03/10/2025: We went to the door after seeing the good reviews on Google. Once there, at 7 p.m., we waited more than 30 minutes: still closed. The hours are not indicated on Google or on the door (just "open lunch and dinner" without any details). We also called, without answer. Passing through La Rochelle, we were disappointed not to have been able to try it.

24/11/2025: A pleasant experience at this restaurant. We stumbled upon it during a motorcycle ride. I ordered a beef and sausage dish in sauce and a shandy. The bread on the table was a bit dry and had a burnt taste underneath. The crumb was good and airy. The shandy was very fresh and had a great flavor. It was refreshing! The main course arrived. The fries were crispy and well-cooked, perfectly golden brown. The Toulouse sausage was delicious with Emmental-type cheese and parsley. The rare ribeye steak (even though I had asked for it well-done) was good, not stringy, but not cooked enough. The sauce was rich but had a good poutine flavor. Overall, the dish became a bit cloying after a while. The price was reasonable.

13/09/2024: Correct afterwards I would like more choice, in fact I expect more, I really note what I consume and what I notice for my part the waitress should be more professional have an adequate outfit uniform style which recalls the brand or the emblem of the restaurant 😉👍🏼, for the atmosphere please make me disappear this damn TV!!! It's a restaurant and not a cafe!! Your TV is causing your rating to plummet! 😡 Everyone has a smartphone these days, why put this screen in front of our plates??? Really stupid.

09/12/2024: You will find specialties of Portuguese cuisine among others Maria will offer you the cod with fried potatoes a real treat, the caramel egg flan is not bad either and all this in a warm atmosphere.

12/11/2024: Nice owners and a clean hotel; however, there was a sewer smell coming from the bathroom in my room which I couldn't get rid of despite my attempts including airing out the room in the middle of November. Unfortunately I had to sleep with my room smelling like this.

07/11/2024: We are not very restaurant-oriented because we are often disappointed and yesterday at lunchtime, wanting to treat ourselves, we randomly came across this one and were delighted by the welcome and the abundant and succulent daily menu. The lady is of Portuguese origin and we visited her beautiful country by bike.

22/11/2025: I had lunch with my mom today. We ordered two kebab plates, and let me tell you, they were so generous that I couldn't finish them all! The portions were very generous, the food was delicious, and the restaurant was spotless! The owner is really lovely. We'll be back.

31/08/2024: A restaurant that has really increased its prices, too bad. A poor steak without sauce for 29 EUR, plate of grilled prawns (only 5 and a small mash) for 25 euros.... too expensive and above all much cheaper in Saint Cyprien

30/12/2024: An exceptional place located a stone's throw from the Donjon de Niort and the Marais Poitevin. The night was very pleasant in this quiet and perfectly decorated place. Wake up gently thanks to the scent of meat slowly cooked by Maitre Kemal, the owner of the place, who already cooked under Valéry Giscard d'Estaing. Fortunately the meat is no longer the same as it was at that time. In short, the €9 menu including a night in the Kemal hotel is a must have when visiting Niort.

Aperitif, main course and dessert 😊 Favorite for the chocolate fondant 😜 The room was full, not really surprising, we had a blast! Thank you so much.

05/12/2024: De l'excellente cuisine à Angoulême servi dans un cadre très agréable. Chez Paul est proche du palais de justice d'Angoulême, et le personnel qui y travaille est très professionnel et bien élevé. Tenue impeccable. Distance et humour. La cuisine est exquise, l'œuf parfait dans un velouté de potimarron, le tartare revisité avec sa panière de frites, le suprême de volaille aux pleurotes et sa petite purée, le saumon, etc. Que de belles réussites parfaitement maitrisées. Les vins proposés qui accompagnent cette super cuisine sont parfaitement associés et bien sélectionnés. La pâtisserie française est également très à l'honneur avec sa poire belle Hélène nappée de son chocolat chaud fondu, mais aussi une surprise exotique avec un dessert à la pulpe d'ananas. Le patron (collectionneur de vins et de cognacs) ainsi que son équipe vous accueilleront très bien. Justiciables, vous venez de perdre votre procès et beaucoup d'argent : venez vous consoler chez Paul. Avocats, votre client vient de prendre perpétuité quand vous lui promettiez 6 mois avec sursis : venez vous consoler chez Paul. Magistrats, vos mérites objectifs ne sont pas reconnus par vos collègues ou par le syndicat national de la magistrature : venez les oublier chez Paul fabricant de bonne humeur !

30/11/2024: Rapport qualité prix correct. Produits frais et bien cuisinés. Menu à 39€ : carpaccio de saumon, cabillaud et île flottantes (excellent dessert). Bon accueil, service rapide et efficace. Peut-être un peu cher mais cuisine honorable.
