25/04/2026: A wonderful discovery! We came to the Estaminet for dinner as a family. The decor is lovely, the photos on the walls and the menu give the place a warm and nostalgic feel. The staff is incredibly friendly, everyone is attentive to the customer, we felt very comfortable, and the food is absolutely delicious. We had a wonderful evening. Thank you!

21/04/2026: Extremely disappointed with this restaurant. Despite having a reservation for 9:30 pm on a Saturday, we had to wait at least 45 minutes before being seated at a table that wasn't even set. Since there were no menus, we consulted the menu on their website to save time. Once served, we found that the pasta shells were extremely dry, which is unacceptable given the price. Furthermore, we had to take care of part of the service ourselves: fetching water, waiting in vain for the dessert menu for over 15 minutes, and finally ordering our desserts directly at the bar, where part of the order was forgotten. To top it all off, the manager and two employees were arguing openly in front of the other customers. Fortunately, a waiter tried to make up for these numerous shortcomings.

09/04/2026: I had a wonderful time at this restaurant. The welcome was warm, as were the staff and the ambiance, making for a very pleasant experience. As for the food, the quality was excellent and the portions generous. The tartiflette was particularly delicious! I highly recommend this establishment: the setting is beautiful and you feel right at home.

04/05/2026: Excellent, very friendly restaurant in the heart of the countryside. From beef tartare to whole sea bass, not forgetting the Savoy cheese ravioli, everything is a delight! I was there with my family and it was a wonderful discovery 🤩

03/05/2026: The service was very slow, and drinks arrived after the main courses. The Savoyard burger, ordered well-done, arrived rare with little to no cheese, and three gratinéed tartares with fries were served five minutes later. Other dishes were good (duck breast).

12/03/2026: The stay started off very well, with very pleasant staff. Special mention goes to the valet, who was excellent. Unfortunately, the last night was ruined by a very early morning wake-up call due to the fire alarm being triggered by someone smoking. As a reminder, smoking in public places is prohibited under Article L3512-8 of the French Public Health Code. Given the circumstances surrounding the alarm and the inconvenience caused to the guests, a gesture of goodwill would have been appreciated. Unfortunately, nothing was offered. It's a shame, because the stay deserved a good, even very good, rating. This incident ultimately leaves a very mixed impression.

12/10/2025: A must-see during my motorcycle trips in neighboring France, what more can I say than... Friendly staff and excellent food, like the magnificent rack of lamb cooked to perfection, an exquisite wild garlic sauce, roasted squash, and delicious fries. The little blueberry tiramisu is a delight for the taste buds. I highly recommend the daily specials.

09/10/2025: I didn't try the food but I stopped for a beer on the way down from Lake Peyre. The staff are very friendly and attentive, making sure we don't miss anything!

The place possesses that rare charm of truly lived-in spaces. A warm, understated Savoyard décor, where wood, materials, and atmosphere combine to create a coherent, almost comforting whole. You don't simply enter a restaurant… but an atmosphere. A genuine one. The welcome, for its part, fully contributes to this feeling. A natural conviviality, a sincere closeness, the impression of being received more as a guest than as a mere customer. A family atmosphere in the truest sense of the word, one that soothes rather than stifles. But perhaps the most remarkable aspect is the respect for local culinary traditions. In an era where so many establishments strive to modernize, reinvent, or deconstruct to excess, it's almost reassuring to see a restaurant fully embrace its identity. Savoyard cuisine doesn't need reinvention when it's prepared with integrity. And that evening, it was. You leave L’Étable du Savoyard with that now rare feeling: that of having shared a genuine, simple, warm, and profoundly human experience rooted in the land.

09/05/2026: On holiday in Chatel for a week, having come from Normandy, we loved having lunch at this restaurant on the terrace with the perfect sunshine... Savoyard fondue for two with a charcuterie platter and salad... Delicious! A fantastic team with excellent service. I highly recommend it! A must-try! 😍😍

03/04/2026: We highly recommend this establishment! The atmosphere was quite calm during our visit, but everything is very well managed, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. A big thank you to the waitress—probably the owner's daughter—for her warm welcome, as well as to the young man who was handling the outdoor service, always smiling. A special mention goes to this young waiter, who was truly very friendly and pleasant: he served us and greatly contributed to our wonderful experience. We will gladly return this summer, hoping to see the same team again and share another enjoyable moment. Thank you so much for your hospitality and service!

29/04/2026: We're familiar with this franchise, but this is the first time we've been so disappointed. Upon arrival, we were told we needed to eat quickly. The service was reasonably good. At the end of our meal, we went to the register to pay the bill and saw one of the staff members running outside, thinking we had left without paying. We're not from the area, but back home, that's not how we're treated.

27/04/2026: Well, extremely disappointed. My server was very nice, but there's absolutely no organization in this restaurant. Let me explain. Small terrace closed. No big deal. I wasn't in a hurry, and it was getting dark. A carafe of water was offered immediately, which was nice. Then disaster struck: my order didn't include a drink, and I was charged extra for the egg in the tartare. The dish itself was good quality, but there were no utensils. I had the spices, but not salt and pepper. A dish arrived for another table in front of me, a garnish fell on the floor, an employee put it back on the plate, which was then taken to the customer's table. No dessert, no coffee. I wanted to leave. I had to ask for the bill three times. Frankly, I didn't have a good time. I'm done. Note to management: the staff is really nice, but they should hire more professional waiters. It's a shame.
