02/08/2026: The food was superb, we loved it. The place is beautiful in its understated elegance, with comfortable tables and lovely tableware. The portions were just right, the cooking was perfect, the sauces and sides were impeccable, and the meat was melt-in-your-mouth tender. Unfortunately, the wine list, which we know is unusual, had many unavailable selections, and the waiter/sommelier was unremarkable.

The servers are friendly and attentive to the customers; they're young but great! 😀 The quality is affordable, and we often return with friends and family. I highly recommend it. Young Kassia is a smiling and attentive waitress who makes for a pleasant evening. The staff deserves praise from both us and the management.

16/05/2026: Good food with fresh produce, top-notch staff, and our waitress (Eva) was incredibly attentive. The only slight drawback is that perhaps sunshades could be installed on the upstairs windows, which get extremely hot when the sun is shining directly in your face. Also, perhaps some stretched canvas could be used to dampen the noise from downstairs that rises to the dining area and prevents us from hearing each other when we're on the mezzanine.

06/08/2026: Restaurant in Eschau. Large parking lot in front of the restaurant. Spacious indoor dining room and also a large outdoor terrace. Very busy, with many regulars. The waitresses are smiling and friendly. Plenty of choices, including the daily special and set menus. I opted for an Alsatian salad which was excellent, although there were a lot of raw vegetables and not much Gruyère cheese. It wasn't the Alsatian salad I was used to. A minor complaint about the beer (€11.60 for 50cl!!!!!) and the cappuccino (lots of whipped cream and not much coffee). Good place to eat in Eschau

09/07/2026: The food is excellent, and the service, both in the dining room and the dishwashing, is impeccable. Unfortunately, the experience is spoiled by the behavior of Jacques, the bartender. He is particularly unpleasant, and his attitude ruins the restaurant's atmosphere. When working in customer service, a minimum of professionalism, respect, and courtesy is expected. A more pleasant way of speaking to customers would make a real difference. Furthermore, he is rarely seen leaving his bar during the evening. On the other hand, he is easily overheard talking loudly with the brunette waitress about matters that have no place in front of the customers. This lack of discretion detracts from the restaurant's ambiance. It's a real shame, because the quality of the food, the service, and the dishwashing deserve to be highlighted.

09/07/2026: I don't recommend it. Avoid at all costs. Mold in the bathroom, dirty towels with chewing gum, inability to lock the window in the room = risk of theft, and a very rude and unpleasant owner. A terrible experience. This is no way to run a business.

05/07/2026: We stayed overnight for a rest. For a 2 star hotel, it's a nice hotel with an Italian restaurant. Not far from the autobahn (10km). There's a wonderful bakery nearby.
