09/09/2026: Meadows, a calm river, the Helpe Mineure, a fisherman casting his line, a terrace bordering this tranquil water, a warm welcome, unparalleled kindness, succulent dishes, tender and flavorful meat—Auberge des Prés truly has everything to charm visitors to this beautiful region who are fortunate enough to discover this understated, authentic restaurant with its undeniable expertise. Thank you, we had a very pleasant time. The duck parmentier was delicious, the ribeye steak perfect. I recommend it 100%.

08/09/2026: Not to be missed. Small terrace by the water and excellent meal prepared by a highly experienced chef who is passionate about his work.

17/09/2026: I visited this restaurant at least 20 times during my year-long stay in Dunkirk. Located right in front of Dunkirk Harbor, this popular brasserie is open, stylish, and inviting. The spacious, bright interior and terrace seating offer refreshing views of the harbor. The menu is extensive, ranging from traditional French cuisine to local Northern French specialties. The menu is rich, and of course, they have a great selection of wines. My personal recommendation is the beef tartare; the fresh beef is perfectly seasoned and absolutely delicious. The staff are warm and friendly, making it the perfect place to enjoy a leisurely lunch during your sightseeing. In my opinion, it's the best restaurant in Dunkirk. I will definitely go back the next time I visit Dunkirk!

28/07/2026: Pleasantly surprised by the Flemish carbonnade. The food is great and the servers are attentive and super friendly.

30/07/2026: We had a wonderful evening, the food was delicious, and we received the warm welcome that people from the North of France are known for. The roasted razor clams, calamari fritters, and cod loin were excellent. It's a shame we weren't hungry enough for dessert, but they looked amazing. We'll be back!

20/07/2026: Very well located, you can sit in the shade under the trees when it's very hot. We came as a group and ordered several meals. The service was very good. It would be nice to have peanuts or something else served with the aperitif. The fries that come with the dishes are a bit off-putting with the peels. It's true that cooking takes time, but peeling them would be a quality improvement. I know it's not easy these days, customers are demanding! But sometimes you have to be willing to question yourself. Seriously, perhaps a customer satisfaction survey to see what customers think?

13/09/2026: We arrived just before the kitchen closed, but the welcome was friendly and professional. We were told we could only order one main course and one dessert, so there were no surprises. The meat was excellent, and the cooking time was perfect. The desserts were generous and of good quality. The dining room was rather quiet given the late hour of our visit, but it was steeped in history (we're not from the area). The service was pleasant and not rushed. The prices are reasonable for this type of establishment. Thank you for a lovely, relaxing dinner for two.

12/09/2026: Disappointed with our visit. We come several times a year, and although we've noticed the service isn't what it used to be lately, we came again this evening. The waiter was incredibly unpleasant. He put down our plates and then left immediately. Not a word, nothing. We even thought he was coming back with bread. Nope. Besides, we had to ask for the bread several times. It's no longer what the brasserie used to be. What a shame.

12/09/2026: The restaurant was incredibly dirty, with paper, fries, and trash on the floor, and uncleaned tables. I do not recommend it.

10/08/2026: Good food, a bit pricey. The establishment refuses to serve tap water. On the covered terrace, smokers can... smoke 🤷🤷🤷.

17/09/2026: We came to have lunch at this establishment and, unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. Upon arrival, the waiter didn't say a word to us, not even a hello. When taking our order, the owner then had the nerve to say, "Wow, you eat a lot," a remark we found particularly inappropriate and unpleasant. For our starter, we ordered focaccia with burrata as an extra. When the dish arrived, the burrata was compact and had a sharp taste, which seemed to indicate that it was no longer edible. We pointed this out to the owner. His response, and I quote: "No, that's normal, it's burrata. I'm not inside, I can't know, we buy it like that." Beyond the quality of the product, it was primarily the way our comment was handled that disappointed us. We were simply waiting for a product that seemed questionable to be checked and for a solution to be offered. This experience has left us with a very negative impression, both in terms of the reception and the service, and the way our complaint was handled.

26/07/2026: A wonderful discovery. From the amuse-bouche to the coffee, everything was good, as was the service.

21/07/2026: A very good dinner; we ordered set menus with different courses. The beef fillet was excellent, the only slight drawback was the pollack, which was a little dry, but overall we were very satisfied. We'll definitely be back.

22/06/2026: I first came here for drinks, then to work later, and now I enjoy it whenever I'm in Lille! Fantastic bar, great selection of drinks, friendly owners, efficient servers, a big thank you to Zoé and her cheerful disposition! I highly recommend it!
