Diner en terrasse à l'arrière du restaurant dans un cadre très agréable. Le plateau de fromage pour les amateurs vaut largement le détour... Je recommande.

28/01/2026: The rustic wooden atmosphere with smoking saucison and meat was cosy and homey. We ordered the 59chf set meal where each plate from starter to the main - crispy roast pork belly was so good yet juicy. I had the fish dumpling with lobster sauce that comes with a mini risotto as my main so very tasty and unique. For dessert, if you opt in, you will go to the buffet style table to fetch your dessert, fun! Will come back for other dishes. Suggest to book in advance🥘🍖🥟🍴🇫🇷

08/12/2025: Warning: things are definitely going downhill! We used to frequent this restaurant and were never disappointed...until our last visit! Indeed, we returned to this restaurant on Saturday, December 6th, in the evening. There were five of us. We were seated in the Veranda section, in a corner where we had a constant, cool draft on our backs. Not very pleasant. I ordered the poached eggs in red wine sauce and the guinea fowl supreme with truffle jus, specifying that I only wanted the gratin as a side dish. The poached eggs in red wine sauce were acceptable. I'm posting a photo here as proof of my visit. However, the main course, the guinea fowl, arrived with a mountain of vegetables. When I pointed this out to the owner, she thought it clever to laugh it off rather than send it back to the kitchen to correct my order. Beware: this is the kind of attitude that loses customers! Being with family and not wanting to make anyone uncomfortable, I didn't insist. I wouldn't recommend this "supreme of guinea fowl" dish to anyone! There was absolutely no truffle flavor, or if there was, it was Chinese truffle! The meat was dry, clearly overcooked or reheated. The side dish? A kind of so-so purple cauliflower and an inedible broccoli and pea puree, the kind you'd expect from a home cook. That left the potato gratin medallions: exactly the same ones you can buy frozen in packs of four at the Auchan in Seynod! Same size, same taste. Yuck! For dessert: a gourmet coffee. I should have taken pictures: nothing like the lovely presentations I photographed, which I'm leaving with this comment for posterity, back in August 2020! I was served a haphazardly arranged plate with pieces of rum baba, whipped cream, and half a coffee éclair... I tasted the Savoyard fondue my daughter had chosen... Being a Savoyard by birth and heritage, I know perfectly well how to make fondue myself... without cornstarch... and there was cornstarch in this place... a lot! In short, I'm stunned by the decline in quality of this restaurant: from 2020 to 2025, it went from a remarkable establishment to a dive only good for sloppy, uninspired fare. The conclusion is therefore obvious: I won't be going back.

04/02/2026: I loved the Cocote D'abondance...it was hearty, just the way I like it, but not exactly diet-friendly, a bit too rich in fat... But I ate it all anyway. Impeccable service.

20/01/2026: A rip-off. We came as a family of two adults and two young children (5 and 7 years old) on a Saturday at lunchtime. We were sold the daily special without being told the price and were forced to order one dish per child. €26 for a portion of couscous, which wasn't anything special and had very little meat. The dishes were not worth the price, and the service was very cold. We felt like we were bothering them! Avoid this place.

22/12/2025: A lovely establishment with a long-standing reputation, comfortable dining room, pleasant staff, inventive and sometimes surprising cuisine, but the cooking of meat and fish wasn't quite right this time. And the dishes were lukewarm. A shame... Nevertheless, it's still a good place to eat.

09/11/2025: Without hesitation, my favorite stop during my vacation with my partner in September. We had planned two nights at Feto's Airbnb and ended up staying four. Thibaud is welcoming, warm, and resourceful! He helped us with our hiking routes. We also took a tour with his father to learn about his work making Abondance cheese. I highly recommend this place. During our meals at Feto, which were always delicious, we enjoyed chatting with other vacationers or locals, all of whom were very friendly. The gentleman who manages the service is also very kind. 16/09/2025: Nothing to complain about. The food is great, the owner is very attentive. The room is simple but comfortable. Just the waiter is a bit weird, no, I'm joking, he's super nice and full of humor. I highly recommend it. An address that I'll keep in mind. Good luck to you.
