20/05/2026: Nothing like the previous owners. Disappointed by the service, which lacked smiles and friendliness. An unpleasant remark was made when we asked for one plate for the sharing platter for four. We received two plates! The staff seemed overwhelmed. The fries were good, the Welsh rarebit was generous but too salty. Something was missing. We left unsatisfied. The restrooms weren't great, and the hand dryer was ineffective.

19/05/2026: As frequent restaurant diners, we wanted to try something new by visiting this Flemish tavern. We took advantage of our trip to order some Flemish specialties. This experience quickly turned into a nightmare… a poorly presented (and chipped) plate, and disgusting food. We mentioned it to the staff, who took it lightly with a smile… obviously, we made a hasty exit. This rip-off cost us €75 without an aperitif or dessert. Try it for yourself… lol. 13/06/2026: Friendly staff and prompt service, but the food could be a bit better. It wasn't bad, but it could certainly be a lot better. The hamburger was more raw than cooked, and the portion of the lamb skewer was rather small and bland. A shame, because there is so much more in it.

13/06/2026: Received a very friendly welcome and received good/fast service. The food was substandard... a pity because it has a lot of potential. We did have a lovely evening in the sunshine on the cozy terrace at the back.

22/05/2026: We came in April and loved it. The Welsh rarebit and carbonnade were excellent, great value for money. You need to book in advance as it's often full. We highly recommend it and we'll be back.

11/03/2026: For me, one of the best burgers in Lille. I always get the Denver and I'm never disappointed. Great taste, fresh ingredients, and a reasonable price. I go back regularly with pleasure. The fries are good too. As for desserts, I don't know, I never get them. The dining area is a bit small, though. Edit: I was saddened to learn of the closure. I'm gutted. Best of luck to the whole team.

26/06/2026: It was a huge disappointment for us that evening; none of the four of us were satisfied with our meal. The baked Camembert was overcooked and inedible and had to be sent back to the kitchen. There was practically no side dish, despite the €20 price tag. At that price, quality should be a given. A platter meant for two... not even enough for one person to eat from. And I should point out that this platter was intended for one person, not four, since we each ordered a main course. It was mostly bread, and a few tiny pieces of filet mignon, just like the Camembert. And that's not all. Nothing lived up to the standards of a traditional Flemish bistro. We had come to discover this place for a friend's concert. What a shame. We won't be back. We even preferred to have dessert elsewhere.
