02/05/2026: We had reserved a table for 20 people, but upon arrival, we had to move the tables ourselves so we could all sit together, which is very unprofessional for a reservation of this size. Furthermore, part of the group was seated in the sun, and no solution was offered to avoid us being in direct sunlight, which made the experience uncomfortable. The service, for its part, left much to be desired, with one waiter being rather too familiar. For example, when we asked for water, the waiter was far too familiar and made an inappropriate remark: "You're starting to get on my nerves." He displayed the same attitude when we tried to move to the shade, with a "You're not being a pain, are you?" It's a shame, because the initial contact before the event was good, and the quality of the meal was excellent in a lovely setting where the welcome is usually pleasant. However, the overall experience was largely spoiled by the lack of organization, professionalism, and the staff's behavior. I do not recommend this place if you are looking to book large groups.

12/05/2026: Excellent stay at Domaine de Valaudran A beautiful place with character, well located (easy access to highway, train, and town) and peaceful. The staff was attentive and competent. Notes: - Hotel: very comfortable beds - Restaurant: gourmet-style menu, but generous portions Also a great place to remember for corporate seminars and private events (weddings).

05/05/2026: May 1, 2026. Two nights. Hotel in the town square. Parking nearby, right in front. Room with a double bed, small but renovated bathroom, overlooking the square. Half-board: breakfast with hot drinks, juices, excellent croissants, bread, butter, jam, and yogurt. Dinner with a choice of two dishes and dessert, the daily special always excellent. Excellent value. It's not our first time here, and we'll be back.

24/04/2026: We stopped by without a reservation and received a very warm welcome. We enjoyed an excellent Périgord salad and a delicious apple puff pastry for dessert. An experience to be repeated. 18/02/2026: We came during the spring festival and it's clear that this restaurant is a vital part of the lifeblood of the small village of La Douze! The food is high quality, we thoroughly enjoyed it!

09/04/2026: The atmosphere with the servers was excellent, with plenty of humor for both children and adults. The service was very fast, perhaps too fast...??? We went to eat there the weekend of the kite festival. So, did that influence our judgment...? First of all, the menu we saw on the website was different once we sat down, and the prices were also changed, especially the children's menu, which went from €12 to €15... Then, the desire to do too much to make a big profit, I think, compromised the quality. I tried the prawns with "crying tiger" sauce. Having tried this sauce at other restaurants, I know it was much spicier. Furthermore, the prawns arrived barely warm, and by the time I'd peeled them... the meal was cold... The same went for the daily special, which didn't even require peeling. As for dessert, the "chef's surprise" at €9 turned out to be just a macaron, admittedly quite large, but for the price, rather simplistic and lacking in flavor, accompanied by non-homemade whipped cream.

10/05/2026: Breakfast lacked yogurt. Meat dishes lacked sauce (pepper or Roquefort). The rest of the building could use some maintenance.

29/05/2026: Our experience at La Mare aux Oiseaux was mixed. The welcome was good, and we were seated on the terrace, which, admittedly, has a beautiful setting. However, seven times throughout lunch, we were defecated by bird droppings that had settled directly above our table (including one dropping that fell into a glass of water). While these inconveniences were not the fault of the establishment, no compensation or solution (such as changing tables or removing the birds) was offered, despite our repeated complaints. This spoiled our meal, as we were constantly worried about another dropping. We weren't even offered complimentary coffee to ease our dissatisfaction. We didn't find this to be what one would expect from a Michelin-starred restaurant. As for the food, the dishes were well-prepared, without any mistakes, but also without any surprises. The food and wine pairing surprised us and introduced us to new flavors. The service was very attentive (numerous servers) and welcoming, although it felt a bit like a rehearsed, mechanical routine. The real highlight was the discovery of the food and wine pairing, which delighted and surprised us.

27/05/2026: A magical interlude. Magnificent setting. Very attentive and friendly staff. Extraordinary dinner. Time seems to stand still. Everything is perfect.

31/05/2026: The menu was somewhat limited due to Mother's Day. It took time to order and patience for the food to arrive. It was also very busy, and the one waitress was extremely busy.

06/06/2026: Unfortunately, the visit to this Georgian restaurant left a very unpleasant impression. Khinkali were made from coarse and thick dough, which was tasteless and did not meet the expectations of traditional Georgian cuisine at all. I would like to separately note the service. The waitress behaved unfriendly and even rudely towards the guests, which completely spoiled the atmosphere of the evening. When visitors encounter such an attitude, they do not want to return to the establishment. I hope that the administration will pay attention to both the quality of the dishes and the level of service.

21/04/2026: Great menu with set menus; I was able to try some Georgian specialties, everything was fantastic from the appetizers to the desserts and the wines. Great place

08/05/2026: The food here was the best we tasted all week while on holiday in Calvi. The calamari with squid ink risotto was a-maz-ing. We also enjoyed drinks in the restaurant as well as on the beach (deckchairs or comfy loungers) over several visits. Good service and lovely ambiance.

10/06/2026: We stayed at this hotel in June with our motorcycles. The welcome was very warm and friendly. The little dog, "Risotto," also gave us a very sweet greeting. The rooms are clean, and the shower and toilet are also in good working order. The food on-site is highly recommended. We would gladly return if we are ever in the area again.

22/05/2026: A stopover on our motorcycle trip; for lunch we really enjoyed the homemade fried trout! Don't hesitate to stop by!
