04/11/2025: A warm, welcoming atmosphere imported from Portugal. Sunday lunchtimes are packed with families enjoying typical Portuguese dishes. The set menu is generous, simple, and delicious: starter, main course, dessert, and a quarter-liter of wine. The staff is incredibly attentive. Always happy to return.

02/10/2025: Apparently there's a change of ownership. Burnt fries, terrible service, no one comes to take their order. I prefer the old restaurant 1,000 times better.

23/09/2025: Very nice place, I highly recommend it. The service is excellent! It really makes you want to go back, friendly and warm atmosphere. If you want a good kebab, it is clearly the best in Vichy.

20/11/2025: We ate at Pizzeria de la Plaine last night, and even though we didn't order pizza, the food was absolutely delicious. Generous portions, fresh and well-prepared ingredients—we enjoyed every bite. The welcome was incredibly warm, the staff very friendly, and the atmosphere perfect for a family meal. The service was quick and attentive; no complaints whatsoever. A fantastic place we'll definitely be back to!

14/11/2025: La Pizzeria de la Plaine is a real gem! The kebab is delicious, made with fresh ingredients and perfectly cooked. The welcome is warm, the atmosphere friendly, and the service always smiling. You can tell the team puts their heart into every dish. Whether you're eating in or taking away, it's an excellent place not to be missed. I highly recommend it! 🍕✨

13/09/2025: A pleasant surprise. Welcome with a smile, and on the plate: local flavors beautifully showcased, especially if you like meat. The setting and garden are pleasant. The starter was more than adequate. We will gladly return.

07/09/2025: The welcome was not very warm, it's not ideal for large families. We didn't even have time to settle in before we already wanted to leave.

28/02/2026: The atmosphere and prices were fine. It's a shame the staff were unfriendly; perhaps they were just having an off day, we'll give them the benefit of the doubt.

17/02/2026: Very nice. A rich and varied menu with more affordable prices. It's really inexpensive for a student budget. However, it's a bit noisy, but that's part of the bar's atmosphere.

07/12/2025: We dined last night at Le Montaigu, nestled in the heart of the Domaine de la Bretesche, and the experience was simply exceptional. The six-course menu captivated us with the finesse and balance of the dishes. Each plate was exquisitely precise and refined, without ever feeling heavy, a characteristic sometimes associated with tasting menus. The wine pairings perfectly complemented the entire meal: the sommelier, despite being a recent addition to the establishment, demonstrated remarkable professionalism, excellent advice, attentiveness, and exceptional charm. A special mention must also go to the restaurant manager and his entire team, who created an atmosphere that was both elegant and relaxed. There was no pretentious ambiance, but rather a genuine spirit of conviviality, making the experience all the more enjoyable. A huge congratulations to the entire team for their superb work: we left with unforgettable memories and a definite desire to return. P.S. We would be delighted to receive the list of wines tasted during this dinner.

16/11/2025: Well, okay, so-so... Being used to fine dining, I expected better from this beautiful place, and above all, I thought the value for money would be there... The dining room is lovely but unoriginal, although the fireplace is very pleasant. The service is really lacking. The waitress reads from a note hidden on her tray to tell us what's in the dishes, and they often forget to refill our wine or bread, forcing us to ask for it. Big mistake! My friend is gluten intolerant, and they brought us the amuse-bouches with gluten in them! Luckily, we asked if they were gluten-free, otherwise it would have been a disaster... As a result, we waited a long, long time for the rest of the course. We drank our champagne to fill our stomachs; the wait between courses was far too long, and given the size of the portions, we got hungry again very quickly. The dishes were decent, some were better than others, but nothing exceptional. The second major mistake: no cheese! I, who rarely eat dessert, had no choice but to have one (citrus-flavored, which I don't particularly like...). We're in France, and in a region overflowing with diverse and varied cheeses; it's unthinkable not to offer something like that. What about someone with diabetes?! In short, my partner gave me this meal as a birthday present, and it was a bit of a disappointment that will be hard to get over. A small positive note for the head waiter and his helpfulness and kindness. The price was very high... even in Monaco, you don't pay that much for this kind of meal. Sorry, we won't be back... there are better options elsewhere, even though the setting is unique.

19/02/2026: We came to the restaurant for a meal and ordered the chef's menu. The quality was mediocre for the price: no seasoning, bland, overcooked fish, half-raw potatoes, and the presentation of the dishes was poor. For €38, we expected much better! ... This is a sincere review so that you can improve the quality.

31/12/2025: This is our second time dining at Les Vieux Arceaux, and this time it was for New Year's Eve. It was simply excellent! The quality of the food, its presentation, and the friendliness of the servers made for a wonderful New Year's Eve 🍾🥂, all at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend this place!

19/11/2025: Disgusted! €14.50 for the royal merguez and it's vomit-inducing... The merguez tastes weird and the meat tastes like it came from a day-old kebab shop. It's greasy and has a strange taste. I hope I don't get sick... You'd be better off closing down to avoid poisoning your customers... AWFUL! 🤢🤢🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮🤮

02/11/2025: Too expensive, I didn't even go in, the prices were so high. I thought it was a joke! At prices like that, I'd rather spend a little more and go to a restaurant.

08/01/2026: Absolutely terrible! The mussels from Sète were completely tasteless, probably pre-cooked and reheated. They were swimming in a bland cream sauce, even though I ordered moules marinières. Served with frozen fries… a real disappointment 😢 The service was courteous, efficient, and quick… well done! But as for the meal… avoid it!

01/01/2026: We came for dinner on December 31st, 2025 with our children. The staff was very pleasant and the waiter was very competent. The children's menu was very generous. The lamb shank was excellent and the mussels marinière had an exceptional sauce. Thank you for this wonderful experience and the view! Happy New Year to the whole team!

21/09/2025: It's been years since I've been there. Great service, thank you Mouloude for your welcome and professionalism. The mussels were excellent and, above all, piping hot, a real treat. I would happily return, and what's more, on Sundays they offer the all-you-can-eat mussels menu. We just learned it's closing, which is a real shame.

14/09/2025: We arrived at 9 p.m. We were asked to wait while they prepared the table (nothing unusual). When we sat down, the table was sticky, and above all, there were still mussels and other leftovers under it. So I warned the receptionist/bar staff member, who told us, with a bored expression, to wait and that they would prepare another table. The waitress rolled her eyes when her colleague asked her to do it... So we simply left, given the warm welcome (the first time we'd left a restaurant without having eaten there...)
