17/04/2026: Beautiful place, beautiful view

24/02/2026: Well, we went in this restaurant in winter, so maybe that explains what follows and the positioning of the restaurant is different in summer. The service was friendly and efficient. The menu was rather limited, with only a few dishes proposed. These were not really original, one salmon-based, one meat-based, one poultry-based, and the local specialty “filets de perche” that all local restaurants propose. The dishes come only with French Fries or pasta, no vegetables proposed. The cooking was rather average, the fish was too salty, the poultry was overcooked. The meat was good, though. The corresponding prices are not average, though, more in line with something more “semi-gastro”. So alas, unfortunately a small disappointment, we expected better.

31/01/2026: The four-cheese fondue was a pleasure, but the four-white-wine fondue was so-so—too runny, tasting of white wine far more than cheese, and a ridiculously small portion considering the price and quality. I wonder if they think their customers are idiots. A tourist trap to avoid at all costs.

31/01/2026: Reservation made for 8:30 pm, table not available until 9 pm. They told me the problem was with their reservation system. An excuse they used last year, but we decided to try again. I ordered a dish of Diots (sausages) and was served smoked Montbéliard sausage, claiming they were local Diots. The Tartiflette recipe was really terrible; we prefer using crème fraîche instead of Reblochon cheese. The waiter was unpleasant and unprofessional. They offered no compensation for the wait. The prices were excessive for the quality of the food served. This is the last time I'll ever go there because they really treat us like fools.

18/04/2026: A sunny terrace, relaxed and friendly service, simple yet flawless dishes, a great time at the foot of Monte Bianco. Grazie.

17/04/2026: We went there with friends; a friend had recommended the restaurant because she used to go there a few years ago. The pizzas were very good, but the pasta carbonara was terrible, with a soapy aftertaste and undercooked guanciale. When we politely pointed this out to the waiter, he condescendingly asked if we had "ever eaten real pasta carbonara." The desserts were very good, if you ignore the waiters throwing pine cones and hot sauce at each other with other customers... When we left, only one of the waiters bothered to say goodbye. 20/04/2026: The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, perfect for a meal with friends or family. You feel comfortable and want to linger. I highly recommend this place, and I'll gladly return.

28/02/2026: Unbelievable. I sat down at a table for two next to a table for four that was just becoming available before I caught my bus, so I could grab a coffee. The waiter arrived. I politely asked for a coffee. He told me, "This is a table for six," as if it were perfectly obvious. A family arrived a little after me. So the waiter simply brushed me off without serving me or even trying to find a solution (which wouldn't have been difficult). Maybe I don't look rich enough to be honored with a coffee. How rude.

26/02/2026: Bare dead don’t recommend styll twusssss, We had raclette for £30 per person not worth as you get a bit of cheese with a tiny sauna + one of my man had rationed potatoes and another man had rationed shrimp, my man’s pizza was decent stylll

28/03/2026: Since the change in products, the quality has greatly suffered. It's no longer possible to choose how you want your burger cooked because the ground beef is frozen. The manager explains this decision by citing the increased price of meat, but I would have been willing to pay more even if it meant coming less often... I completely understand that a manager might not think that way, but I still think it's a real shame.

13/03/2026: Excellent food, great atmosphere, and generous portions.

15/03/2026: We came in as a group of five one evening by chance… the welcome was icy, the owner unpleasant and uninviting. He gave us the menu in a rush, took our order hastily, and cleared our table quickly. And to top it all off, it was 7:15 pm and they were out of burrata—unbelievable! And then, he picked his nose right in front of us with his phone and sat down opposite us with a glass of wine. We won't be back!

13/11/2025: What a shame! I tried to play along by buying a jar of foie gras for 63 Swiss francs, which is three times the price in France, at the household arts fair in Geneva. I'm really disappointed...

26/04/2026: This was our second visit to this restaurant and we're still not disappointed. The service and food were excellent, and to top it all off, the owners are very friendly!

10/05/2026: Fantastic experience at the abbey. The "Monk" rooms are incredibly comfortable, and the building's architecture has been carefully preserved and showcased. The restaurant is amazing, the breakfast is incredibly generous, and the outdoor setting is exceptional... 👍 + Impeccable service!

10/05/2026: We had a wonderful weekend at Talloires Abbey. The building is beautifully renovated and presented, the service is impeccable, and the on-site parking is a huge plus. The bedding is perfect. The breakfast buffet is delicious with many homemade products. We left with stars in our eyes and we will be back!

29/03/2026: After a long night of babysitting, I stopped by early in the morning on March 28th and 29th, 2026, and it was definitely worth it! The chocolate marble cake is a real treat, and the saleswoman is very friendly, welcoming, and professional. Quality products and a great welcome—I highly recommend it!
