A final evening at La Réserve before returning to our beautiful island, with mouths full of delicious flavors and wonderful memories. 14/03/2026: The way they treat the customers is despicable. We tried to eat here în 2 occasions few days ago (we ve been a group of 9) but each time we ve been rudely (very unpolitely) refused without a good reason. Second time a guy called Ben told us that they cook only for 110 People even the capacity of the restaurant is of 83 places inside and 83 outside. Very arogant, Ben post himself in the doorframe to block our access, as if we wanted to rush inside! Guys, you have a lot of work to do on your behaviour! For fellow tourists: avoid La Reserve, go to La Cabane, Le Traino or to Les Fointanes Blanches and you ll not be dissapointed. They know a lot about good food and moreover about hospitality.

27/01/2026: I've been coming to Cluses every week for a few days for the past three months. I've had the chance to try many restaurants, and Le 8 Mai is my favorite. The service is courteous and quick, and the food is always excellent, if not exceptional. I have a particularly fond memory of an almond tart that was wonderfully balanced and incredibly subtle. Hats off to them. And on top of that, the prices are very reasonable.

27/08/2025: An absolutely unforgettable experience! Nestled in the heart of the Alps, this restaurant is a true gem. The view is breathtaking, each dish is a journey for the taste buds, and the welcome is as warm as it is sincere. You can feel the passion in each plate, fresh products enhanced with talent and creativity. I envy those who live nearby and can go there regularly... it's an address we would like to keep secret, but which deserves to be known to everyone.

24/02/2026: This was our 2nd time visiting this great restaurant and we booked ahead of our visit to Les gets this year as last time was excellent. The food this time was just as good as remembered, my Dad and I shared fondue and it was brilliant. The restaurant feels super authentic and cosy. We will definitely be going again when we visit again next year!

16/03/2026: My partner surprised me with a weekend getaway at the Black Bass, and it was a wonderful experience. The hotel is magnificent, ideally located with direct access to the lakeside promenade. Everything is beautifully designed and meticulously crafted: the decor is sophisticated and truly delightful. The room was very comfortable with perfect bedding for a wonderfully peaceful night's sleep! The staff, from reception to the housekeeping, are exceptionally kind and attentive, which made the stay even more enjoyable. We also thoroughly enjoyed our meal at the hotel restaurant, which was truly delightful. I also treated myself to a 50-minute couples massage, from which I emerged completely relaxed. The only slight drawback was the spa pool, which we found a bit chilly, preventing us from enjoying it as long as we would have liked. As I couldn't use the hammam or sauna due to health reasons, I didn't fully enjoy that area. Despite this, we had a very nice time (despite a rainy weekend) in this hotel which I gladly recommend.

11/03/2026: Wonderful and spacious room with a terrace overlooking the lake and mountains. Access from the garden to the lakeside promenade. Perfect dinner with a lake view. Excellent breakfast with a wide selection and, again, a lake view! Very warm welcome from the entire team at reception and in the dining room. Excellent massage. Spa with a 27°C pool (the only downside), sauna, and hammam. We highly recommend this hotel and will gladly return.

09/02/2026: We come to Pizza Bella so often, and we're never disappointed. The food is very good, the service is impeccable, and the staff (special mention to Rada ☺️) are very kind and helpful. 🫶🏻

06/02/2026: On Friday evening, the 6th, we went to Pizza Bella and had a wonderful time. The pizzas were delicious, especially the "Miss Italia," topped with smoked ham, arugula, tomatoes, and buffalo mozzarella. We also tried the "Get More," made with goat cheese and honey, and it was just as tasty. The service was warm and welcoming, and all in all, a fantastic culinary experience. We highly recommend it and will definitely be back to try other specialties.

08/03/2026: A promise of low prices in a village where prices tend to skyrocket. Delicious and generously filled crepes. With one savory and one sweet crepe, you'll leave feeling quite satisfied. And on top of that, they taste great.

02/03/2026: Very good sweet and savory crepes, generously filled. Only 3 out of 5 for the savory crepe, which isn't a buckwheat or wheat galette! It lacks the crispy edges of a buckwheat galette. Sorry, but I still prefer a real galette. Otherwise, the place and staff are pleasant.

05/03/2026: I thought this restaurant was fantastic at first. Then I went back twice recently (the first time because I wanted to go back... but I was disappointed, the second time to get over my frustration and disappointment... but it only got worse). What a shame, it was really very good a few years ago. But on my last two visits: the chanterelle and chestnut risotto, the rice tasted like water, and please don't mention chestnuts on the menu when there were three measly pieces on my plate. I told the waiter, who just replied with a "really?"... When a customer says she's not satisfied with her meal, can you say anything other than a simple "really?" Well, otherwise the service is friendly but not particularly professional… The lasagna was dry… I mentioned it to the waitress who just responded with "Oh really?" Apparently, feigned surprise is the hallmark here. The pizzas… they're okay if, like me, you're not particularly fond of pizza. They're passable… but for pizza lovers, I'd simply advise you to look elsewhere. The dining room is noisy, although the decor is charming. The large parking lot is convenient. When the bill arrived, it was so salty it almost made me throw up my risotto…
