16/01/2025: I should say this is a terrible place so that the "pearl of portes du soleil" could be preserved for the lucky few that know about it. But it doesn't feel right to say one bad word about this place even if that means you can keep it for yourself. That being said, this place is one of the best places to have dinner in the portes du soleil area, and it might even be the best in all over France! Here is why: - The owners Philip and Cecile are super friendly - The decent to the restaurant is one of the best especially when it is dark (that reminds me, bring a flashlight of some sort) - The food, especially the cheese and meat fondue are the most delicious i have ever had (accompanied with fresh fries and salad) - When ordering the cheese fondue (traditionally) they will add an egg to the last bit of the fondue which gives you a new dish - If you are sweet you'll get a home made chartreuse (if not just order one) - If you are not full at the end of your meal, you went to the wrong place. Good to know: The meat fondue is only available on week days as the butcher is closed in the weekends and they only serve fresh meat! Before you go: - Make sure you make a reservation by phone prior to your visit - Bring cash to avoid bank transfer hassle - Bring a flashlight with enough lumen - Hang your (ski) jacket outside - Make sure you enter with a positive mindset - Bring your singing voice as things might get musical After you leave: Tip Especially for Philip et Cecile: Merci d'avoir donné au monde cet endroit extraordinaire ! 26/08/2024: I've eaten quite a bit of ramen and the beef ramen here is up there with the very best. Broth = umami sensation | noodles = in-house made, perfect bite | beef = succulent, moist | soy egg = absolute banger of an egg! Whole package = welcome to flavour town! My fiance had the burger, I had a bite, and that bite was damn good! Drinks were fantastic, try the chicken salt mescal, and the double sour they had on tap. Service = ace, relaxed but attentive. Absolute winner of a spot.

06/09/2024: Great service. Heaping plates of French comfort food. All main dishes come with really good, crispy frites. The dining room is in a rustic old farmhouse and the location is enchanting. We would go again.

19/09/2024: Very nice stay! The hotel is well located, very well equipped: the relaxation area is superb, and the library provided is full of gems! Discreet but efficient staff, and charming hostess concerned about the well-being of customers! A flawless one for me!

24/08/2024: A very nice discovery. From reception to departure, a break during which we felt almost at home! A caring staff, a tastefully equipped and decorated room, a wellness area that feels good after a day on the road. And the dinner, like the breakfast, was just at the top: fresh products prepared with love… in short, an experience to repeat quickly! A big thank you to the whole team!
