03/04/2026: I was quite cautious when booking the refuge because various reviews had been mixed. But it turns out the owner has changed, and the quality and hospitality are back! We had absolutely no complaints, quite the opposite! Just one thing to keep in mind: it's not a typical "CAF" (French Alpine Club) refuge, but rather a hostel-style refuge. So you pay more, but the quality is also superior (showers, pool table, rooms, etc.).

29/03/2026: We stayed at the Refuge du Roc with a group of 12 plus 2 guides for a star-shaped ski touring trip. The refuge was a perfect base camp! The climb from Pralognan is a good warm-up but quite accessible to all levels of skiers. The refuge is perfectly equipped, notably with a games room (pool table, darts, video projector), a sauna, and a Nordic bath, which make après-ski very enjoyable! The cook was super friendly, the service impeccable, and the meals delicious.

28/04/2026: We were celebrating my parents' 60th wedding anniversary and we weren't disappointed. The meal was excellent. The service was very pleasant and the vanilla-pistachio tiered cake for dessert was delicious. A wonderful time with family. Thank you.

30/03/2026: I gave my son a cooking class for his 17th birthday. It was a fantastic experience, a total immersion in a professional kitchen. The chef and his staff are very friendly and explain things well. The meal was excellent!!! We had a great time! 😁😁

30/03/2026: A very beautiful restaurant with first-class food and excellent service. You are personally greeted by the owner – a very elegant and warm lady. You receive several amuse-bouches from the kitchen: one as a welcome, one after you've chosen your dishes, one with dessert, and even truffles when you pay... you are pampered from start to finish. The ambiance is lovely, decorated with Easter flair and a very charming touch. The dishes are unique and everything is absolutely delicious. Of course, it comes at a price, but it is entirely justified.

06/04/2026: Easter lunch. This establishment is peaceful, the staff is incredibly attentive, and the cuisine is exceptionally rich and diverse. We try to come at least once a year. Come and you'll be captivated by the place and your taste buds will be delighted.

20/04/2026: Lots of local, often organic products, with a real focus on ingredient quality—unlike many places that cut corners to increase their profit margins. The dishes are fresh, and you can tell they're prepared that very day. The welcome is very friendly and warm. The back terrace is really lovely when it's not too crowded: cozy, with a very summery atmosphere, birds, bees, and a peaceful, natural feel thanks to the option of coming outside of peak hours. A great find! 🙏🏽

22/04/2026: Wannabe Irish pub. Bartender doesn't seem to know English. I asked for an "Irish red ale" and he looked stumped, pointing at the board. Turns out I had to order a "Rousse". The place is dirty and doesn't look nice. Go to Loch Ness bar instead!

26/02/2026: We just left the restaurant, our eyes (and stomachs) sparkling with delight. Impeccable service from a lovely and very helpful team. Less than 10 minutes between courses, perfect timing, and delightful little touches (special mention for the birthday cake and candle for my partner – we were so touched). The dishes are delicious, perfectly balanced, light, and flavorful. The blend of flavors is sophisticated and very enjoyable; there's inventiveness, a touch of daring, and a lot of taste. We had the tasting menu at €77, and honestly, the price is completely justified – go for that incredible lobster! Truly a wonderful discovery, a very dedicated chef (thank you for the ginger pineapple recipe), and impeccable service. Bravo ✨ and thank you!

18/03/2026: A moment suspended in time. We had a magnificent experience, with the truffle being prepared to perfection, and simple ingredients like duck, bell pepper, and cod being showcased beautifully. Even the dessert was magical. We lost track of time, and the owner kindly reminded us that we had a train to catch. Definitely an address to remember if you appreciate quality ingredients prepared with care.

08/03/2026: A superb place not to be missed! The owner is very professional, funny, and friendly. He gives excellent advice and explains the dishes and drinks perfectly. The food is excellent and homemade—with a special mention for the Basque cake and the crème brûlée! Thank you for everything; we had a wonderful evening!
