14/08/2024: Als je bij een Italiaans restaurant gaat eten verwacht je minstens een pasta geserveerd te krijgen dat niet doorkookt is en al dente is. Niet dus! Heb het aangegeven aan de bediende, die liet weten dat het omwille van de constante personeelswissel was in de keuken en daarmee moest ik het doen! Dus als men zijn keuken slecht beheerd mag men slecht eten serveren.

28/07/2024: Excellent repas dans ce restaurant italien à l'ambiance très sympa ! Le service est rapide et souriant, la cuisine est délicieuse, pleine de saveurs et copieuse. Mention spéciale pour la pinsa, dérivée de la pizza, originale et très bien garnie !!

28/08/2024: First of all, a great welcome, a smiling waitress and attentive cook. Then, we enjoyed the bougnettes and the meal was really very hearty. Very good value for money. We highly recommend!

10/07/2024: Un restaurant de montagne qui a su sur quelques années maintenir son statut d’endroit agréable tant la nourriture se distinguait de nombre de restaurants de montagne que je compare souvent à des restaurants gastro par le prix et à des cantines par ce qui est servi. Ce qui ne signifie pas que les prix sont raisonnables au « hors-pistes » mais la prestation est plutôt agréable et l’endroit de qualité. En revanche, en ce mois de décembre 2023 j’ai été surpris par l’obligation de payer une bouteille d’eau. Souhaitant ne boire que de l’eau je pensais obtenir très naturellement une carafe d’eau et c’est là que la serveuse m’indique qu’il y a un problème de qualité de l’eau. En un mot quelle est impropre à la consommation. Cela peut arriver, mais dans de telles circonstances comment peut on faire payer 7 euros 50 un litre d’eau en bouteille ? Plus surprenante est l’absence de panneaux indicateurs de non portabilité dans les toilettes et notamment au niveau du lavabo (voir photos). La simple mention du non fonctionnement du robinet pour un lavabo ne saurait suffire si l’eau est véritablement impropre à la consommation. Bref, cela m’a particulièrement déçu sans parler des incohérences notamment celle que je rappelais au niveau des toilettes. Je forme le vœu que la situation soit réglée et qu’il ne s’agisse pas d’une manœuvre pour faire payer l’eau. En attendant mon prochain passage… Et bon appétit bien sûr.

29/04/2024: Un petit restaurant de village ,authentique bistrot avec son ambiance de village et ces joies ouvrières de fin de semaine.cuisine terroirs bien chez nous .prenez le temps de découvrir cette endroit où le temps c’est arrêté pour le bonheur de la nostalgie du temps qui passe trop vite. Je recommande…….

05/03/2024: I've been skiing here for ten years and I always go back to this place at lunch time. Every day. Table 12. Go there early (12h00) before the invasion and the inevitable service complications. The staff is always friendly and does its best to cover your needs. The food is good and their plat du jour never disappointed my reasonably high standards, and the prices are comparable to the other restaurants of the domain. My two teenagers were always happy, so that's a additional reference. Encore merci pour tout et à l'année prochaine!

23/02/2024: We arrived as a group of 5 and the restaurant was empty. They seated us quickly enough and served us our drinks and meals quickly, but as soon as the restaurant started filling up they ignored us completely and we had to wait 45 minutes and ask three different waiters to order dessert but they never came. when we then went to pay at the till we stood there for ten minutes while the cashier saw us and ignored us, until we had to ask if it was the right place to pay. we then asked if we could split the bill and he rolled his eyes at us and sighed. overall not a positive experience. food wasn’t even that good.

11/09/2024: Very delicious for lunch, as for the coconut and red mushroom cake, the way they are presented is beautiful, but the taste is very ordinary.

11/09/2024: French onion soup was amazing. Came back twice for it. We just did lunch and all of the food was all really good. Service was a struggle, not sure if they were understaffed or what but it was just painfully slow.

09/09/2024: Had dinner here (also staying at the hotel) at the start of autumn right after their crazy summer period, and had a good time. The food was excellent and there was a free flow of bread and butter (the bread was really good too). Service was great as well (possibly because it was quiet and there must've been one wait staff per table). In general, hotel restaurants tend to be more expensive, but not these guys. Prices were competitive (or similar) vs all the restaurants in chamonix. That being said, nothing in chamonix is particularly cheap. Finally the live music performances that came on were entertaining to watch as well, lending to a pleasant atmosphere.

01/09/2024: J’adore ce restaurant. Qualité des plats, gentillesse du personnel, décoration, emplacement… Tout est top. Mention spéciale pour le magret de canard à tomber par terre.

30/08/2024: Grosse arnaque 20€ pour une "salade César" avec des morceaux de poulet pané d'une couleur et d'un goût très, très douteux, on ne parle même pas des anchois. Vraiment pas bon. La carte est des plus banales, difficile de comprendre comment quelqu'un voudrait ouvrir une affaire pour se fouttre de la tête des gens de cette manière.

18/08/2024: Easy tent just before the Crest bridge. We were there on Saturday morning and you could only order a coffee or something to drink. They didn't have breakfast which I thought was a shame. It is busy there. But there are nicer restaurants in the center. It is also quite busy here with traffic. Dogs are welcome on the terrace

29/02/2024: I went there again this year and I was always just as satisfied, the pork belly was succulent and very tasty, congratulations to the Chef!!!!! I highly recommend this restaurant

22/09/2024: Very friendly and good-willed waitress… But then big organizational problem, dishes come with sauce instead of without, the fondue nothing exceptional, out of stock for certain accompaniments... You are forced to listen to rap for 30 minutes in a restaurant in the evening... thanks to the waitress who asked the manager to change the music for the customers... the crème brûlée served on a second plate full of sauce (see in the photo)… really not professional at all and catastrophic management… and above all, completely false and uncontrolled notes. We paid 103€ and the wrong bill was 179€!!! Free salad (it was the minimum!) I left a tip for the waitress who did her best.

18/09/2024: We have already been here for the first time and the waiter was very welcoming. But this time, a very cold reception. The lights went out and then back on. It took 1 hour to get the first dish, a table much too small for that. We had no place, we were not offered water during the meal. While the other customers for the same meal had the biggest drinks and were offered water. The fondue was all lumpy, the servers were also very rough. No “bon appetit” or “please” The cutlery was barely taken from our hands. For dessert, we had to wait another 45 minutes, even though there were 6 tables in the restaurant. I wouldn't come back, when I have the other negative opinions I completely agree with them. Then there is a bell that just rings throughout the meal. The waiters come and go outside. Restaurant to avoid!

15/09/2024: Passing through the area for the weekend, came across it by chance and very pleasant surprise, very pleasant owner, good atmosphere, very good dishes and good value for money, if you are passing through I recommend it.

05/09/2024: A good table, a fair price and a friendly moment thanks in particular to the smile of a manager who takes great care of his customers. Le Tavaillon is one of those places that allows you to discover good Savoyard specialties (the homemade Tiramisu is also highly recommended) and to keep very good memories of the region. As proof, we even went back the next day! Thank you again!
