramisù. What a delight!

13/01/2025: We came this weekend for a group stay, and were very well received. The hotel is simple, family-run, clean, cozy and friendly, you feel at home. The rooms are clean, the bedding is incredibly comfortable and the little touches like cotton buds and cotton pads are always very pleasant. The only small negative point is the insulation of the rooms which is very thin, you can easily hear noise from the corridors or adjoining rooms. The meals are good and of good quality and the lounge next to the bar is ideal for relaxing in the warmth after a day of skiing. The owners are kind, helpful and serious, we were delighted with this stay at the Hôtel de la Pendine. Thank you to you and your team.
