24/02/2026: Impeccable service, delicious galettes, crêpes, and croque monsieur/mrs. sandwiches. A lovely little sunny terrace; we ate there for three consecutive lunches and had absolutely no complaints—it was perfect! Excellent value for money. I highly recommend it! 10/10.

11/02/2026: We received a very warm welcome, and even though it was a bit cramped, we were very comfortable. The decor is superb and the food is really good. The toilets are small but clean (the place isn't wheelchair accessible due to the size of the premises, which isn't their fault).

15/11/2025: Family owned very friendly restaurant right on the lake. You can see Switzerland across the lake. Fish is highly recommended. They have an area for children to play outside seating perfect for a sunny day.

06/03/2026: A huge disappointment for us. We were seated in the conservatory next to a table of 12 very noisy English people, and unfortunately, the food wasn't up to the price either. The rib-eye steak was disappointing, and the ravioli were overcooked, too greasy, and drowning in a heavy sauce. The champagne was on par with a low-end sparkling wine. Only the two charming and understanding waiters took photos of our dishes to show the owner. There were five of us, including a child whose grenadine syrup was charged extra on top of the children's menu. We had an excellent meal last year; what happened in the last year?

05/03/2026: A fantastic meal for five with our friends. We were served by a charming waiter (according to my daughter 😉), thank you to him! Delicious fondue, succulent meat, and amazing desserts in a warm and inviting setting.

22/02/2026: Simply the best! Great beer, incredible food. The staff is so friendly and inviting. We stayed in Morzine for a week and ended up going there everyday for at least a drink if not a whole meal. Highly recommend!

19/03/2026: An unforgettable experience and incredible generosity! We had a wonderful time at Monchu. The atmosphere is warm and authentic; it's the perfect place to relax after a day in the mountains or even after a simple stroll through town. We shared a fondue: pure bliss! The portions were very generous, and we were more than satisfied. But what touched me most was the honesty and kindness of the staff. Being a bit absentminded, I left two rings there and had already left Chamonix by the time I realized. The staff were incredibly kind and agreed to mail them to me. It was an immensely kind gesture that meant the world to me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your hospitality and integrity. I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment!

01/12/2025: Either we went on a bad night, or the reviews are misleading; I don't recommend it. The prices are higher than elsewhere (€30 for a fondue)! The restaurant was indeed open for dinner on November 1st.

26/12/2025: I'm giving it 3 stars for the pleasant setting and the wine (Côtes du Rhône), which was good. Unfortunately, everything else was very average. The rib-eye steaks were tough, tasteless, and rather small. Furthermore, the bottle of wine was served without any prior tasting. For a Côtes du Rhône at €29, a tasting seems like the bare minimum. The value for money is clearly not there. An experience below expectations.

22/02/2026: Indoor picnic area much appreciated on less favourable weather days. Food is also exceptional value for the slopes and is basic but tasty. Great view of Mont Blanc on a clear day. Friendly staff.
