17/04/2026: THE RESTAURANT TO TRY IN ASCAIN! We stopped by chance one evening in Ascain and what a discovery! The chef was lovely, the food generous and delicious! The txuleton for two was perfectly seasoned, the fries were homemade, the sheep's cheese was excellent, and the pistachio-raspberry fondant was delicious… everything was homemade! If we're ever back in the area, this will definitely be our next stop!

22/03/2026: A beautifully decorated room, with many thoughtful touches upon arrival (Basque cake, complimentary drinks in the refrigerator). The peaceful Basque countryside. A superb breakfast with the chef personally bringing the eggs and bacon – very classy!

15/07/2026: Thank goodness for the football atmosphere… Waitress rhymes with shameful, right? Well, yes… Feeling like you're bothering people when you order five glasses of Chardonnay, when that's simply your role as customers??? SHAMEFUL, but oh well, no hard feelings when the bars next door clearly tell you it's not the place to go.

14/07/2026: They refuse to remove the parasols even though they are very obstructive to watching the France match; I absolutely do not recommend them.

03/07/2026: Here's our experience ;) We arrived with our 19-month-old daughter. The owner immediately came out of the kitchen to greet us and set up a table with a high chair. A lovely gesture and a truly exceptional welcome. Then came the cuisine… worthy of a Michelin-starred chef. In fact, the chef has worked in several Michelin-starred restaurants, and it shows in every dish. Everything is perfectly executed, the cooking is flawless, the flavors are just right, and the seafood is sublime. Beyond his talent, he's a chef with a big heart. Despite his work in the kitchen, he keeps a watchful eye on the dining room and his guests. You can feel his passion for cooking and his delight in pleasing others. If you love seafood, you won't be disappointed. The place may not look like much from the outside, but don't be fooled: the magic happens on the plate. As a regular at fine dining restaurants, I can attest that the quality of the food is impressive. A wonderful discovery that I recommend without hesitation.

06/07/2026: This was my first time eating here, and it was very good. I wasn't disappointed at all, from the appetizer to the dessert. I highly recommend it! The service was quick and the waitress was pleasant.

06/07/2026: This place has a lovely terrace with a sea view. It also has tables inside. The cookies are good, they're tasty. However, I found it a bit expensive for what it is. The service was adequate, nothing special.

13/05/2026: A truly exceptional place. I was about 15 years old when I first discovered it. My father was friends with the current owner's parents, and I regret never having met their son. But what I can say for sure is that the food hasn't changed; it's still just as good, and the atmosphere is still the same—a haven of peace. The cuisine is sublime, and I'm not just saying that because I knew the owners; it's truly a place to discover, both for its visual appeal and for its Béarnaise gastronomy. Enjoy your experience!

03/05/2026: A restaurant you absolutely must try. A perfect menu, and a delicious homemade Garbure (cabbage and bean soup). What more can I say except that it's excellent? I'll gladly return.
