01/05/2026: Hotel on the edge of the city. Quiet and peaceful place. Rooms are not very big but comfortable.

15/04/2026: Hotel in an industrial area, quiet at night. Friendly and decent reception. Clean room, tiny bathroom! Breakfast was adequate but could be better. Still, I'd recommend the hotel if you're working or otherwise in the area.

13/08/2026: Very disappointed with the experience. We were seated at a table for two, but as it was incredibly hot, we simply moved to a table for four right next door to take advantage of the fan. There were several empty tables available. The young waitress came over to make it clear that this bothered her, in a rather unpleasant manner. Frankly, their customer service and hospitality left much to be desired. And given the prices, I expected better: an avocado toast with a bagged salad… For that price, I'd rather spend my money at a more welcoming and customer-friendly establishment. A shame.

02/07/2026: Restaurant in the center of the village of Gambsheim. Parking available in front. It's spacious and has a terrace at the back. The menu is very comprehensive, featuring meats, salads, pizzas, and tarte flambée. The latter two are cooked in a wood-fired oven. The waitress was very friendly. We opted for an Antipasti platter and an oriental pizza. The platter was excellent and very generously topped, but the pizza itself was so-so. The crust was very thin, like tarte flambée dough. I think they could do better. The pineapple carpaccio was excellent, but the strawberries with whipped cream could have been colder. A good place to eat.

29/06/2026: First visit to Au Vieux Fournil. Pleasant setting and warm welcome. Flammed tarts and pizzas. The same dough for both, which is unusual. The tarte flambée is slightly thick, while the pizza is thin, but both are very good. The tarte flambée filling is excellent, generously topped, resulting in a superb round tarte flambée served on a plate. The pizza has a thin crust, a very good tomato sauce, and toppings made with quality ingredients. In conclusion, the tarte flambée/pizza combination, using the same base, allows both to be made in the same oven, and the result is original and impressive. A delightful surprise. This restaurant is a great find; we will be back.

29/04/2026: I went home feeling sick. I sat down, exhausted. I went back outside, feeling refreshed and invincible. Was it the quality of the food? The owner's kindness? I don't know. But what's certain is that this kind of restaurant should be covered by health insurance.

21/05/2026: I've been coming here since I was 4 years old. Always delicious (lots of homemade marinades, perfectly grilled meat...) and the owner is always so friendly.

07/05/2026: The spices were amazing, chef! The kebab was so fresh, Chakal! Thanks for the extra cheese for 30 cents! However, the Coke was frozen solid, like a granita! See you at Châtelet at 6 PM to settle this.

03/08/2026: A real gem! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere made us feel at ease; we truly felt right at home. The chef, passionate and attentive to his customers, offers cuisine that took us on a journey across France, with authentic flavors and generous portions. You can taste the work behind each dish, especially since the ingredients come from local producers, which makes all the difference in freshness and taste. Another great feature: several options were available to accommodate dietary restrictions, which isn't always easy to find. Just one piece of advice: the restaurant is a victim of its own success, so be sure to book well in advance to guarantee a table! A huge thank you for this wonderful experience; we will gladly return. A must-try!

27/07/2026: We booked based on the Google rating, without having checked the website or learned anything about the restaurant's concept. Unfortunately, the quality of the food didn't seem to live up to the price and the restaurant's claims about using local producers and fresh, seasonal ingredients (in our case: mussels, shellfish, and rice swimming in sauce). The vegetables were mainly for decoration. Considering the price of €35 per person, we found the value for money particularly expensive and disappointing, with flavor combinations that we felt were rather disharmonious (e.g., a starter with lentils, salmon, foie gras, and two small slices of tomato). For a set lunch menu served on a weekday, this price seems very high. Even in very attractive cities like Dijon, Annecy, Biarritz, or Paris, you can find more affordable set lunch menus in this context. Furthermore, we regret the lack of transparency. The various steps involved—entering, sitting down, listening to an enticing presentation, and implicitly accepting a set menu—gradually drew us in. It was then difficult to back out. In our opinion, several essential pieces of information were missing: - no menu available for consultation, either outside or inside; - no price displays; - a price only provided because we asked; - a set menu (starter, main course, dessert) without clearly explaining that it was impossible, for example, to remove the dessert (for whatever reason). A gesture of goodwill would have been appreciated. We are sharing this opinion to inform future customers: if you book solely through Google, without consulting the restaurant's website, be aware that this is a particular concept that may not be suitable for you. Clearer signage on-site regarding the menu, prices, and the terms of the set menu would allow for a truly informed choice before being seated.

29/07/2026: Horrible experience. Ten of us arrived without a reservation, as it's impossible to contact them to book a table. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a horrible, elderly man with glasses, who curtly told us we had to wait an hour. We saw tables becoming available, so we asked twice if it was possible to push tables together. The obnoxious man told us to stop bothering them rudely. We waited for over an hour, treated like dogs by the entire staff, who pretended not to hear us when we called to order. I should mention that most of us were wearing headscarves, and this treatment was reserved solely for us.

16/08/2026: Highly recommended 👍 Quick service, approximately 10 minutes Delicious, well-spiced chicken 👌 It's just a few minutes' walk from the Air and Space Museum, and we were very refreshed!

28/07/2026: The service was extremely disappointing. The server was very rude, not a single smile, and had an unpleasant attitude from beginning to end. The chicken burger was truly awful: the chicken wasn't even cooked properly, which is completely unacceptable. Furthermore, the taste was very poor. A very bad experience. I absolutely do not recommend this restaurant.

26/12/2025: Order placed an hour ago, delivery was quick via Uber Eats. The €14 sandwich was served without the salad and tomato I requested. I'm still looking for the sauces because they were nowhere to be found, and the bread was completely white. In short, I work nearby, but I won't be ordering again.

23/07/2026: Lovely little bar. Good location in old part of the city centre, beautiful alleyway with the historic castle at the end of it. Very traditional feel. Would definitely recommend as a refreshment break when sightseeing. Staff were really friendly

03/05/2026: Terrible. During my visit, I purchased two beers in a single transaction in order to meet the €15 minimum payment requirement. I clearly informed the bartender that I would like to consume one beer immediately and return later for the second. This was acknowledged at the time. However, when I later returned to collect the second beer that I had already paid for, the bartender on duty refused to serve me. He insisted that I had not paid and demanded that I pay again. Despite my attempts to calmly explain the situation, he dismissed my explanation, appeared confused, and behaved in a manner that suggested he was not in a suitable condition to be serving customers. This resulted in me being publicly embarrassed in front of other patrons and denied a product I had already paid for. I find this situation unacceptable. I was refused service for an item I had already purchased. The staff member appeared unfit to perform their duties. The situation was handled in an unprofessional and disrespectful manner. I kindly request that this matter be reviewed, and that appropriate action is taken to ensure this does not happen to other customers. I would also appreciate a response regarding how you intend to address this issue.

12/06/2026: I used to go to Stan's often and even thought it was one of the best kebabs in the Puy-de-Dôme region. But charging extra for asking for a little more meat on a plate that's getting more and more expensive while you're putting less and less meat on it is outrageous. The meat quality has gone down, the bread that comes with it is disgusting, and I don't know where the ketchup comes from. The restaurant is crawling with flies, and I was sick all night. Honestly, this is the last time you'll see me in your establishment…
