17/10/2025: I ate on October 16, 2025 And I was disappointed The homemade fries are cut into matchsticks so cooked that it looks like you're eating chips The homemade fries are cooked in 2 batches and they are made thick They need to be small to cook only once and to go quickly but there is no quality it is better to freeze them. 23/02/2026: We stopped off the N10 for lunch on our way to Bordeaux. We were warmly welcomed with our dog. The meal was very good, both the main course and dessert. Good value for money. €47 for two, including beer and coffee.

03/01/2026: Absolutely avoid this place! The owner is incredibly unpleasant and should consider a career change; she's completely unsuitable for customer service. She's constantly yelling. Luckily, there was a very professional waiter.

18/02/2026: Terrible… we were simply a nuisance. The reception was a disaster; the waiter spent more time looking at the floor to see what the children (baby) were dropping than anything else. The meal was catastrophic, expensive, and nothing justified it. Never again; there are far better places.

17/02/2026: I loved this place. A total immersion in Portugal. What generosity! Shellfish, grilled meats, fish, cod, homemade chips. A real treat!

19/01/2025: Sunday afternoon, we sit down for a snack. The room is almost empty, a few people outside. The table next to us waited a very long time for a coffee! We wait 15 minutes for our table to finally be cleared. The waitress deigned to give us the cards unfortunately she never came back to take our order!!!! 30 minutes or more to eat nothing We decide to leave.... The waitress looks at us without reaction.

15/01/2025: Welcome to the Auberge du Port, where we reinvent the art of mistreating customers! An unforgettable experience thanks to a room manager as friendly as a 'no parking' sign and as competent as a goldfish at the wheel. Sorry for coming to the Auberge du port as a tourist trap! what audacity on our part! Special mention to the moment when she asked us to leave, something never seen before! (according to her, her tired brigade couldn't manage) I point out that when we sat down we heard "we're coming to take your order"... only 45 minutes later still no one. Honestly, if you're looking for a place to laugh (yellow) or test your patience, this is it. Otherwise, look elsewhere, where the customer is perhaps still somewhat respected. We give 1 star for the cuisine which we were not able to taste but if it is up to the rest we are not wrong.

16/02/2026: I left a fantastic 5-star review 2 or 3 years ago, which I now have to delete. Honestly, as a regular customer, I come here often, but I don't know if the owner has changed or not, but the gentleman with the accent has become very haughty and unpleasant. We always come in a group, and it seems to bother him, whether it's when taking our order or paying. He clearly told us, "Usually, people only pay once per table." Oh really, even when there are six of us? They must have nice friends who treat them. Anyway, then he claimed not to know the prices of the "heavenly" or "earthly paradise" offers, even though I know them myself. He handed us the receipt and asked us to tell him the price to be charged per person without asking what we each ordered. It took him 10 minutes to charge us, even though we tried calmly to explain what we had ordered to speed things up, but he wouldn't listen. Honestly, he's spoken to us rudely several times before, and we never said anything, but this is too much. He even told us, "Leave a comment if you want, I'm just working." It's such a shame for regular customers to be treated like that; it really puts us off coming back!

14/02/2026: My husband and I dined at Paradis du Fruit and were delighted, both by the quality of the meal and the friendliness of the staff. A very special thank you to Michael and Moussa for their warm welcome, kindness, and professionalism. If you are lucky enough to be served by them, you will be in very good hands! A truly wonderful experience; we will gladly return.

17/01/2026: I think it's hard to imagine anything worse: we waited 35 minutes before being served. The burger patty was way overcooked and dry, the homemade fries were soggy, very greasy, and dark brown. The daily special must have been meant for a four-year-old: a tiny portion and overcooked rice. My pork was completely cold, and the bread arrived after we'd finished eating! In short, it's been a long time since we've been so disappointed by a "restaurant."

14/01/2026: Very mediocre restaurant! The welcome was adequate, however, we waited over 40 minutes for our dish, which arrived cold. Everyone who arrived after us was served before us! As for the food, it was the worst I've had in a long time. The burger had shoe-like meat, and the homemade fries were burnt, soggy, and cooked in old oil. The side dish was a green salad and a slice of hard-boiled egg—what on earth was that?! The other dishes were just as bad as mine; we obviously didn't order dessert! Regarding the price, it's far too expensive for the quality and quantity served. We should have read other reviews beforehand, which would have allowed us to go somewhere else.

14/12/2025: While visiting the inn's website, I saw that the chef is looking for a successor, and I can confirm that it's time to pass the torch. Given that the menus seemed perfectly acceptable, we booked for seven people to celebrate a birthday. Upon arrival, we were surprised to learn that the chef was absent, busy with a catering job for the CCAS (local social services center). Therefore, the advertised menus weren't available, and we were offered the CCAS menu for €40 per person. We were disappointed but accepted. We were finally served... nothing extraordinary, far from it. No one ordered cheese, but we paid for it anyway. Oh well, we should have ordered some ourselves. Here are the desserts... probably mass-produced? Two people were planning to order chocolate cake from Metro, but unfortunately there was only one left, so one person had nothing, no cheese or dessert, and it still cost 40 euros... I don't mind paying for quality service, but in this case, I really regret wasting my money. Enjoy it while you can... we won't be back... Lamentable... Have a good retirement, as soon as possible...

28/10/2025: An unpleasant experience due to the manager's unfriendly service (special mention to the very pleasant young waiter), and the hot drinks served were outdated! As for the restrooms, they were extremely dirty and suffered from a lack of daily maintenance, particularly regarding the equipment, which has been neglected for several months... a place to avoid.

01/03/2026: Got charged 64 euros for a portion of chicken pieces with onion rings and 3 drinks xD said that there was something on the list I didn’t have and he said it was subtracted, did the maths after and apparently paid for a main and a beer I didn’t have. Great maths people

17/02/2026: Booked this place at the last minute as our other accommodation informed us they had bedbugs - obviously a common problem in Europe. Location was good, bus goes right past the door and the train station is about 5 - 10 minute walk away. Breakfast was basic but good, help yourself so no shortage. The room was fine no issues. We ate in the restaurant nearly every night, good value. A lot of the complaints seem to be about the building, it's a 150 years old so what do you expect? Staff were helpful, self check in which worked fine. It's a perfectly good place as long as you're not one of these moaners who what to pay bottom dollar and get 5 star service. I would happily stay here again.
