09/08/2026: We made a last-minute reservation for 20 people. Everything was perfectly organized, the food was delicious and arrived quickly. The staff was very friendly and the service was excellent. There was live music in the evening, and we had a wonderful time. Highly recommended; we felt right at home! 😍

The owner and her staff, both front and back of house, are fantastic. The welcome is warm and friendly, and the meal is a very pleasant experience. A great place, excellent value for money.

08/07/2026: We ate on the terrace and loved it. The staff were very attentive and helpful; given the heat, they even brought us a spray bottle (so sweet!). The food was excellent; we had the set menu for €19.50, and I highly recommend it!

28/03/2026: We were very happy with our visit to Le Grand Cry. The food was delicious, and the waitresses were very pleasant and smiling. There was just a slight wait between courses and to pay, but we will definitely be back.

29/07/2026: A decent vegan dish, clearly marked as such; the crumble is also vegan (without the ice cream). Their burger recipe has changed; it no longer contains mushrooms, which is a shame. However, adding 5 euros for a "standard" burger if you want to replace the meat with a non-vegan patty is frankly outrageous. I'm not deducting a star, though, because if the restaurant didn't offer any vegan options, I wouldn't have gone, so I don't want to lower their rating when they deserve credit for this. Welcome to Chamonix, where, like everywhere in France, vegan options are unfortunately very limited. Other areas for improvement: the menu is initially in English, with the French translation in italics—well, we are in France, after all... The restaurant's presentation is also initially only in English (without translation). Furthermore, the website's constantly popping up reservation form is quite irritating when you just want to look at the menu. Thank you anyway for your vegan offer and best of luck!

29/07/2026: In my personal opinion, we ordered a beef burger. The taste was average, but the fries were nice and dry. Their service was very nice and friendly. 🌹

18/05/2026: Really not great. The hot chocolate is good, but it's lukewarm/cold, there are no menus, and the drink selection is far, far too limited. Two stars for the location, but that's where the praise ends.

20/07/2026: Dirty bathrooms, unisex while you're urinating, women walk in and see you in your private moments, the waitress is incredibly rude and unpleasant, the tallest and most obese waiter, who seemed to be the manager or owner, gets angry because we tell him he lists a price on the menu and he wants to charge us more for not being French, and he yells at us. A packet of Lays brand fries for 7.50, beers for 9—we don't mind, we're used to spending money on our trips, but at least there should be quality, good service, and cleanliness of the premises and toilets.

24/06/2026: A really great bar! The atmosphere is friendly and the setting very pleasant, perfect for spending quality time with friends. There's a good selection of snacks to go with the drinks. The real bonus: the many activities offered on site, such as darts, billiards, and pétanque, which make the experience even more enjoyable. An excellent place to relax and have fun!

Whether you arrive on foot or by car, this place should be on your list. We'll definitely be back as soon as we're in Megève again... Have a wonderful season everyone! 😉

22/07/2026: We very much enjoyed lunch at L'Equisse. We had, respectively, the three and four course set menus for midweek lunch, which are good value. Rather oddly, you're not told what the courses actually are until they arrive, though you can choose meat or fish, and they screen rigourously for allergies. The food was tasty, fresh, and made inventive use of seasonal ingredients. There's a good, very affordable list of aperitifs and wines. Service is friendly and prompt and staff speak English. We found the three course menu was pretty filling when you factor in the pre and post meal amuses bouches; I'm not sure we could have handled the six course menu, let alone the nine (from fellow diners it didn't seem like the course sizes were reduced in any way). The only slight let down was the very hushed atmosphere, a bit like eating in a library. Good for a very quiet intimate conversation, but not very lively or convivial. Still, the food and service would certainly draw us back.

21/07/2026: We took the 6 course which was plenty of food. Delicious, vibrant, full of taste, not pretentious and yet fun and creative. It’s not our first time in a 1-star and we thought they deserve it.

06/08/2026: I'm speechless, it's an incredible place that I highly recommend. You can have a drink and a meal with a view of Mont Blanc. The staff is exceptional; a huge thank you to Ilona, ​​she's welcoming, always smiling, she's wonderful and made our time unforgettable. Having been back twice in a row, I can't wait for the third time! Honestly, thank you so much!

24/07/2026: Dame Blanche ice cream sundae for €12: 1 small scoop of chocolate ice cream, 1 small scoop of vanilla ice cream, 2 tiny pieces of meringue at the bottom of the sundae, a few drops of chocolate sauce, and a mountain of whipped cream: expensive for so little, even if the ice cream was very good. No napkins... A little disappointed

07/08/2026: A very nice establishment, warm welcome, and dedicated parking for takeaway pizzas. Consider going down to the lake to enjoy your pizzas at sunset. Be aware that parking can sometimes be tricky.

17/07/2026: Discovered after our hike up La Colombière with my partner, I had a small Mont Blanc blueberry beer as an aperitif. For our main course, we ordered the Yeti burger, and it was absolutely amazing! Definitely one of the best burgers I've ever had! Especially with the Reblochon sauce! 😋 For dessert, we had blueberry tart and blueberry tiramisu—simply delicious! It makes you want to come back and try something else.
