Honestly, from start to finish, everything was impeccable! 10/10 ❤️ A fantastic welcome, a lovely and incredibly professional waitress who managed the entire dining room single-handedly, even with a very large table of about twenty people… and despite that, everything was perfectly under control! 👏 And then the food… absolutely divine! 😍 I had the homemade foie gras, simply succulent. My husband chose the snails in garlic butter, also delicious 🤤. And for our main course, we had the fish casserole: a real treat! 🐟❤️ All accompanied by an excellent little white wine recommended by the waitress… perfect! And what can I say about the owner? A lovely person, super friendly and truly warm! 🥰 She even let me spin the wheel of fortune 🎡 and I won a glass of champagne for our next visit! 🍾🥂 A small gesture that was truly appreciated and perfectly reflects the friendly atmosphere of this place. It was honestly one of the best moments we've had since arriving in Dunkirk. A place I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone passing through the area. 👉 I recommend it 1000%! ❤️ We will definitely be back… and even more excited for our little glass of champagne! 😂🥂🍾

So we asked for ice: we were brought… just one single ice cube per glass. Needless to say, it didn't have time to work its magic. The only real positive point: the waitress was very kind, smiling, and helpful; no complaints there. It's a shame, because with such high prices, one naturally expects a corresponding level of service. -- Response to the establishment: Thank you for your response, but unfortunately, it doesn't really reflect our experience. Regarding the "bargain prices," we didn't even bother looking at the menu: €5.80 for a 25cl Affligem draft beer and €4.80 for a Coke already seemed high enough to give us an idea of ​​the establishment's price range and not to continue with a meal. As for the ice cubes, I think there's also a misunderstanding: the problem isn't that the ice melted quickly. The drinks were served to us hot or barely chilled, and that's precisely why we had to ask for ice. We were then given only one ice cube per glass. The "natural phenomenon" mentioned in your response doesn't really explain the situation. As for the "exceptional crowd," when we sat down on the terrace around noon, it was practically empty. When we went to pay inside, we overheard the manager pressuring her employees to sell more, especially desserts, explaining that otherwise she wouldn't be able to keep everyone on staff. This certainly didn't give the impression of an establishment overwhelmed by customers at that time. Finally, when I mention the kindness and professionalism of your waitress, I'm not "nuancing" my comment: I'm simply distinguishing between the quality of service provided by an employee and the overall service of the establishment. She was very pleasant, and I stand by that compliment. However, I am quite surprised by the tone of your response, which seems more intent on disputing every comment than on listening to a customer's experience. And, on a more personal note, its highly standardized wording strongly suggests an AI-generated response. If that is indeed the case, I find it regrettable that a customer review doesn't warrant a few minutes of personal attention from management. My initial comment simply recounted our experience. Your response, unfortunately, only confirms our impression.

29/09/2026: I regularly come to this chip shop and I'm usually very satisfied. The portions are generous and I generally leave feeling quite full. Unfortunately, today, September 20th, 2026, I was really disappointed with my pita pocket. There was very little meat, as you can see in my photo. 😕 For the price, you expect a decent meal and a reasonably filled pocket. I actually found a photo in the reviews of a pita pocket that clearly shows what a portion usually looks like. So I've included both photos so everyone can see the difference between that pocket and the one I was served today.

24/06/2026: It's good, but it's a shame that considering the price, which is the same as another chip shop in Pont-sur-Sambre, we were very poorly served. Not many fries. Half a baguette was really small. It's a shame, as we're a family of five and we always get two burgers and meat for our three children. With the heatwave and everything closed, we went there, but there were hardly any fries at all. Considering the high price, be more generous.

23/09/2026: Berg's "L'Aubette" is the perfect place to refresh yourself, with its open terrace seating and warm service. The terrace seating, where you can feel the bright sunshine and pleasant breeze, is very open and allows you to spend a relaxing and special time. Furthermore, the staff's service is very kind and attentive, and their thoughtful attention to detail made me feel warm and happy throughout my visit. I've visited about three times, and every dish has been delicious and wonderful. Also, the friendly service from the staff makes it an exceptionally comfortable place to be. I would definitely recommend this wonderful place for a solo break or for a coffee time with someone special!

02/09/2026: We came on August 10th for our wedding anniversary, so I introduced it to my husband as he hadn't been before, and we weren't disappointed. Everything was delicious, from the aperitif to the dessert, nothing to complain about. The service was also excellent; the waitress was very friendly and there wasn't too long a wait between courses—perfect!

15/09/2026: A good restaurant if you're staying at the hotel: very reasonable prices and convenient, however, the portions are a bit small in my opinion and the desserts didn't particularly appeal to me. As with the hotel, the servers are friendly and the setting is pleasant, even with a small terrace. It's perfectly adequate for a hotel restaurant!
